December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

Still a chance of a bfp this month/ new years present would be nice

I normally bleed for 5/6 days so still have a glimmer of hope lol

It’s something to do with sperm trying to catch the egg during the 24-36 hours after the egg being released. Although it says there’s not a big chance of pregnancy after ovulation day, I think it’s done in the hopes that it could catch the egg later on. And I’ve heard it has worked for loads of people.

Well I'm feeling a bit down bit I don't want to be a downer on this thread as everyone is really positive and theres loads of bfps! Sending lots of baby dust to everyone still on the bus. Spotting has started today I could potentially get a bfn in December still as next af will be due 4th January but I'll see if there is a January bus. Fingers crossed all xx

@Owlpatrol nice to have a cycle buddy! I will be due on 31st/1st if I'm not pregnant now so will probably just stay here for a while. It's annoying being the beginning of the month!

So sorry @Sparklesdontshine :( just think you can eat all the wonderful food and drink over Christmas! You can definitely stay in this thread it's only the 2nd and just think you could get a New Years surprise

@LostMyBaubles it's stopped now I'm hoping it comes by the morning or I'll be living in denial 🙄 I never used to get spotting before a period so this is new territory for me x

Hope nobody minds me jumping on. First month TTC this month with donor sperm at home. 11 dpo (I think) not really had many 'signs' other than bloating and gas, pretty sure AF is making her appearance. Due monday/Tuesday so early when I'm normally clockwork. Feeling disheartened :(

Anyone using Fertility Friend app know how the recommended test date works? I'm CD20, got my positive OPK on CD18, and AF due 11th Dec... FF is telling me the best date to do a pregnancy test is 20th Dec?!

Thanks @honeycake86 praying it's nothing. I have just started using fertility friend along side oviva. I like the chart overlay although I think seeing this month on top of last month and elevated temps since insemination might have given my false hope

Welcome Kate and PinkChocolate. Have had some weird cramping this evening but tested earlier and bfn. It’s still quite early 8dpo so trying to stay positive..

Got a little bit of cramping so worrying AF is just going to come late

Weird question but I know with IC tests it says to dip in Urine for 10+ seconds and with FRER it says no more than 5 seconds, is it best to literally dip in for a couple of secs or leave it in there 5 or longer? Don't wanna waste them they're so expensive!

Bought some more frers yesterday and just woke in the night so did one now. A stark white bfn. So clearly the cbafm tests must always have a slight faint second line!

It's really really getting me down now. Each month is frustrating but this month I got a positive opk, body completely geared up to ovulate when it normally does in my cycle, we had dtd every other day all through that week so timing was great and I felt really positive, all for ovulation to delay itself for a whole week and then we only dtd a few days before!!!! Fully expecting AF to show today now. Marked my spot on jan bus but I refuse to buy any tests this month. Not buying opks and not temping. It's clearly all getting too much! Got my birthday this month and also with Christmas I'm hoping I'll just relax and enjoy all that and hope it helps!

I'm at work atm, clearly doing a really good job of being 'relaxed' about TTC by coming on here on my break

AF is here 😔 gutted. Guess we are into cycle #2

CD30, 15DPO and a BFN on a FRER. I'm getting soooo disheartened now. I don't know what more I can do? Just gonna assume AF is late and wait it out now, I have no more FRER's.

On the December bus. Just beginning 2 week wait. Question is - do I drink at Xmas party next week??

@FruitandNutty I've had weird cramping too for the last couple of days. I've been a bit achey and have lots of cm, like a leaky amount so I don't know what's going on there!

@LookingAtTheStars89 that sounds positive! I’ve heard some women say they get more CM when gearing up to bfp! Fx for us both. I tested again with first morning urine and bfn on Frer and IC. I’m 9dpo now.. still too early?

Also I haven’t gone to the gym this month at all as I was worried perhaps I shouldn’t be doing so much when ttc. But now my anxiety levels are sky high as I do find it helps me that way.. want to go today, do you think it’ll be okay even if there is a bean there?

Aww @Fia256 it's horrid waking in the night the tww is a nightmare. I had a good cry in the shower yesterday as I realised that ovulation only happens about 12 times a year if we are lucky and I just felt like the whole world is against me. Still struggling to shake it off this morning

Sorry you're feeling so down @Fia256 .. only CD5 for me. I wish I could say I'm going to be relaxed but know I won't be.

Have given up on temping, was going well until my alarm didn’t go off so I overslept and missed temping for 2 days now :( so am stopping it this month and just see how the cycle goes.
