SLT is tough but I really enjoy it. I'd got to the point where I was bored with teaching but was enjoying some of the whole school roles I had so was a natural progression. The hardest bit is having to be so tough when I feel so fragile.

We don't have an appointment yet - I don't qualify for an NHS one in my area due to the mc which is why we're going private. I've chosen the clinic though and will book an appointment after my first period in the new year. I went private before and had an appointment within a week.

@grumpy thanks for the luck!! I'll take any I can get! No I didn't have IVF, just asked the recurrent miscarriage clinic about progesterone and they said there is no clear evidence and they wouldn't suggest it if I hadn't asked, but as I had asked, he would give me it... the fact it is used routinely in IVF surely must imply some benefits....

I must admit @voxnihili I'm bored, but I want to go part time! Are you primary or secondary?

@vox my DH is literally the horniest thing around but if he knows I'm ovulating it's absolute game over! So I have to keep it a secret!

I know it's not particularly ideal but to avoid missing fertile week would you consider him having some quiet time with a pot and then you using a syringe? It appears to help some people "perform" if they are not confronted with an actual person...

@grumpy visualisation sounds a great idea. It's used in so many things and can work wonders. I really hope you get there soon xx

Hey folks. May be mia this week as currently at Gatwick waiting to fly to turkey! Much needed break after the summer of crap. Have resisted the urge to bring opks with me. Cd 12 at the moment so indeed to drink cocktails and have sex if we feel like it.

@KerryLeanne84 good luck for the iui.

@beanhunter have an amazing time!

We’re back home today after a really relaxing break.

I temped 2-3 hours later than I usually would today & there was a massive temp jump (higher). That’s quite normal if you change around the times you temp though isn’t it? I’ll try to get back to 6am tomorrow!

Thanks ladies - it's intra-uterine insemination which just means that the sperm is washed and injected into my uterus using a catheter - so they are a lot closer to the egg. I'm also monitored with scans to check on growing eggs and daily injections of gonal f to make eggs grow well. Then I take a trigger shot so they'll know exactly when I'll ovulate and the iui is performed then.

Our local health trust funds x3 iuis and 1 ivf for couples struggling to conceive. The success rate of iui isn't very high - about 1 in 5, but obviously it worked for us once before.

We're having the iui flat because we've been trying since mid 2015 with no luck on our own. After a year I went to the gp and they ran the routine tests but can't see any issues with either of us, so referred us to the fertility clinic.

If a third iui doesn't work (or a fourth which we'd pay for ourselves £1k) we'll be referred to ivf free and we're lucky that we have an excellent clinic nearby. But ivf isn't the magic solution a lot of people think it is - only 65% of patients get a baby. If the first round doesn't work we'd be faced with spending tens of thousands potentially

@KerryLeanne84 That sounds pretty stressful. Bloody numbers. Hoping it all works out for you fx

Unicorns - not a walk in the park! It never even occurred to me that infertility would affect me and now I just hope that I survive it as an intact person

@KerryLeanne84 Flowers Life is a bugger. It doesn't seem to help that so many people seem to fall pregnant so quickly! My Facebook feed today is plastered with photos of a friend of ours (who was 4 weeks behind me) at a baby show in London. I'm ashamed to say I've unfollowed her, as all she seems to post about is baby crap! If I ever get pregnant again, I'm not posting loads about it on social media, as it's the worst thing to see for people who have suffered pregnancy loss and/or infertility.

Have a great time @beanhunter, sounds fab!

Good luck for this try @KerryLeanne84, fingers and toes crossed for you x

@Flatwhite31, I didn't put any scan or bump pics on FB when I was pregnant with DD, didn't even mention it, just put up a pic when she arrived. I'd found pregnancy updates so upsetting when I was struggling to conceive that I felt it would be hypocritical for me to post them. Plus I have a few friends who've really struggled and I knew they wouldn't want to see them either

Shitting it. Pink when I wipe. Just a tiny bit, but this is how my MMC started. I'm 6-7 dpo so is it start of a very early miscarriage or is it AF?

I frigging hate this. Whole life on hold. Gave up my very well paid job as stress was too much for starting a family and decided wanted a baby more. Career stalling whilst people I'm close to progressing theirs when it should be me. Can't fix a wedding date as we want to get to a 12 week pregnant first. Can't do anything with spare room as may have to turn into a nursery. Just sick of it!!!!!

If I was still able to run like I did last year I'd literally get out for a 10 miler now to stop self screaming but have let that go too and now cant even run for a bloody bus

Report
UnicornsandRainbows1 · 21/10/2017 21:58

@coastalchick It might not be either. If it's dpo at 7ish days it could be implant bleeding fx

Report
KerryLeanne84 · 21/10/2017 22:01

Hugs coastal - 6-7 dpo is too early for an embryo to have implanted and then miscarried, there just hasn't been enough time.

I spotted for the first time ever at 7dpo 8 weeks after erpc - bodies are still getting back to normal.

Thanks ladies, it's just so worrying. Esp when all I want is to be pregnant again. Life has kinda stopped being fun since MC, even though trying best to stay fun!
