Immune/NK issues - aka Pred Thread no.20!

Hi all, thought I'd get the ball rolling on the new thread.

Welcome all with immune/natural killer cell issues.

It's been a while since a new thread so thought it might be helpful if we all added our stats:

I'm harriet, age 30, TTC#1.
3 mcs (2 at 5 weeks, 1 mmc at 9 weeks).
Hypothyroid and high NK cells.
Cycle 2 on pred!

Morning all, thanks for the anniversary wishes - we had a lovely day.

I agree with seeking on age gaps - they've all got pros and cons. I'll take what I can get! Short gaps are definitely the norm where I work as people tend to leave children quite late then try to squeeze them in quickly. No one would judge a 17 month gap!

just I'm 8+4 today, just a little behind drttc. My NHS scan was meant to be on weds and Mr S +intralipids on Friday, but he's had to move me to Weds now so I'm going to push NHS again to next week. My last scan was 6+4 and I'm starting to feel really really nervous about it. At least not long to wait.

a quick check in!

i had a scan on friday last week at 35+2, all seemed to be ok, and baby was head down and back to front - midwife scanning me said he's already to go - i said i hope not as I have 2 weeks left at work and a elective c-section!! I got a date too for my c-section which has made it feel a lot more real!

Annoyingly i'm not having much movement at the moment so i'm trying to keep an eye on that but i think it is in part to the baby facing inwards so it is less obvious!

Drttc- great news on the scan. I too will have 20 months between my two. I've not actually had too many comments about it. Some people have been 'you'll have your hands full' but most people have actually said at least i'll have the 'baby phase' over as quick as possible. One of my friends has the same age gap and she has just got to the point where they are out of nappies and don't need to take a buggy or anything out with them. She said that because they were used to getting disturbed sleep etc when no 2 arrived it didn't seem so bad. Like you say though, there is no ideal gap - you just get on with whatever the age gap is!

Feeling SO much better today, the Pred depression/anxiety has lifted, my swollen throat is improving and headache is fading!

I can't believe how awful the steroids have made me feel the last 5 days!

Plus, AF just came to town a day early, so feel the rush of the new cycle, new hope and possible September 👶🏼

Oh wow Harriet, so this will be basically your 9 week scan on Weds! That's a great check point. I know you must be so nervous but the odds are in your favour. Only a couple of days to deal with the scanxiety!

Sunny, you're so close now! Was NK cells your only problem previously?
How exciting, I hope you manage to hold on until your C-section 😊

Luna, glad you're feeling better! Sorry pred is affecting you so badly, hopefully your body will be more prepared for it next month 🤞🏻AF is behaving though which is great!

Just, my next fertile window is late Sept/early Oct and DP and are on hols together so fingers crossed.
