December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

Grr last night was last chance to bd as dh is away for next few days, and he was too tired . We only did it twice this month in my fertile time so I doubt this will be my month😭

Feeling rather bleugh this morning. We were both too tired yesterday to dtd so we haven't even done it in fw but seeing as I'm trying to do the I'm not bothered if it's this month I'm attempting to be relaxed about it. I was going to do an opk this morning but there was a spider next to the toilet so anyways might do an opk later but I'll be negative as I had positive on Friday...... watch this space I guess

Ah owl you never know though! Sometimes it’s the months your convinced you stand no chance that it somehow happens!

We managed to dtd last night so I don’t feel stressed out as much now! I just hope I actually ovulate this time as I need a break and a good nights sleep 😂

I feel your pain ladies. My DH has various trips coming up, one or two nights away with work etc. It's amazing how much of an impact these things can have on ttc if they fall at the wrong time. Between his work pattern and my shifts I find myself looking for windows of opportunity to dtd that might give us a shot at a BFP. Then have to try not to put too much pressure on, as it kills the mood.

Next period due on the 15th December

CD13 here. I was hoping to dtd last night but I came back from a weekend away ill and I was wiped out and I didnt want DP to get ill too. Hoping we can manage tonight as we last dtd on CD9 so it isnt going great over here. Bloody illnesses messing up everyone's plans

This might be a silly question but does having a cold impair your chances of conception?

I'm on CD 8 and starting to BD every other day from today. However both myself and my DP have come down with a cold, all achy feeling.

We are still going to plough on ahead with our ttc this month. But will us feeling under the weather affect our chances?

I wouldn't have thought so @nk1605, as long as you can still get yourselves in the mood enough to dtd!

When is everyone due to test? I won't be due to test until 23rd Dec.

I'm not due to test until 11th December...that's if I can actually hold off until then!

From my OPK’s I believe I ovulated last night so I’m 1dpo today, cd17! Which means I should be able to test on the 1st or so with a FRER. Really gonna try hold out till then. I didn’t have many ovulation symptoms this month but then I never have before TTC so that is my norm! I am already excited, we DTD lots over the w/end so praying it’s been enough!

Hi ladies definitely feeling your positivity @Fia256 hoping to dtd tonight which will be nice bit dh working a late shift so fingers crossed for some energy haha I'll have to make him a strong coffee!

I won't test this month till 4th December as I'm fairly certain I'm out that is when Af due

Ooh yes get some caffeine down him owl I can’t lie, my dh last night was knackered and not up for it and neither was I really! I’m always like this during ovulation though so I forced both him and myself lol 😂

A few of us all seem to be within a day or so of each other! I’m going to do a test on Saturday, which will probably be a waste, but on the rare chance i ovulated when I originally thought, I could possibly get a bfp. If however it’s bfn which I’m 99.9% certain it will be due to delayed ovulation, then I’ll hold out until 1st dec. don’t know who I’m kidding with that but I can at least try and tell myself I will lol

Looking a bit of advice. This is my first month properly using OPKs. I wasnt going to start using them until CD 10 as per the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. However, because my cycles a bit erratic I decided to take a test today which is CD 8. I know this isn't a positive result as the line is not as dark or darker than the control line, but does this mean I am only a few days away from a positive? I thought CD 8 was a bit early!

No idea when I'm due to test, my ovia app has switched to a big fat question mark...

AF is due on 5th so I'll probably test on the 6th if it doesnt arrive. Maybe wishful thinking but I don't actually have any tests in the house and I managed to hold out last month so hopefully I can again. I don't want to literally piss money down the toilet

CD: still on last cycle but think it might be 1 if today was AF (bleeding has stopped now)

@Fia256 @Owlpatrol I am also due AF on the 4th but going to test on the 1st!

@nk1605 I got that result around 3 days before I got my super dark line

@nk1605 yes you'll probably get a positive within the next few days... mine darkens gradually too so keep testing! Most of the month I had no line at all.
@owlpatrol the spider on the toilet made me laugh!!

So I'm frustrated... I as so sure I had done everything right this month and the opks eere all positive and we bd 4 or 5 times in fw.... but my temperature hasn't risen pist ovulation!! I thoight I ovulated on Friday so surely should have seen a rise by now! This is my first month temping so tbf i could have messed it up entirely I guess... but there's been NO rise whatsoever! So now I'm wondering if I've even ovulated!! Urghhh so annoying. Going to dtd this eve in case it's just delayed ovulation by a few days (stressful job) but now I don't know ehat to think! :(

Well AF due 9th Dec which coincidentally is my works Christmas party so I'm kind of hoping I am late but will defo have to do test before then as if it BFP then t-total for me this crimbo. No issue though really as i dont really drink but I was looking forward to a vodka or 5. I have

@surreygirl1987 exact same thing happened to me this month! Positive opk, temp dip, on the temp dip day I had really sore boobs and pains etc. Temp went up higher than the dip but not higher than before. Then 3 days later another positive opk. Thought I should be 4dpo today but think I may have ovulated today instead. Hoping to see a temp rise tomorrow or I’ll be really fucked off to be frank! If you have any opks left it may be worth testing again tomorrow x

TTC #2 after 9 years!
First cycle TTC, according to my app should be ovulating around Dec 3rd, have got some ovulation tests so will be using them too if I can figure it all out! Next period due Dec 18th!
