Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

Jumping on the bus for the first time
Age 30
TTC #1
Cycle #1
AF due 8th December
Hope you all get the festive wishes you're hoping for

Foreverretro · 15/11/2017 16:34

Hi All,

Jumping over from the November bus - had an anovulatory cycle this time so I’m counting the start of my 3 days of spotting as CD1... making this CD 3 for me!

Age: 32
TTC #1
Cycle: 3
BFP due 11/12...

Good luck everyone!

Babydreaming · 15/11/2017 18:18

@foreverretro how do you know you didn’t ovulate last month? Is it just cus of the light period?

Owlpatrol · 15/11/2017 18:30

Eeek @Fia256 fingers crossed this month! I had a really short period like 4 days this month so having to use apps and calculation back from when period next due. My mum taught me this old wives tale about calculating apparently it worked for her...anyway fw due this weekend did an lol this morning completely negative so going to try again tomorrow hopefully dtd tonight anyway x

louella99 · 15/11/2017 18:38

How often are people aiming to dtd? I aim for every other day. I find myself looking ahead at my shifts and getting annoyed if there are 2/3 days in a row when we won't see each other. Particularly as these seem to fall smack bang in the middle of fertile week haha!

Foreverretro · 15/11/2017 20:26

@Babydreaming I did quite a lot of OPKs and I track my temp & CM... almost definitely didn’t ovulate, here is my chart...

Foreverretro · 15/11/2017 20:29

@louella99 we try to DTD at least every other day during fertile week, apparently that gives the best chance, or so I’ve read anyway!!

PennyBC26 · 15/11/2017 21:09

Joining this for the first time ladies!! Just started TTC on November 1st...obviously I’ve spent every spare minute I get googling early symptoms, it’s addictive but also frustrating!! Fingers and toes crossed for us all! xx

peterpanwendy · 16/11/2017 06:42

Welcome to everyone new who’s joined us this month :)

I have had a faint bfp on an OPK this morning, it’s my first time using one so don’t really know what this means?! Does it mean I’m ovulating soon?

TIA :)

@peterpan you should keep testing same time each day and when the test line is either as dark or darker than the control line you're about to ovulate. Looks like you've got a few days to go yet. Keep dtd! They say to test late afternoon early evening for opks but not sure how true that is.

Fia256 · 16/11/2017 07:57

@peterpanwendy ovulation sticks will always have a second line, for it to be positive it needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. They aren’t the easiest things to use when you haven’t used them before as the second line can be quite obvious but still neg

Fia256 · 16/11/2017 08:00

I would add though, it’s worth getting a couple of packs and testing a couple times a day.

This month I’ve had a really short LH surge by the looks of it. Yesterday I did three tests. morning, it was almost positive, midday it was a clear dark positive, then by the evening I had an almost positive again, then this morning I’ve had the most obvious ovulation dip I’ve ever seen so if I hadn’t taken one midday, I’d of missed seeing it for certain!

misshannah · 16/11/2017 08:25

I'm 7DPO, I cannot wait for next week to test! I'm having loads of PMS symptoms including lots of mucus (sorry TMI), hoping it isn't AF. I know it's normal but GAHHH! I am so impatient.

Owlpatrol · 16/11/2017 08:43

Morning ladies I do my opk tests in the morning becuase during the day i drink so much water i go to the loo every half hour! It was a faint line this morning for me fw not due to start till the weekend. Feeling a bit down in the dumps though today which is so defeatist even before fw I know!

louella99 · 16/11/2017 09:51

So am I right in thinking that when you get your positive opk (line as dark/darker than the control) that means you're about to ovulate. And you ovulate in the next 12-36 hours? That's what I've read but I find them quite confusing! The best I've ever got was an almost-as-dark line but never a proper positive

SydBound27 · 16/11/2017 10:03

Yeah they certainly are confusing. That's right though Louella. I found the digital ones helped a lot as it tells the difference between 'almost positive' and 'definitely pos' so there wasn't that confusion. They ain't cheap though!

Fia256 · 16/11/2017 11:16

Ah I’m so annoyed. Went for an appointment for recurrent miscarriage today, and the dr did a smear for me as I’m due one anyway. I’m only ovulating today! I really hope she hasn’t just wiped away any chance of it happening now this month! She did assure me it’s fine and makes no difference. But when I’ve been at this damn game far too long now I can’t help but feel frustrated incase it has!

Babydreaming · 16/11/2017 12:31

@fia I don’t see how a smear could ask influence things? They just take a brushing of your cervix. If you’re ovulating then your egg will be just leaving the ovary to travel down Fallopian tube and any sperm that are likely to be successful will be in Fallopian tube! It shouldn’t make a difference.

Hope that’s reassurance!

Fia256 · 16/11/2017 12:47

Thanks @Babydreaming that is a reassurance Smile

holzbobs · 16/11/2017 13:03

Hi all :)

Coming over from the November bus, cycles have gone 28,29 and 30 days after coming off the pill.

Age 24
TTC #1
Cycle 3
BFP due around 14th December

Will be using OPKs this month!

BaliBound · 16/11/2017 13:26

Im just catching up on yesterday and today so im a little late asking but @bubblegum how do you know you're out at 2dpo?

peterpanwendy · 16/11/2017 19:16

According to my cycle calculations I should ovulate on Monday so a faint line on an opk around now sounds about right? I bought loads on amazon really cheap so might do another now :)
