Hi! This bus is for me then... I have an 18mo DD, currently in cycle 2 of TTC. Fertile window apparently starts today, so let's hope the baby gives us 5 minutes... 😑

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 09:28

Thanks for starting the September thread Lopey. Until af arrives I will keep posting in the August one. 3 days late for af but keep getting bfn so I guess af just late and not pregnant. Welcome Rose

Karpuzkiz · 28/08/2017 09:30

Found you all Grin someone has to get a BFP soon to lift us! Baby dust Star

KashyKash · 28/08/2017 10:44

bananafanana1 · 28/08/2017 11:43

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 11:46

Welcome Banana. Baby dust to you x

roseandtime · 28/08/2017 11:55

How long have you all been trying? I'm still bfing my first, and my cyxkeengths are still all over the place, so I'm just temping and keeping an eye on CM and hoping for the best...

roseandtime · 28/08/2017 11:56

Cycle lengths* ha

Unicorn22 · 28/08/2017 12:47

Hello can I join? I did post a few times on the July thread but then got busy and didn't manage to keep up! Still bf DD at night only and cycles still a little bit erratic in duration... last month had a 31 day cycle and currently on CD31 today but bfn for me!

roseandtime have been trying for about 2 months but I am sure all our timings are wrong!

LopeyLopez · 28/08/2017 14:11

Welcome all Smile

Nice to see some old faces and newbies too.

I've been trying seven months now.... not sure what's wrong (other than my age: 37). Cycles are all fine and our timing has been perfect every month ☹️ looking into checking all is ok with gp soon.

Thanks for starting a new thread Lopey it's good to have a fresh start.

SquashyMummy · 28/08/2017 14:14

I'm 1dpo today and trying not to get too carried away day dreaming. This is the second month I've used OPKs and the first month that we've managed a decent numbers of attempts during fw (think our timing was off initially.) Really hoping this is our month. If I don't catch this month, I'm going to start negotiating to go part time at work, as what's really getting to me is I'm away for more time at home with DS.

Hope it's a lucky month for us all!

SquashyMummy · 28/08/2017 14:15

*im waiting

SquashyMummy · 28/08/2017 14:16

Ps fingers crossed you won't need this thread nubian

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 14:35

Thanks Squashy. If I'm not pregnant this cycle I intend to use clear blue digital opks. I've been using Internet cheapies and wondering if it is effective. I do feel like I may have gotten ovulation wrong this month arg.

SquashyMummy · 28/08/2017 14:39

I'm using the digital clue blue ones nubian (the static smiley face ones not flashing.) I think they're worth the investment.
Fingers crossed you won't need them.

KashyKash · 28/08/2017 14:54

I've been using the flashy face clear blue ones and I think I'm going to stop them next month and go back to the non flashing ones. I think I may have missed my peak surge somehow this weekend and I've just read online that once you get a flashy face, it will automatically keep giving you one until you hit the peak and get the static face. So I'm getting a flashy face even though when I eject the strip there is barely a second line at all. My bbt rose this morning so I think I've ovulated already. What a waste of money, I've used loads of them waiting for a peak that I've missed!

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 15:11

So should I use the static smile one rather then flashy smile one? They are a bit pricey so want to be sure I get one that will be most useful.

LopeyLopez · 28/08/2017 15:41

@rose and unicorn, I was bf until a month ago when DS was 22 months, although to be fair the feeds had got so short and so few and far between he probably only latched on two or three times in the whole of July! I don't think such a low level of bfing would have affected things for me, especially as my cycles were all ok and I was clearly ovulating.

I think if you are bf a lot then prolactin levels can hinder your fertility....but I also know people who have got pregnant easily whilst breastfeeding. I guess like many things it is very individual.

I haven't actually used any contraception since March 2014!! Shock But in that time I have only been pregnant once, and only had one baby....!

Nubian I personally have found the clear blue digital much more reliable than the advanced flashy face ones. I've never had a problem getting a reading on the digital ones but the advanced ones I've found really temperamental. I've had a lot of sticks that just don't give a reading at all which is a waste of money. I did manage to get two days of flashy faces and a static face last month but no static face this month. It might just be me though and you'd have no problems. I feel like I've been ranting on about opks all day, sorry!

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 17:40

Thanks Kashy. I won't get the advanced ones then

Boomerang456 · 28/08/2017 18:02

Hi, I'd like to join too. Currently in the two week wait and struggling to keep my mind on anything else!
Been trying about 4 months but not sure we've consistently managed to get our timings right.
Hoping this month will be it! Good luck all Smile

Penny31 · 28/08/2017 19:44

Hi! Can I join please? Had a tricky month last month and we weren't officially trying. AF has just finished so let the fun commence! Due to test around 15th Sep.

Good luck!

Cupcakesandlove · 28/08/2017 20:02

Hi,

Place marking from August.
26 TTC #2 DD is 21 months old.
Cycle 2
AF due 22.09

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 20:25

Hello. I'll possibly join.

TTC #2, after 1 DC and a miscarriage.

I've currently got a strange situation where I'm getting positive tests (faintly) but I'm bleeding red. I'm thinking this is a chemical but still hopeful as my lines are darkening. If I'm correct I'll be joining you.

Good luck!
