December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

I swear poas is such a money making scheme. I think they actually make some of them so they will be negative or so they'll be absolute squinters so that you buy more! I have had a couple of digi's in the past that have just been completely blank!

That's the most annoying the expensive ones that don't work!

Another ridiculously clear bfn on frer this morning. Can't tell if I'm feeling crampy pre-af (due tomorrow) or I'm just more aware of what's going on down there.

I'm so frustrated, we got a bfp our first month TTC which ended in a mc in September and nothing since then. I've got a thermometer & OPKs ready to order on amazon at the 1st sign of af

@sophherts. I am in the same boat as you. Mc late August on first try and nothing since. I've always fallen quickly before. I have no cramps (possibly due tomorrow too) but I am a bit teary, which I gave been getting before af but I'm wondering if that's just because I really don't want it to come!

I don't know if anyone else gets it but the night before I'm due on I all of a sudden feel exhausted like I can't keep my eyes open.

I think I'm going to opk twice a day and temp next cycle if flo comes. Although I'm already dtd every other day lol!

@LookingAtTheStars89 it's so hard not to read into every tiny thing our bodies are doing!

I'm also going to opk and temp next month if af appears, let's see if that works...

Hi all, coming aboard the December bus! It's month 13 for me, so I'm currently waiting for a doctors appointment to get tests etc rolling. However, I'm staying positive and treating it like any other cycle until then.

This month I've brought a Fertilette. Anyone tried one of these? It's like a mushroom shaped plug that you stick inside you after intercourse, keeping the sperm near the cervix. Obviously it's lovely and romantic. So my post-coital routine will be plug in, cushion under arse.

I've worked out I'll be 11DPO on Xmas day, so am going to test then! Pretty nerve-wracking as it could be a massive disappointment, but at least it'll be socially acceptable to have champagne for breakfast if it's a BFN.

Awww @dingdongdigeridoo fx for you. The mushroom sounds horrendous but needs must 🙈 I hope it's more comfortable than I'm imagining x

I think it's because you don't have enough temperatures for a base line so it's marking where your test picked up ovulation instead

Ahhh I see thank you. So probs that a started temping too late rather than ovulation not confirmed x

Impatientmammy it waits until 3 successive temp rises before the crosshairs appear xx

My temps 37.8 I can't see that rising 2 more times 😔 my tempings pretty inaccurate anyway I just want a graph 😂 x

They dont have to be rises it counts the level ones too xx

I’ve never done my BBT. Can I ask, what is it used for other than ovulation? I already use ovulation strips and usually get a strong positive (plus hefty ovulation pains), so is there any extra benefit to taking my temperature?

@Honeycake86 and @ImpatientMammy I would defo buy one of your tests!!! I'm 7 dpo and resorting to oversized sports bras because having my normal underwire is bloody killing me!! I still have ewcm, does that mean i could still be ovulating even though i have done once already this month?

@dingdongdigeridoo I'm new to it I think just before AF your temp continues to rise if pregnant whereas it would drop if not. If someone knows what they're talking about def listen to them though

Oh gosh @dingdongdigeridoo I'm like you however not plucked the courage to go for tests till new year now.... I'll be about 5dpo on Xmas day so sadly holding out till new years for testing!

Oh god @ImpatientMammy i've never had it before but every month is like a bloody box of chocolates, i never know what i'm goin to get! I really hope so, OH has just got himself a new job so if nothing else this month, thats 1 thing i'm extramely grateful for. I'm going crazy with waiting though, is 8dpo too early with an FRER?

dingdong I've never heard of a fertilette but I'm using flex cups, which are essentially to do the same thing. I used them (well they were called soft cups then) the month that I got my bfp with dd1, so hopefully work for me again.

Aaaahhhh yay @Gem173 it's almost as exciting as a BFP isn't it 😂🙈 x

(they are actually a menstrual cup but people use them as a concetion aid too).

@ImpatientMammy it is!! I get so excited watching that line appear! Means everything’s going Well! However oh wants a bath before we dtd tonight because he has a few aches and pains, hoping it won’t decrease our chances of conceiving.
