Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Hi everyone.
Welcome to everyone who's just joined - I've found this group really helpful.
Sending hugs and good luck to everyone waiting for scans & bfps.
Cd18 for me and STILL flashing smiley on my clear blue (although I had a distaster and ran out of sticks on Sunday but assuming that was probably a flashy one as I've had two since) my cycles are around 29 days long so looks like I'm going to ovulate too late for conceiving this month. I think my cycles must still be regulating since giving birth - I've ovulated cd16 first month tracking when I wanted to make sure I was ovulating and then had my solid smiley on cd17 last month. When I tracked before getting pregnant with my little girl I ovulated around cd13 so clearly not back on track yet which is pretty crap! Also clear blue opks are costing me an absolute fortune. It was my 8th flashing smiley this morning and I honestly feel like chucking it out the window - who knew ttc could lead to such an irrational hatred of smiley faces. Having a look on amazon for thermometers, does anyone have any recommendations? X

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/08/2017 14:44

I got this one SJ www.amazon.co.uk/Basal-Body-Thermometer-BBT-113-iProv%C3%A8n/dp/B015WKODDM/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501594832&sr=8-4&keywords=thermometer+bbt&tag=mumsnetforum-21 and it's dead simple to use. Small, nice little plastic case, quiet beeps, memory function, does 2 decimal places.

I was 100% sure I always ovulated CD10, from copious ewcm, bloating and ovary stabbing pain. 100%. And I was vindicated in my first month of temping, until I actually ovulated CD14! I had dotted crosshairs on FF on CD10 and then a solid one CD14. Massive shock. Temp continued to rise till the day af arrived.

Do you get CM cues throughout your cycle? I monitor that and cervix position as second nature these days. And last cycle ewcm and stabbing pains had continued but I'd always assumed they carried on after ov, not began days before.

NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 16:00

Oh god i just googled when my baby would be due based on if i was to get pregnant this cycle. its a slippery slope to crazy lady in the 2ww isn't it!!! Blush

Lime19 · 01/08/2017 16:25

NoCats, that is crazy and I would never do anything that crazy (she says as she shuts down the window with the NHS due date calculator, which is also saved in her favourites) Blush

INeedABiggerBoat · 01/08/2017 16:33

Well I had the scan - and saw a tiny little sac! I'm officially 5 weeks! I've got a small bleed apparently so have to be very careful (and no DTD until we're more 'in the clear'...). Was not expecting this at all. Need to go back in 2 weeks to check it's growing. So Smurf and MsJuniper sounds like I'm joining your 'trying-not-to-be-anxious-about-scans' group if that's okay.

I'm sure it's been mentioned in other threads already but I do wonder whether me taking lots of Agnus Castus in weeks post MC, since I MC due to low progesterone. Don't know if it helped and obviously I'm very far from being out of the woods yet, but maybe it helped with my fertility???

Lots of luck and fingers crossed for everyone trying. Lime can I just applaud your restraint in the face of your colleague's comment? I would have struggled not to a. lamp him and/or b. burst into tears.

BertieBotts · 01/08/2017 16:45

Yes I have a blog for parenting/ttc stuff but I try to keep it more in depth and we'll written rather than my personal rambling so there aren't very many posts and I don't update very often. Am on phone now but will send a link alter.

Oooh boat! I'm so happy for you! Fingers crossed.

That's the annoying thing about ff; it tells you your due date 3 days after you've ovulated. and I didn't google another due date calculator to cross check, no not at all

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 16:58

@Ekphrasis really? Where do I see this on FF?

@AnneLovesGilbert yep I get soft open cervix and EWCM a few days before ov every cycle

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 17:00

@INeedABiggerBoat congratulations ♥️ hope it's a sticky one

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 17:12

Well DH and I both left work early today to have another go at conceiving Grin

SJ88 · 01/08/2017 17:28

@AnneLovesGilbert thanks, the thermometer looks good. Think I might get one for my next cycle. I do track ewcm - just got some (tmi) and I'm having a bit of cramping but still no solid face (I may or may not have held my pee for 6 hours and tried again Blush)
@INeedABiggerBoat congrats on the BFP! Great news. Hopefully you're taking it easy now :)
@NoCatsHere haha I am also due date crazy, I spent an afternoon once typing in my Ovia predicted period dates into a due date calculator to see what they came up as! Lol

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 17:42

Grumpy I paid in a moment of ttc craziness, it's under 'pregnancy monitor'. Wish I hadn't bothered!

I do think after a few months of temping and watching ewcm I did get to grips much better with my cycle which has helped ttc. The obsession is not useful though!

I do do this annoying but fascinating thing where I compare my charts. When I did get pregnant I was fairly good at the basic recording so it's handy to refer to.

I get a dpo 4 day temp dip each month which is strange. I get very tired that day too.

The ff forums are a nightmare; can't work out how to navigate at all.

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 17:43

By the way, taking eve primrose (up to ovulation) definitely gives me a lot more ewcm. I also get some after I ovulate weirdly too.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 18:05

My OPK - just now - is still really positive. That's almost 24 hours of surge now. Does that mean I'll ovulate tomorrow you think?

NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 18:12

Thankyou lime and others for also doing these things. Today in my internet history it would also say how early can you take a pregnancy test. That's the trouble with working from home, no distractions. Thank goodness I have a separate computer to DH otherwise search history would be embarrassing. It was awkward enough last night when DH logged into my Amazon account to check the order of something and in history of orders it was basically hundreds of orders to things to pee on. Not quite the casual baby making wife I'd claimed to be... Blush

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 18:23

I don't know grumpy, the same happened for me this month.

I looked at graphics like this to try to work it out!

TTC After MC 12: Hopeful Twats and Emotional Wrecks welcome!
NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 18:31

boat congrats! So glad your scan was happy news. Let us know how you get on in 2 weeks time.
grumpy no idea, when it's like that on an ic and I don't get a super clear line sometimes I crack open a clearblue to confirm ov

MulderitsmeX · 01/08/2017 18:42

Oh guys Sad im back here, currently bleeding at 5+3 weeks and just know this one's gone too. I get pregnant very time I try but then lose it every time too.

Lime19 · 01/08/2017 18:53

Oh mulder. I'm sorry to see you back (in the kindest way possible). Is there any chance? What will you do next? Epu?

It's shit. I'm so sorry.

MulderitsmeX · 01/08/2017 19:00

Thanks lime i was holding off joining the pregnancy threads so as not to jinx it!
I might try and see if I can go to the Epu ar st mary's tommorrow to check if it is eptopic

I kind of think i must have the over friendly uterus problem which is a bit shit as it's not really possible to treat. Blegh feel like im nevee going to get a baby.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 19:14

So sorry mulder 💔

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 19:15

@NoCatsHere @Ekphrasis it's pretty clear. Below is last night, middle is this morning and bottom is just now - the most positive one yet! Counting tomorrow as ov day I think. Will do another in the morning

TTC After MC 12: Hopeful Twats and Emotional Wrecks welcome!
BertieBotts · 01/08/2017 19:16

Oh no mulder, I'm so sorry. How many mc is that now? Will they look into causes? The friendly uterus thing is really just a theory in its infancy, and many causes of miscarriage are treatable, so don't give up hope!

Starshine1 · 01/08/2017 19:27

Hi all, sorry haven't caught up on many of the threads. Congrats to those of you ladies with positive results! Wonderful news.

I have found out I have a low ovarian reserve, so all a bit pessistic at the moment and actually thinking we are just going to give up. Just wanted to say goodluck to you all, I hope you all have those sticky BFPS soon and then those lovely babies.

Also it's taken two years of ttc and reoccurrent miscarriages for this diagnosis and it was my accupunturist who encouraged me to check my AMH. I guess if anyone else has had reoccurrent mc and you don't know what your ovarian reserve is, I would recommend getting it checked out- better to know and be assured it is ok, rather than wonder. If you're falling pregnant they assume your reserve is ok, but clearly that's not always the case- st Mary's rmc didn't even check for this. Good luck to you all xx

Starshine1 · 01/08/2017 19:28

So sorry mulder to hear your news- big hugs x
