December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

TTC: #1
Cycle 4 of properly trying, 6 of no protection
Age: 28

Babydreaming · 06/11/2017 12:37

@DT2016 thank you! Might try them too.

LostMyBaubles · 06/11/2017 13:23

I've just bought Tescos own brand for preg and conception multi vits

Been taking them a while now

Presh12345 · 06/11/2017 13:24

I'll join every bus until I get my bfp!! MMC in June at 9+4 and been trying since i got the all clear on 5 July. Baby dust to all xx

LostMyBaubles · 06/11/2017 14:04

Presh (and everyone else)
Hope you get your bfp soon x

AF arrived a few days ago- 2 days after I had coil taken out.

Thankfully it's starting to slow down!

Will be dtd every day to every other day to maximise chances, pre natal vits and lots of water (I have kidney problems so always need to increase intake)

Will be doing opks to mainly poas lol

spydie · 06/11/2017 14:08

Joining too! Just got myself the ovia app which has suggested totally different dates to what I was working on Wink

TTC#2
Cycle 2
Age 33
AF due Dec 7th

Always had a 27/28 day cycle, but last couple have been 35 so who knows!?

Currently hating my job with a passion. Desperately want to leave but they pay 6 months full pay so really hoping this happens sooner so I can just ride it out and then leave after maternity. Foolish dreams!!

BandhaAid · 06/11/2017 14:13

Age 32
TTC #2
Cycle #2

On to cycle 2 after a weird few days. My luteal phase is usually 10 days long but my AF arrived in Saturday 3 days late, which was strange. I also still have a high soft cervix, despite being on my period, so I'm confused but that's Mother Nature for you.

louella99 · 06/11/2017 16:11

So pleased to see this thread up and running.

Age 30
TTC #1

Have Ovia app on the go and conception vits (cheap brand but has all the basics). Have tried cheap opks but never get positives, don't think I do them regularly enough

peterpanwendy · 06/11/2017 18:18

I’ve bought opk’s this month. We DTD every day for the whole of my fertile window so wondering if thats too much? Hmm or thinking maybe I got my dates mixed up and opk’s can help but I seriously have no idea what I’m doing with them, any insight anyone?

Every time I go for a wee I feel sad - stupid AF!

Owlpatrol · 06/11/2017 18:31

Well AF is truly in full flow (excuse the pun) here. Absolutely no excuses for gaining a few pounds here lol! It's down hill right till the new year?!?! Just taking folic acid here because that's about all I can remember to take lol baby dust to everyone this month! X

LostMyBaubles · 06/11/2017 19:11

Nhs recommends dtd every other day
So that when the egg is released sperm is already there waiting so increased chances of getting pregnant

Babydreaming · 07/11/2017 09:44

TMI alert. My period is super heavy this month, like leaking onto the bed sheets heavy and changing pads every couple of hours. Does anybody else have this? I’ve always had very heavy periods and had a child regardless so I don’t think it affects my fertility but it’s difficult! I read that anything over 80ml over the period is considered excessive. I know it’s hard to estimate but I feel I lose way more than that! Anyone else?

@spydie - my Ovia dates are different from what I would have guessed too! I think cus my cycle varies from 28-32 days it’s difficult to predict. Do you follow it on Ovia or use something else?

I don’t think it matters how many times you dtd. When we were trying we dtd every day and did conceive that cycles but another time we were trying to avoid pregnancy, dtd once when I ovulate super late and got pregnant! That ended in a miscarriage but I think it shows that you can get pregnant either way?

LostMyBaubles · 07/11/2017 12:35

Babydreaming I have heavy periods too.
Exactly like yourself, leaking onto sheets/ clothes despite wearing 2 pads and changing every other hour

That was the advice my GP gave us as if the sperm is there in the tubes waiting on the egg (sperm only lives a few days in the body with in the RIGHT environment)

Gives greater chance of pregnancy but not guaranteed. Sometimes an egg is fertislied but as it's travelling to the womb it doesn't stick, hence late periods and negative pregnancy tests.

Not losing anything with dtd lol

AF has finished 😁

LostMyBaubles · 07/11/2017 12:37

Babydreaming sorry, didmt read your full post properly, really sorry about your loss Flowers

heavenforbid · 07/11/2017 12:48

Hi everyone, day 2 of AF over here so would love to join the bus!

Finger's crossed for lot's of festive BFPs! Although my MIL told me we shouldn't try over Christmas - yeah, nah.

TTC #1
Age: 26
Cycle: 2 of properly trying, 9 of not-not-trying
AF/BFP due: 16th December ish (42 day-ish cycles - booo)
Taking folic acid, vitamin D & iron.

Had bloods done this morning for prolactin, LH & FSH as I have a 50% chance of my eggs passing on a lethal condition, so doctors agreed not to waste time waiting for the 1 year of trying mark as we're likely to have problems anyway.

Good luck everyone!

Maidmummy · 07/11/2017 12:53

Hopping on board too Smile

25
Ttc #3
Cycle number 6
Currently CD2

Started taking seven seas pre conception again as i fell pregnant with DS first month taking them after 6 months trying so hoping they work their magic again. BFP/AF due around 5th - 7th december.

kate288 · 07/11/2017 13:33

Hey can I join? I'm 28 and ttc number 1! On my 2nd cycle but definitely got my hopes up last month. Came off the pill in September. Fingers crossed Smile

Anonymbus · 07/11/2017 16:13

Hi all, I'd love to join, too. Currently ttc #2, cycle 2 and I'm 35. Fingers crossed for everyone. Smile

Anonymbus · 07/11/2017 16:15

Forgot to say: BFP due around 5 December.

piglet81 · 07/11/2017 16:55

Hello, can I join the gang? Am 36, TTC no. 2. Cycle 5 (MC cycle 3). My cycles are long so will be testing around 10 Dec if no sign of af by then.

AJ89 · 07/11/2017 20:21

Well I’m on cd6 and have the blooming Norovirus! Hoping it doesn’t carry on for too long. Never been so sick in all my life. Please tell me that morning sickness won’t be as bad as this? Grin

peterpanwendy · 07/11/2017 21:14

@AJ89 hope you feel better soon, I had that this time last year it knocks you right out, horrible!

AJ89 · 07/11/2017 21:32

@peterpanwendy thank you, can’t wait to feel better. X

spydie · 07/11/2017 21:35

babydreaming just started tracking on Ovia. My cycles always used to be 27/28 days and it was always clear when I'd ovulate, EWCM, ovulation pain etc. But last couple of months cycles have increased to circa 35 days, hence Ovia suggesting a totally different fertile window to what my norm used to be. which makes sense...fingers crossed for us all this month!!!

surreygirl1987 · 07/11/2017 23:03

I'll join the bus!
30 years old
Ttc #1
Cycle 4
AF due 2nd December

Right, this month we are going to give it our very best shot! We were half hearted the past 3 months, assuming it would just happen! Silly Me!

So this month I'm going to do the following:
Opks
Bbt
Epo and pre natal vitamins
Pineapple over ovulation dates
Lots of exercise and sleep
Eat more veg and less sugar
Dtd every other day and every day in fw (using fertility friend app)

Wow that sounds like overkill! So impatient! Jealous of those who get a bfp their first month!

Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed for an amazing Christmas present!
