Halloumi! That's brilliant news! We've got everything crossed for you that it's third time lucky ❤️

TurquoiseDress · 19/09/2017 23:58

@halloumisandwich
Congratulations on the BFP- I have everything crossed that this one all goes smoothly! Flowers

TurquoiseDress · 20/09/2017 00:00

@Flatwhite31
You took the words right out of my mouth!

Yes you're right about not being really bothered about other BFPs, but on here seems to be so much heartache & sadness that has led up to a new BFP

Flatwhite31 · 20/09/2017 06:53

So confused today. Did a test, which is a very very faint BFP (now a squinter). Went for a wee and it was red. I'm now bleeding. Surely this can't be AF just 26 days after my ERPC? I have had no symptoms at all, and surely I can't have an AF with a BFP (even if it's extremely faint)? Whatever it is, it's arrived two hours before I should have been seeing my baby's heartbeat at my 16 week appointment. So cruel.

halloumisandwich · 20/09/2017 07:34

Thanks all. I'm still reeling a bit. Still grieving for the ones I lost so not sure how to feel now i might lose another. It's hard to stay positive but I guess what will be will be and there's nothing I can do to change it, vitamins and resting asides.

Fillybee · 20/09/2017 07:41

Hi everyone, I found an old thread and then traced it to number 12, then @flatwhite helped me find this one, thanks!

I've never really used mumsnet before, but I enjoyed being part of the May 2018 babies thread and I find myself still lurking around that even though I'm out, so hoping this one will fill the gap a bit!!

I have a DS who is 21 months, who I'm so grateful for, then I've had 3 miscarriages this year. In February I miscarried naturally at 7.5 weeks, in May we discovered an anembryonic pregnancy at an 8 week scan, then just miscarried naturally again at 7.5 weeks. We'd had a scan at 6 weeks that had showed a heartbeat.

So it seems I can get pregnant quickly but it doesn't last... anyone else the same?

We took the advice to wait a cycle between each miscarriage but obviously that didn't help so I'm wondering whether not to bother waiting this time, anyone have any experience of this?

Sorry for the long post! xx

coastalchick · 20/09/2017 07:49

@Fillybee - welcome (sorry you're here though) and sorry for your losses.x I have (so far) just had the 1 MC so can't comment but I am sure there are lots of lovely ladies on here who can provide advice.

@Flat - it could well be your AF. I think most people get their period within 4-6 weeks and 26 days is only 2 days off 4 weeks. But I'm not sure about why there would be a BFP. But a lot of ladies have said that after MC our bodies are all over the chip shop so could be doing weird and wacky things. Hope you get some answers.

Well, didn't DTD last night and set alarm for 6am but decided to do a test first as did a cheapie last night and was negative just before bed. Same this morning so we either missed it (and not sure even DTD last night would've caught it) or it was a random LH surge and my body trying to ovulate yet but not managing it after all that's happened.

Going to test each day whilst on hols in case latter but suspect am out for this month (unless by some miracle we managed it from a bit of pre-cum - doubtful and sorry for TMI!) and Clue showing next FW as 16 October.

OH just keeps saying "get on with it" and "nothing we can do about it" but I turn 39 tomorrow and am petrified I'll never have a child. Plus every month which goes by is another month by which we have to push the wedding back (as we've decided to get married 6 months after baby born)so at this rate it will be Feb 2019!

The loss of a baby is terrible enough, but what is also just crap is how far "back" it puts you - it's like 3-4 months

weasledee · 20/09/2017 07:54

Hi filly, welcome to the thread. Sorry for your losses....

Flat I had 2 days of random odd bleeding before period really kicked in, something that never normally happens....

Coastal I got pregnant with my now 4 year old son on the month I "didn't" ovulate according to my clearblue digital monitor!

MogScratch · 20/09/2017 08:40

Flat it could be period even with some hcg left in your body. I think I read that high hcg will stop period but it is not the hcg entirely that stops period but other hormones like projestrone etc also.

Costal you don't necessarily ovulate when peak Opks. Can be day or 2 afterwards. Everyone is different.

Hello but sorry you find yourself here filly. Sounds like you have had a very up down year.

KerryLeanne84 · 20/09/2017 11:04

So sorry for your losses filly ❤️ We tried without waiting for a period but it seems very very common for the first cycle after mc to be anovulatory - even where there's plenty of ewcm / positive opks. It takes a while for your body to work out what's happening.

Psychologically- I do wish I'd perhaps not 'tried' until after at least one period. I'm such a mess emotionally that while getting pregnant again would be great, it would also put my anxiety through the roof.

Flatwhite31 · 20/09/2017 12:13

Think it's AF. Pains are getting increasingly worse. I had heard this could happen. Not easy when you've got 31 kids in a class! Have had to dash home quickly this lunchtime due to a leak. Ugh.

NoCatsHere · 20/09/2017 12:22

halloumi that really is excellent news, and over your due date weekend too. I really hope all goes well for you and it really is third time lucky! Did you do anything differently this month or take extra vits? she says desperately clutching at straws herself!!!

got a static smiley this morning, but both me and OH are not well with crappy coughs. Going to need to be mildly sexy and seduce him despite coughing in his face. We haven't dtd yet this month at all Shock. I'm pretty sure there was friends episode like that where monica had a cold??!

Fillybee · 20/09/2017 12:25

Yes Monica used the vapour rub as her seduction tool. Get your Vicks out!

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 13:48

Just been and bought more sticks even tho it's far too early yet! Still having major HFS (hopeful fker syndrome) and like you coastal, I turn 39 on Friday. (Happy birthday!) I feel time is ticking and you are totally right, it sets you back 3-4 months.

Flat, mine was bang on 4 weeks so 26 days is normal id say. Went for my follow up on 5th July and she told me I was ovulating. DTD but nothing.

Maybe September will be our month ladies!!!

KerryLeanne84 · 20/09/2017 14:06

Happy birthday presh and coastal for this week!

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 14:20

Fk fk fk!!! I've just come home from buying my sticks and went to put them in the drawer. I put the "flooded" one from this morning back in the drawer to dispose of later. I looked at it and there is a faint line! Wtf. Does that mean it's just because it's flooded???

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 14:24

Here is the one from this morning. We only DTD last Wednesday.

TTC after pregnancy loss - lucky thread 13
KerryLeanne84 · 20/09/2017 15:07

I can't see a line presh - and preg tests are not reliable if you look at them again hours later. If you want to check again, I'd take a test with your first urine tomorrow

Fillybee · 20/09/2017 15:28

I can see a faint line but don't know what effect flooding could have had? I think they always say you have to read the result before 10 minutes then discard... also I don't know how you tell the difference between an evap line and a pg line? I'd do another test tomorrow morning or right now

Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 15:34

Going to try and leave it a few more days. Maybe after the weekend or test again on my birthday! What a present that would be.! Be think it may be a) too early or b) it just didn't work. 😳

Flatwhite31 · 20/09/2017 17:37

Omg what an AF. So. Much. Blood. Had to leave class twice this afternoon because of it.

yellowfrontdoor · 20/09/2017 18:16

Congratulations @halloumisandwich that's amazing news.

I found out a friend of my sister's (a mutual friend of ours) is pregnant.
My sister didn't want to tell me in case I was upset.
So I'm that person now. The one her family lie to out of pity Sad
I don't know why but it's made me feel weird.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/09/2017 18:28

Presh - I see it. I'd definitely be testing again in the morning if I were you!!

OP posts:
yellowfrontdoor · 20/09/2017 18:33

@Presh12345 definitely re-test with a FMU.

Eeeeek!!!! Hopefully two BFPs from the thread this week then!!

coastalchick · 20/09/2017 20:09

@nocats - haha - I love that "mildly sexy".

@presh - I hope it is a BFP and happy birthday for friday!

@kerryleanne - thanks for the birthday wishes!

@weasle and @mogscratch - thank you for the advice re OPK's!

@yellow - yes, I hate that too.

So, even though the advice on here made me think, let's have a bash tonight cos maybe we've not missed it, we decided not to. We go away on hols tomorrow for 2 weeks (Sicily). If we DTD then I am going to be constantly thinking "am I pregnant, am I pregnant" and won't eat/drink and be merry just in case. Also, we'd then be doing an early test whilst away and if I wasn't pregnant then I think I'd probably be upset and that could ruin the holiday. And I think what we need right now is to get back to "us" and having fun. We won't achieve that if we had that distraction.

So we are just going to go away and enjoy ourselves to the full. I'm already much overweight compared to what I should be and am having to buy bigger shorts in the morning as mine won't zip up, so am going to come back fatter but going to bloody well enjoy it. We need to get us back on track then try again.
