GOSh that sounds really scary flat- are you feeling okay in yourself?

FrauNeuer · 22/09/2017 01:26

Hello ladies, mind if I join you all?
I'm a recent unhappy graduate from the Pregnant after MC board and am still very much wounded from the experience (again) but still, onwards and upwards, looking forward (if that's the right expression. . .) to trying again once I can put this horrible saga behind me.

Sorry for all of your losses - I've been browsing this thread and although everyone has been through so much, the support is really inspiring. Flowers

Vitals don't make for good reading, but here goes, but trying to stay positive: 33, ttc#1 over 2 years, 2 mcs, on ivf waiting list but hoping to conceive naturally before.

Hope I can offer some support and exchange some tips.

KerryLeanne84 · 22/09/2017 07:00

Welcome Frau! 💙 I'm so sorry for what you've been through

I'm in the same position as you are except I've had one mc. Have you pushed to be referred to a recurrent mc clinic at all?

Flatwhite31 · 22/09/2017 07:09

I'm really really tired this morning @KerryLeanne84, yet still dragging myself into work. At least it's nearly the weekend. What a horrible week this has been .

Welcome @FrauNeuer xxx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/09/2017 07:11

Welcome Frau, so sorry for your losses Flowers

Flatwhite I hope AF has lightened up for you!

I'm on CD11 now and so heading into the fertile days, expecting to ov cd15-17. I've been temping but otherwise not checking anything, will start cervix / cm monitoring and OPKs from tonight.

We DTD twice yesterday - for fun! Which was nice. Off to a wedding this weekend so hope a nice hotel room will be conducive to more.

Sex for fun grumpy- what is that?!😂

Flat - glad you're okay - I know it's tough with school but put yourself first if you feel too rough to be there

Flatwhite31 · 22/09/2017 08:04

We DTD for fun last weekend @TheGrumpySquirrel but I got abdominal pains, so we had to stop! Romantic or what?! Enjoy your weekend in the hotel.

@KerryLeanne84 I changed my mind and have phoned in sick. I realised that when I barely had the energy to brush my teeth, I'd probably be better at home. We have two 11 hour days next week too (parents evenings) so need to feel better for those.

beanhunter · 22/09/2017 08:14

I don't remember what sex for fun is? Frankly I think I my virginity has regrown. Not dtd since I conceived last time (should be 20 weeks).

rachelandthenoodle · 22/09/2017 08:51

Hi ladies...can I join again?...another month, another 2ww..

I'm 7 dpo and poas this morning...because...🤷‍♀️ I clearly have a fascination with peeing on sticks?! Because there's no actual justifiable other reason for testing at 7dpo! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 22/09/2017 09:13

I know this is still negative and faint but honestly compared to what it was last month (And that I'm cd6) I'm pretty happy

@rachelandthenoodle
Welcome to the group again!

I've done similar to you today- I'm 10DPO and did a test this morning as I found a first response test I'd bought a few months ago.

Of course it was BFN but I felt like doing it! Usually I hold out for a late period... but have never really been properly late in 14 months TTC!

Good luck to all testers this weekend!Star

NoCatsHere · 22/09/2017 10:25

Wahooo managed to be mildly sexy and we dtd last night! no idea whether it'll work this month, i know it only takes one sperm, but still my hopes are low this moth. Still, always nice to feel in with a slim chance and the bonus is we are on holiday next month so if i'm not pregnant i can enjoy the holiday (and booze and nice food) and also know that my next fw falls smack bang when we are away which is only a good thing hey! So officially cd 16 and 1dpo. Its my due date next week, but it'll be too early to test anyway...

Weasledee good luck testing this morning with your ic. I never get pregnancy symptoms so fx for you!

turquoise i have promised myself now to only test when af is actually late! But who knows if i can stick to that?! Sorry your text was neg this morning. I find it very hard not to pee on things if they are in the bathroom cupboard.

frau welcome, sorry you're here, i think i remember your name from that board..i was on it briefly back around march, april time...

unicorns hope that line gets stronger and stronger for you!

grumpy twice, in one day?! and for fun! you guys are wild!!!

anne and bertie you've both been quiet, hope you're doing ok xxx

KerryLeanne84 · 22/09/2017 10:48

Good for you flat! Take care of yourself today

Flatwhite31 · 22/09/2017 11:21

There someone on the thread I was on moaning about a cold 'taking the shine' off her holiday. FFS. I was in Italy less than 48 hours after my ERPC, and spent the entire week bleeding out the contents of my womb. Now THAT took the shine off. Comments like that really piss me off when she should be feeling lucky that her pregnancy is going well!

rachelandthenoodle · 22/09/2017 12:06

Oh @Flatwhite31 I'm so sorry. It wasn't me, and I don't know who it was, but I suppose we've all been guilty of losing perspective on here from time to time. I know I've whinged about one miscarriage and only 10 months ttc, while I know perfectly well that there are people on here with much much more to complain about. I guess it's easy to just fall into your own world of pain and anger and frustration and forget that whilst it's shit, there are possibly people out there with worse shit too.

I'm sorry about your Italy trip, whenever that was, and I hope things get better!

Flatwhite31 · 22/09/2017 12:18

Oh @rachelandthenoodle no need to apologise. It wasn't on this thread. It was one I was part of when I thought baby was healthy. I know people mean absolutely nothing by it, but a comment like that dies sting after I spent our holiday crying into menus restaurants, then spending ages in a toilet at a restaurant as I was bleeding heavily because I'd just lost our baby. If I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again, I won't moan about any symptoms. I'll be grateful for them.

swimchick1980 · 22/09/2017 12:56

Hello everyone, glad i found you.

Congratulations halloumi, keeping everything crossed for you. Everyone time i see you're came, i want to eat halloumi.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I'm intrigued by the acupuncture and might give it a shot too. I'm CD27, had some light spotting a couple of days ago, now it's gone and just waiting for AF to hit. I've got a weekend away so will POAS tonight just in case but i know it will be a BFN. I find it so tough to POAS and see a BFN so generally avoid.

In other news, our IVF journey s back on track. I had my assessment this week and DH has his next week so keeping everything crossed for decent initial findings.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

weasledee · 22/09/2017 13:36

Thanks cats, did an internet cheapie this morning (poss 9dpo not sure completely when period started as had extra bleeding?!) and it was negative. Husband has defo bought packet of frer and his way to work. So the big tests are tomorrow and Sunday!

AppalachianWalzing · 22/09/2017 13:44

Hello..... I hope nobody mines me jumping in this month to ask a (possibly ridiculous) question, but.... I'm due to go to a hen do this weekend. It's fairly low key, there won't be much drinking so I'm not worried about that side of it. But on Sunday we're meant to be doing Go Ape- the thing with the zip wires?

I'm cd25, 8 DPO. I miscarried in June and while my periods came back I think this is the first month I've actually ovulated, and I feel confident we're covered for the days around ovulation.

It says on the Go Ape site not to do it when pregnant- I assume so you don't fall and injure yourself. I'm clearly not pregnant, but should I give it a miss anyway? Could it cause any problems at this stage?

I would like to go if I was sure that it wouldn't be a problem, but I don't want to take any chances as I don't think I'm ovulating regularly and I'm pretty sure I actually may have a decent chance this month.

beanhunter · 22/09/2017 13:50

Personally I wouldn't not do go ape, or abstain from drinking. If I avoided everything I would be living in bubble wrap for the past 3 years. But ultimately it's what you feel comfortable doing x

rachelandthenoodle · 22/09/2017 14:06

I agree with @beanhunter ; they are definitely meaning women who are a but further on. Go, enjoy yourself... would be my opinion.

swimchick1980 · 22/09/2017 14:24

Got the results from my assessment. My AMH (egg reserve) has halved in a year Sad. Need to get motoring, so glad DH back on board.

swimchick1980 · 22/09/2017 14:59

I would also Go Ape and have a drink or two (maybe not 100!). It's exactly as you say and covers them if you fall but even if you are in the very early stages, the baby should be fine as will be so tiny. Re alcohol a friend of mine POAS, which was BFN and had a wild weekend and then found out she was pregnant. She was devastated but the doc said not to worry. Enjoy the hen do.

FrauNeuer · 22/09/2017 15:20

Hello ladies and thanks so much for the lovely welcoming messages. Flowers

Just a quick view on acupuncture. After my 1st mc, I had regular acupuncture every cycle and found that it definitely calmed things down and settled my body into a more regular pattern. I'd say go for it.

Anyone had any experience with reiki? I'm going for my first session on Tuesday next week because I've heard that it can really relax you which apparently is vital for ttc. The woman who is doing my treatment also teaches yoga, so I'm going to enquire about that as well. I've heard good things about yoga for ttc, but it's difficult to tell whether there's any worth in all of these things or just people trying to make money!

Kerry on Monday i rang the Tommy's helpline because i had some questions that I didn't feel comfortable asking at the hospital and the midwife I spoke to said that I wouldn't get any kind of investigative treatment until I'd had 3 consecutive mcs but if I could get my doctor to write a letter of support, I could join their trials. Apparently they have access to medicine unavailable on the nhs. When I spoke to my doctor, however, he said that he didn't think there was justifiable reasons for seeking treatment and 2 consecutive mcs is considered clinically 'normal'. Sounds crazy and I really wanted to challenge him but got the impression I'd be banging my head against a wall. . . Angry

KerryLeanne84 · 22/09/2017 17:11

Sounds like an unsympathetic gp frau 😔 I have heard of people being referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic in either Coventry or London after 2 on the NHS if their dr agrees. I hope it was just bad luck though
