@AnneLovesGilbert Oh poor little mite. She's in the best place right now though so hopefully they can sort her out asap.

Well I have tomorrow off too which is good. Turns out I really needed it just to lounge. I haven't taken holiday since I started there in September and I guess because I rushed and came back in December the week before Christmas I haven't really thought about looking after myself properly. I've just done overtime because I panicked and thought I should make up for lost time.

@di626 I had to double-check which thread it was then! Smile I really hope so, I'm glad it's below 20 but I'm so, so tired of seeing lines now

@UnicornsandRainbows1 😂😂 we fit in too many of them 🙈

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/01/2018 15:26

@di626 I had to keep going in and out of this thread and then have a look at the other one to make sure your name was on there too (despite knowing that you clearly are!!).

Mind fuckery I tell you, woman! 😂

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I do hope she rallies. I know my cat has been a great source of comfort to me through everything.

unicorns glad to hear things are drifting down, albeit slowly. I know when I had similar issues once my HCG got below 20 they were happy.

miami, if you're out there I hope you're doing ok and have had some progress with your appointments.

I'm pleased to report that all was still looking ok at my second scan on Tuesday. Have another a week tomorrow and if that is all ok I think they will hand me back to the usual antenatal care. Still feeling incredibly cautious but DH has been a lot more positive after the last scan which is nice.

MogScratch · 26/01/2018 07:18

Anne - thanks for asking at end of last thread. I'm feeling fine and 20 week scan didn't show any issues, so hopefully we can have an uneventful second half of pregnancy. Feels like such a long pregnancy, because of the miscarriages merging together, but for the first time I'm actually looking pregnant.

Sorry to hear about your cat. I hope the vets have been able to help her and she is safely home with you.

Also fingers crossed test yesterday was just too early and you have been successful this time. Did you say that you didn't had a super early positive test previously?

Unicorn glad things going in the right direction for you. I can understand your wanting to relax and not look for ovulation once your body finally gets back in gear, but I've tried both ways - personally I found it more reassuring knowing when I ovulated (which was later than normal) rather than not knowing if I had and eventually doing Opks and pregnancy tests together, because I had no clue where I was in cycle. Obviously everyone different, but just an alternative consideration.

Keepon - glad things looking good for you too. Hope everything continues to go well.

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/01/2018 09:30

We brought her home and they thought she'd continue to improve, but she'd lost her sight and wasn't herself at all. Had lots of cuddles and I dozed off and on on the sofa and she died this morning. Glad she was here with me, but feeling heartbroken to have lost her.

di626 · 26/01/2018 10:02

@AnneLovesGilbert im so sorry, it is such heartbreak xxx

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/01/2018 10:08

@MogScratch I think the more things are settling in the right direction, the more I'm leaning towards ovulation tests, even if it's only for two months to see where I am.

@Anne I'm so sorry!

I'm so sorry Anne, glad you got some cuddles at the end....

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/01/2018 15:38

Right, I need some perspective. Sorry if I'm repeating myself to some of you.

If I am getting (pretty damn faint) + pregnancy tests (should be around 10 hcg in bloods) how likely is it that I'll get a positive/very near positive because of it?

The pic with the two tests together are the most recent pg tests - the right test is yesterday's P.T, left is from Monday. Sorry they're both dry)

The OPK test line appeared very, very quickly but I'm not sure if that means much. Anyone have any experience with this? :/

I’m being thick unicorns but did you take a new pg test today and it’s a strong positive, compared to previous ones which were still faint post mc? Sorry, I’m probably missing something.

I have no experience of OPK but people get BFPs on them too.

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/01/2018 20:05

mog and keepon, so happy to hear your good news x

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/01/2018 20:21

@AnneLovesGilbert I took a pregnancy test Monday and yesterday. Took a OPK today (the other two pics). I'm not sure how positive it should be as I only have a tiny amount of hcg left in my system.

Eurgh, this hurts my head.

OP posts:
AnneLovesGilbert · 26/01/2018 20:47

I don’t blame you. Are you looking ovulation?

So sorry, my head is scrambled but I’m here for you! Keep chatting and I’ll try and make sense.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/01/2018 21:47

@Anna Grin No worries. It's a Friday after all and you've had a rough day!

Unicorn - just looked back at my app. I didn't have anything retained after either miscarriage and got nearly negative test after about 2 weeks. Then first time I got period about 2 weeks after that, but I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate that cycle (or a couple after it). Second time I had positive Opk and I definitely ovulated about 2 weeks after negative hpt, so 4 weeks after miscarriage. I think ovulating 2 weeks after negative hpt is fairly common, but that's probably based on people who hcg drops quickly. it can be sooner and I read that you can ovulate with low levels of hcg in your blood. As your hcg has been going down slowly, it seems possible that you could be ovulating. Do you get other signs of ovulation that might help give better indication of what's happening? Ps I got negative Opk test at about same time my hpt was nearly negative, so strong Opk is not certain with faint hpt.

MogScratch · 26/01/2018 22:36

Just chat and not scientific, but this talks a bit about ovulation with low hcg remaining. I remembered though that I have had positive Opks just before period too - things are so confusing after miscarriage. Don't know what's happening until its happened normally and same signs could mean different things.

And also this comment from another forum: It's not true that you won't ovulate before your hCG is below 5. I had a partial molar pregnancy last year and had a D&C in September. PMP requires weekly bloodwork to ensure that your hCG resolves to "negative" since it carries a risk of cancer afterward. One of the many things I learned via the whole stinking situation is that you can ovulate anytime your hCG is under 100. In my own case, I ovulated 2 weeks after my D&C and in that week, my hCG was somewhere between 131 and 25. My period came exactly two weeks after that, and I STILL wasn't negative.

MogScratch · 26/01/2018 22:38

Anne - I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. But sure she was glad to be having cuddles with you at the end. You have had such a tough time recently, I hope things get better for you soon.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/01/2018 22:58

@MogScratch Well my hope level is going back up Grin

Thank you for finding that link for me. If it helps, on Thursday my hCG levels were 14, on Monday it was 12 so I'm slowly getting there. Part of me thinks that if there were low enough for AF two weeks ago then maybe, just maybe I can ovulate too.

I have some EWCM but not very much of it. I think it's because my body is still adjusting to everything. I remember getting a positive OPK around cd20 or so after my first AF with the first mc, so maybe it'll be the same this time round and it's just taking a long time to gear up as everything has been so sluggish these past couple of months. I just don't get why one side of me feels a bit odd. Even if it doesn't successfully ovulate I feel like it's trying to do something in there. Maybe that's wishful thinking.

That's why I added the pictures though. The pregnancy tests are so faint compared to the OPK one (but with hCG being probably below 10 now, it shouldn't really be there at all on a 25mUI test but there we are Hmm)

I've just been reading to catch up with you all. Anne I am so sorry about your cat - I'm glad you were with her at the end, but I know it's absolutely horrible and so upsetting to lose a beloved pet. I'm so sorry that you've had to go through so much recently - it's not fair and you are a lovely person who deserves so much better Flowers

keeponrunning85 · 27/01/2018 11:11

So sorry to hear about your cat Anne. Flowers

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/01/2018 13:01

Right, we have a negative/squinted here! THANK. GOD.

Excellent news unicorn, seems like a strange thing to say, but t really pleased for you and hope this helps to start looking forward!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/01/2018 17:25

I'm feeling in a much better place than I was the start of the week that's for sure. I'm trying to figure out whether I found a LH surge yesterday or not (today's OPK is a bit fainter)
