come on then.
moan away.
ill start. i m just so fucking fucked off. lost one last year at 44....i thought its a miracle!! wasnt to be but filled me with what appears to be false hope.

been trying ever since. and no. every month the same. this month as well as AF ive another surprise - a cyst. where no one ever ever wants one.
so this month will be lost. along with all dignity as i beg the hospital to lance it.

moan away. go on. you know you want to.

fia i hope you feel better for the moan love -

and topcat - i hear you. i think it was better when i discretely knew when to dtd and didnt tell.....now i wave a static smiley face at him and demand he impregnates me Smile

hes game for now.

ive truly depressed myself by reading the stats.
then i read the guardian piece by the woman pg at 47.

im still convinced enough that it could happen . maybe i need to give my head a wobble.

@topcat...would be interested in a blokes perspective. I know everyone is different but would u prefer to have the a static smiley waves at you as it were or prefer not to know? I worry that I put my DH under too much pressure sometimes. I'm lucky that I don't think it's got to being a chore yet but I can see where your coming from. The one month I decided maybe best I didn't tell him when window was he was like oh isn't it time soon?! Haha. I think maybe sometimes we forget that men don't always just want it on tap just like women! Hard work this TTC lark!!

stillvicarinatutu · 20/08/2017 18:24

luckily for me, we are still in the honey moon period. (3 years and counting.!!) ..but we do still make it lots of fun and not just to get pg if that makes sense? it isnt mechanical. but we are pretty free in that we dont haave other kids in the house and we work the same hours. (and guess it helps i fancy the arse off him ! )

I started trying in January and we have a family wedding in September. I stupidly thought I would potentially be about 3 months gone by then. My stupid fucking cycles have been 34, 41, 59 and 26 days so I'm probably not even ovulating. I know the pill can take a while to wear off but the idea of going to the Dr just fills me with dread tbh. I don't know how long to wait :(

juneybean · 20/08/2017 18:57

FIA I suspect I'm having an anovulatory cycle which is irritating. But will see what my temp does tomorrow...

stillvicarinatutu · 20/08/2017 19:21

and this is why i dont temp! id rather have the hope.

pngirl
take courage in both hands and go to the gp.....

PNGirl · 20/08/2017 19:29

Most people say it's normal and expected to take up to a year though, so I fully expect to be told to come back in 4 months!

Mrsjones17 · 20/08/2017 19:47

@pngirl depends how much u want it investigating I guess. U could always tell the doctor you have been trying longer. How would they know?

PNGirl · 20/08/2017 21:28

My last pill appt for 12 months supply was at the end of November so I think I'd have a job on!

Fia256 · 20/08/2017 21:37

@juneybean it's very irritating isn't it! Every morning I wake up and think, this is the day, my temp will be up and all will be well with the world. But no. Same bloody temp every morning!! Here's to tomorrow morning for both of us!

Schnapps00 · 20/08/2017 22:30

PNGirl, I had the same as you - v irregular cycles up to about 8 cycles after coming off pill, I went to GP & had standard blood tests no problem to check if FSH/progesterone levels were normal, so you should be able to do the same. Prog said pretty much nothing as day 21 timing worked out completely wrong due long cycle ironically Hmm

Mrsjones17 · 20/08/2017 22:34

@pngirl ah ok. Yes I would have a job on! U could always go and explain. Like @schnapps said they might do blood tests to check ur at least ovulating. I'm on cycle 9 so not a year yet but had 21 day bloods done this month

Sharl2017 · 22/08/2017 07:49

Please tell me if IBU but why do people do the 'am I pregnant' posts? We all symptom spot and drive ourselves insane during the 2ww but why post it and make a whole new thread when you know full well the only response you'll get is to POAS. Hmm

juneybean · 22/08/2017 11:27

Ohhh I saw that sharl and was thinking I wish I could get to ages past AF due and be wondering if I was pregnant! Just do a fucking test!

Mrsjones17 · 22/08/2017 11:29

I'm feeling irratable today. Feel like we haven't DTD enough but too late now. Anyone else ever feel like they haven't done enough?!

juneybean · 22/08/2017 11:36

Every month mrsjones :( our donor can only visit two nights a month so I just hope and pray that I've timed it well.

This is his 5th month of helping and he brought up the idea that we might be incompatible and I had a little google and it does comes as a thing but not sure how studied it is.

Mrsjones17 · 22/08/2017 12:27

Ah @juneybean that is shitty. Is compatibility a thing?!

I keep looking back at the calender on ovia thinking ah we should have done it then...stupid really because there's not a lot I can do about it now

juneybean · 22/08/2017 12:30

I honestly don't know, apparently eggs can reject sperm if they don't fancy them haha

Mrsjones17 · 22/08/2017 12:47

@juneybean. Bloody hell as if there isn't enough to contend with without the eggs being bloody picky!!

Mrsjones17 · 22/08/2017 12:48

@bloomingimpatient keen to know how you're getting on with the "bean bag of luurrve" 😂

juneybean · 22/08/2017 15:28

I know right - I can well do without that! I'm hoping it's just taking a bit of time... it's only been 5 months with him, so fingers crossed!

Sharl2017 · 22/08/2017 20:37

Haha juney I'm pleased you know what I'm on about!!

Yes Mrsjones every single time. I've already counted myself out for this month and my 2ww has only just begun!

Summer1986 · 22/08/2017 21:52

I'm with you there, tww started today and already thinking about af arriving and what I can do differently next cycle. Have got a GP appointment pre-booked for what will be CD1 to discuss a few things so will be asking her to start the testing process if this isn't our month

stillvicarinatutu · 23/08/2017 05:39

ive realised the reality. i googled the stats. i really do hope you all get what you want but ive realised i think its futile for me to continue this. it does not happen at 45 just cos you want it, it happened at 44 and went wrong - the stats are truly quite shit! i need to get my head around this and stop wishing. its really silly. its making me put life on hold for nothing. i need to work on enjoying what i have. im done i think.
best of luck to everyone who wants to continue to moan! i cant. im 45! i need to quit moaning now and learn to integrate what i have. nite all xxx
