Yes fingers crossed Haybay. Everything crossed in fact (apart from legs LOL!).

Hope you are feeling better after the emotional release unicorns. The thing I have found since my MCs is how many people have been through it too. Staggering. I am sure if men suffered like this there would have been more research done into it by now, Instead we women often suffer in silence. Sad

Juancornetto · 19/10/2017 15:13

Another one who should be in the 2ww after the weekend! Here's hoping we get BFP's all round Smile

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 19/10/2017 15:19

Exactly. I don't see why we aren't all educated with this to begin with. I know that you won't really know until it happens to you but we're seriously lacking. I didn't even know mmc was a thing before Blush

Luckily my husband came with me and helped me out and spoke to them whilst I was trying to sort myself out. It came from nowhere.

Flatwhite31 · 19/10/2017 16:28

I'm so jealous that some people conceive so quickly after MC. I don't even think I ovulated, despite positive opks. I'm so stressed and depressed it'll never happen at this rate anyway.

coastalchick · 19/10/2017 17:55

I had an early scan last time at what should've been 7+3 but it was measuring 6 (despite seeing a heartbeat then I now know it was measuring small as was not developing and went on to have a MMC just before 10 weeks, tipped off by bleeding). I think this time (if it ever bloody happens again!) I will wait until 8, then have Harmony which comes with a scan at 10, then the usual 12 week.

I'd like to have one at 6 again but just think no point wasting my money after what happened this time. Much better to wait until 8 when it should def be a decent size and go from there.

Of course, if I fall I may not be able to stick to this as will be pregzilla!!!!!

Haybay1 · 19/10/2017 18:02

Good - come on Juan and Magpie we can do this... lol. Definately no crossing of legs haha.. open and accessible 24/7 atm 😂🤣

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 18:13

I agree coastal I will be trying to wait until 8 weeks too. Then harmony at 10 and normal nhs scan at 12. I dream of being able to get excited again. With my last pregnancy I was so anxious until about 8 weeks, finally let myself get excited& believe I would have a baby, & then unfortunately that’s when it all started going wrong.

Good luck to everyone entering the TWW!

@Coastal if being a bridezilla is anything to go by, lord help those around me! Pregzilla haha!

My DH is away this weekend so DTD tonight and Sunday. Hoping I don't ov early again this month (assuming I even ov'd last month at all!). Only on cd7 atm.

Stowie3012 · 19/10/2017 20:43

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to those with bfp’s and good luck to those in or coming up to their 2ww 😊

I plucked up the courage to go back to the docs yesterday (didn’t want to go and end up having a break down) I was prepared with loads of questions.

I’ve always felt certain that I have endometriosis but have never been tested. She told me that I could not have a referral until I either have another 2 unsuccessful pregnancies or do not manage to conceive in the next year!

So that’s pretty shit 😕 she actually said at the end of the appointment ‘ just get on and enjoy your life, because when you have kids there won’t be any time for that’!! I was literally amazed she could be so crass 😢

I have decided to go and see what the acupuncture hype is about and am booked in on the 14th November. I have never managed to record any positive ovulation but clearly do ovulate as was pregnant.

I will literally punch the next person that says ‘just relax and it will happen’ 👿👿

GreyCloudsToday · 19/10/2017 20:50

Sorry Stowie that is so minimising and crap from your Dr.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 20:50

Aw Stowie that’s so shitty of the GP! I’m shocked.. sorry she wasn’t more empathetic. I’m also trying acupuncture for the first time - booked in next Thursday for first session (had a consultation already).

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 20:53

Just to add - temping has been good at clearly indicating I have ovulated. Fertility friend interprets the chart for you so no guessing. OPKs have been hit and miss as I find I need to do them twice a day to catch the surge. Other cycles I’ve had positives for 6 days straight! So maybe the sensitivity is variable- I don’t really trust them anymore!

OP posts:
Stowie3012 · 19/10/2017 20:54

I know! I get that there are people who are much worse off than me, but she just clearly didn’t get it.

Oh @TheGrumpySquirrel let me know how you get on please. I am hoping it will help with my anxiety if nothing else. It’s definitely worth a go anyway.

I also asked about the baby aspirin and was told in no uncertain terms to steer well clear unless you have a diagnosed blood disorder.

Stowie3012 · 19/10/2017 20:55

I am trying temping for the first time this cycle so fingers crossed it might give me a better indication 🤞🤞🤞

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 20:56

I will definitely report back on the acupuncture! I’ve been drinking less as trying to lose weight so I’m hoping that less booze will help the fertility too.

OP posts:
Flatwhite31 · 19/10/2017 20:57

I don't temp as I find it too stressful!

Flatwhite31 · 19/10/2017 20:58

Omg @Stowie3012 what a horrible thing to say! I'm so lucky to have a good GP. Definitely see another GP next time.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 20:59

It takes a while to get the hang of temping but now I do it on autopilot as soon as I wake and before I get out of bed. My geeky challenge this cycle is trying to get a super neat chart!

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/10/2017 21:01

I find it less stressful than the faff of OPK to be honest. I also check cervix and now after many cycles(!) know what it’s like when about to ovulate, very clear change to high soft and open with lots of cm. I get fertile cm for about a week prior to ov though.

OP posts:
Stowie3012 · 19/10/2017 21:06

Well to be honest I haven’t got a great sleep pattern. I constantly wake up through the night. So I’m just seeing how it goes and hoping for a pattern.
My gp was really great when we went for the fertility referral that’s why I’ve stuck with her. Maybe she was having an off day but either way it didn’t help. Was just starting to feel a little better and now I feel like I’ve gone backwards a bit.
It’s so unfair that they won’t refer me for tests when every blood test I’ve had this year has been abnormal.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 19/10/2017 21:29

@Stowie3012 I'm sorry you find yourself here -and that your GP was a fucking twat today-.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 19/10/2017 21:30

Well that failed

beanhunter · 19/10/2017 21:41

So I had scans at 6, 8 and 10. Still had a mmc on my 12 weeks scan and baby had only died the day or two before. Not sure I'll ever feel reassured again.

coastalchick · 19/10/2017 22:07

Yeah I think I'll feel like that until I hold it in my arms bean. Just no faith after what happened really.

squiglyline · 19/10/2017 22:21

@Stowie3012 I thought about 5/6 years ago that I had endometriosis, I went to the doctor and got sent away telling me I was young and my body was changing ( 23yo) I went back and saw him again and said I wanted referred to the hospital. I got an internal ultrasound and Mri scan and nothing showed up and I kept pushing saying I knew something wasn't right, they did an exploratory operation (key hole) nope everything was fine. After a year and a half of this going on I realised my smear tests had been abnormal getting the same from my gp that my body is young and changing. I asked to be referred to gyno and get a biopsy and I had pre cancerous cells on my cervix. Obviously I'm not saying this would be the outcome for you. All I'm saying is don't take no for an answer from your doctor. If your not happy with what they say then get another opinion.
I hope everything is okay and you get pregnant soon x
