December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

I feel a bit frustrated again this morning I’m hoping my thermometer is broken!! Had low temps (3dpo today) since the clear ovulation dip, however those 3 low temps have been after being up and down all night with dd which should surely mean I should be getting higher than normal temps as it’s not my bbt?

So now I’m questioning if I even ovulated when I thought. And in which case could mean we’ve missed it now as last dtd on suspected ov day. I’ve also just done an opk which looks positive?! I’m so fed up of this shit

Well glow has moved ovulation day to tomorrow. It’s clearly not going to happen this month now and I’m so fucked off and feel totally defeated by all this

When is your Af due? Are you going to try and not early test this month?

I've gone full on Christmas shopping mode to take my mind off things. We only dtd last Monday which was too early as I think I ovulated Friday. Got the usual symptoms this morning post ovulation. I was going to do a opk but forgot haha! Even if we dtd today I fear too late but thinking of your previous post to me keeping some hope for this month

I don't think the apps can handle it tbh because my ovia goes all over the place

Well I thought af would be due on the 30th going by when I thought I’d ovulated. But now it’s looking like the 4th dec instead. I honestly could just cry this morning. Everything looked so good this month, body looked like it was getting back on track, and now this!!! I’ve never ovulated as late as cd20 before, and that’s if I even ovulate tomorrow. I hate all this I really do

@Fia sorry to hear that!! This TTC stuff is so complicated, I wish there was a clear way our bodies let us know we are ovulating. Temperature and mucus are way too complex! I quite often ovulate between CD18-20 so I don’t think it’s that unusual, but quite frustrating. My avg cycle is anywhere from 28-34 days long.

Also add I have the clear blue monitor too. Had highs on that for a while week although I’ve read that’s common the first month you use it anyway. But the high is supposed to show increase in estrogen and then the peak when you actually get the surge. The weird thing is it didn’t pick up the peak today, just said high. And that was with the same sample I used for the IC opk?! Surely if I was getting the surge it would of shown as peak. Arghh!! Next month I’m genuinely doing absolutely nothing and just having sex and hope for the best

Now I'm genuinely no expert at all but I thought your bbt was supposed to dip at the point when estrogen was at its highest and then at ovulation the LH surge happens and your bbt goes a 3rd higher than your normal temp before the dip. Looking at your chart hunni, it doesn't look like you've ovulated yet....i could be wrong though!!!! Every woman is different. That's probably why your tracker has moved. An opk is only a secondary device, what a tracker concentrates on the most is bbt and cm. Xxx

Ahhh @Fia what a nightmare for you! I'm never sure when I've ovulate either, then you read about the best times to dtd in the lead up to ovulation day/on ovulation day - and I just think, well I don't really know when that is so let's just hope for the best!

My current plan is to just dtd as much as possible in the fortnight around the fertile window. It will most likely end up being every 2/3 days but that's the best we can do with a busy few weeks at work (shifts).

I have been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests, but they are driving me mad! I just get loads of flashing smilies, but never a peak! I have been using them for 4 months now, but I’m not going to buy any more after this cycle as I don’t think they are accurate for me

I agree I don’t think I have ovulated yet which is seriously irritating!

However, just got the other thermometer out, and I’ve just used both at the same time just to see that my one I’ve been using is working. There’s over a whole degree difference!! So I do think it’s broken as the low temps over the last 3 days make absolutely no sense whether I’ve ovulated or not!

Just not going to stress now. What will be will be

So frustrating! I have had ewcm the last 3 days, so I’m presuming I have ovulated/am ovulating, despite the lack of peak on the tests!

Ovulation calculator reckons ovulation is today. Ovia reckons it’s tomorrow. What are your thoughts? So nervous I don’t wanna wait another month :( DTD plenty so not worried about that, just that it won’t work like last month!

Just got a positive static smiley on Clearblue opk. Been cramping and having ewcm for a week now though, does that seem like a long time? Doesn’t usually happen like this for me. Doing sperm meets egg plan so the 3 days of dtd everyday start today!

Yes Fia I think funky is right... there is supposed to be a dip before the rise so.maybe that's it? Also I don't find my temps reliable at ALL.. I guess everyone's different.

I think I've pinpointed my ovulation to one of two days thanks to a combo of clearblue smileys and the cheap ebay opks... dtd 4 days in a row so know I'm covered this month but think my poor husband is worn out, the poor guy!! Got my pineapple ready too. Guess this is 1dpo. Thisnid the first month we've actually tried PROPERLY so I'm excited!!

This is a positive opk isn’t it 🙄 I really hope dh is going to be up for dtd again tonight! My body must have geared up to ovulate then didn’t. Which is hugely annoying as now it makes the tww even longer!!

No such luck for me this weekend. I'm definitely out unless there was some strong swimmers from Monday haha! That somehow stayed alive till today.

If not just think of all the champagne, baileys, pate you can have over December! We are all a bit nuts hoping to conceive the one month of the year when it’s quite inconvenient

Well dh is lying on the sofa feeling really ill. Why. Why why why. I’m out for this month now I’m sure of it. Can only hope I ovulate today, I have had ovulation pains today but then probably wouldn’t still be getting positive opk. Which means we’ll only have dtd 4 days before ovulation. I wouldn’t mind but if I’d ovulated when my body geared up to originally, we’d of time it bloody perfectly.

@fia don’t beat yourself up! These things happen and it means you can enjoy all the Christmas parties!!

4 days before ovulation still gives you a good chance though so I don’t think you’re out yet!
