Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Maybe that's it @LG93. Or maybe it's just one of those things. If TTC research has taught me anything, it's basically that humans know very little about the human reproductive system!!!

angelazul · 26/01/2018 09:45

Everything crossed for good news today Kwick

coribeth · 26/01/2018 18:01

Any news kwick?

kwick · 27/01/2018 05:58

@Rubberduckies you can be on multiple threads! I am in 3 different ones for TTC and then in a vast array of others for different topics.

@PassTheAfterEights I am so very sorry to hear about your MC Thanks

Hmm I said that the FC said no POAS not that I would actually listen to them!!!!! I started with a FRER on Sunday and got a BFP and then just carried on.... blood test yesterday confirmed it! I am very happy but also quite apprehensive give previous 2 MCs. So one step at a time.

Tried posting a picture of the FRERs but my MN photo posting ability is intermittent so you will just have to make do with a picture of my nephew's puppy.

Hell no, Aunt Flo, you not invited to this JS-ing party! We're polishing our halos whilst dusting off our bedsheets. It's JS'ing Fred 64!
Rubberduckies · 27/01/2018 07:58

Fantastic @kwick !!!! Today you are pregnant :) Is there anything different you're doing/taking given previous mcs? Also I for one am happy with the puppy vs frer decision. Good call!!

I know in theory people are obviously on multiple threads, but I still feel like I'm cheating, how silly is that!?

I think I'm about to start my period again :( spotting with clots this morning on dpo 9. Bit annoyed ov moved but short lp has stayed....

angelazul · 27/01/2018 12:15

Fab news Kwick Grin Gingers crossed that this is your time. Love doggie pic, cuteness overload.

Rubber that is very annoying, how long is your lp usually?

Welcome to the newbies & returning jsers, lsgx.

PassTheAfterEights · 27/01/2018 14:47

Thanks @kwick very kind, much more accepting this end of the week, we were lucky. Fab fab news for you, delighted to read this morning - g tightly x for you xx

Rubberduckies · 27/01/2018 15:48

Ff reckons my average lp is 11. Minimum 8 and max 12. @angelazul it's so annoying!!

LG93 · 27/01/2018 18:14

Yay congratulations @kwick !! Gx it's a sticky bean for you!

Not much going on here. I'm just trying to completely ignore my cycle and only test if I get to 45 days with no AF. Easier said than done though!

coribeth · 27/01/2018 19:35

kwick so pleased for you gx for a sticky one but I have a good feeling!! Grin

Penguina · 27/01/2018 23:35

Congrats @kwick!

I’m pretty sure an egg is on its monthly swim and dh is passed out with a glass of prosecco in hand. Might be out this month!!

coribeth · 28/01/2018 17:37

Feeling absolutely shocking probs should not be in work but someone has to! The thought of anything other than sleeping when I get home is total non starter so not much jsing for me!!

Rubberduckies · 29/01/2018 07:38

Sorry to hear that @coribeth Do remember that if you work yourself to the bone, you're going to make yourself even sicker and be off for longer, which will be no good to anyone. Take care of yourself. Can you do a few hours to make you feel like you're not letting your colleagues down and then leave early?

coribeth · 29/01/2018 07:47

@rubberduckies Wish the NHS worked like that but sadly no I had some long term sickness about three years ago and so have to be really careful about taking time off as I am 'staged' so unless I know I'm putting patients at risk cos I'm infectious I go in my friends hubby was an Ambo driver lost his job over sickness and he had leukemia!

Rubberduckies · 29/01/2018 22:53

:( that's really crappy @coribeth I'm NHS too, just shows how different the various areas and trusts etc are. Our trust and my team are amazing with sickness and long term sickness, including lots of mental health problems, back injuries etc etc. Hope you're feeling a bit better this evening.

kwick · 30/01/2018 04:24

@coribeth I hope you are feeling better. It does not compute to me that the NHS could be unsympathetic to sickness!

coribeth · 30/01/2018 20:15

@kwick I know it sounds crazy but they are really strict about it I'm still bit under the weather banging headache but not as bad so totally getting better! Grin
So got a little bit of news we had decided not to go for ivf as didn't have the funds so had started ball rolling with adoption however whole process is extremely invasive a lot of it wholly unnecessary and was really starting to grate on dp however our circumstances have changed and we have found ourselves in a position to fund ivf so have booked consultation the first available date and time Is exactly the same as our next meeting with social workers so I think that must be a good omen!! Grin

coribeth · 30/01/2018 20:26

So first of a million ivf questions our clinic offers mild ivf which from what I've read (all a bit confusing) is basically less drugs? Does anyone know if this would be suitable if the problem is low motility?

kwick · 31/01/2018 08:10

@coribeth great that you can try IVF!!!
Yep mild usually little or no down regulation and then not so many stimulation drugs. But every clinic is different so make sure you ask.
What FC are you going to?

coribeth · 31/01/2018 08:19

@kwick we are going to the hewitt centre in Liverpool seems to rank quite well!

angelazul · 31/01/2018 17:42

Cori great to hear you're looking into IVF as well. How are you feeling about it?

Rubber that is rather short. Sorry if it sounds patronising, but are you sure that you're def oving?

My pineapple pin finally arrived today, although I'm feeling a bit too scared to wear it now Blush

Hell no, Aunt Flo, you not invited to this JS-ing party! We're polishing our halos whilst dusting off our bedsheets. It's JS'ing Fred 64!
coribeth · 31/01/2018 22:08

@angelazul quite nervous tbh I'm not good with drugs and I had been talking myself into all the positive aspects of adopting and the negative aspects of pregnancy Confused as didn't think we would have this option! Blush

angelazul · 01/02/2018 17:58

@coribeth it's totally natural to be nervous, esp if it wasn't your orig plan. Just think on it as widening you options Grin And the drugs aren't too bad - yeah they're not the most pleasant things, but totally manageable.

LG93 · 02/02/2018 17:44

Evening viroids - hope you're all well. Off to visit DH's 2 cousins and both of their new babies... been putting it off since they were born in nov/early dec but can't avoid it much longer. Can't wait to see them but think I'm going to find it quite difficult- deep breaths and plastered on grins required I think!

Good news about the ivf @coribeth - I hope it works out for you!

Rubberduckies · 06/02/2018 08:16

@angelazul I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating - I get positive opks and then by temp rises. And my progesterone this month was 46 after a month of agnus castus. Hopefully the agnus will keep helping.....
