High ovarian reserve and progesterone, underlying endocrine condition with slightly increased MC risk. On Pred full time since March to help next pregnancy, trying again since April but missed a couple of windows due to DP being out of town for work!

Fingers crossed for September.

harrietm87 · 05/09/2017 11:20

Where's our moony luna? @LunaB hope you find us!

How is everyone doing? I've started to feel really quite nauseous (finally breaking through the pred!) which I'm taking as a good sign though still bricking it about scan tomorrow.

Also wondering how amy is doing on Mr S's controversial advice. Well I hope.

LunaB · 05/09/2017 12:07

HELLO beauties! Found you! Thanks @harrietm87 ! 💓

I've literally screen shotted all your updates for my records! So many of you have progressed so much from the start of the last thread! ☺️

Age 35
3 MC (1 natural @ 7w, then DS born naturally, then 1mmc @ 9w (ERPC), then a natural @ 5w)
Cycle 2 of Pred for Dr S Complex NK Cells (regular amount of cells, but aggressive baby eating bastards)

Have fully swapped real friends for this group 😂 Love ya, bearded fat moon wobblers 🦁🐷🌝💃

LunaB · 05/09/2017 12:09

Soz you're feeling rough Harriet, but also glad ☺️

Yes I wonder how our Amy the Aussie is doing!?

JustLa · 05/09/2017 14:41

I was waiting for Luna and Amy too! Glad you found us Luna.

Just looking through everyone's history and journeys so far... it's incredible- and you are all amazingly tough women! (Am I the over emo one of the group?!) So glad we found each other anyway 💕

Oh bummer Harriet, is it weird that I quite enjoy the nausea as part of a 'normal' pregnancy?
Small but often eating, salt and vinegar crisps and especially sparkling water really works for me.

2 more days of Pred and it's just Cyclogest, Heparin, Aspirin and the other vitamins to take. Trying to eat healthily so I decided baking a massive chocolate cake was a great idea- Thanks for that 'Great British Bake Off' 😬🍰

Xx

LunaB · 05/09/2017 14:55

Wow just! It's almost over!! How long do you take the progesterone for? I bet you can't wait to be done with the Heparin - but a little longer to go on that one!!!

Tee4me · 05/09/2017 16:30

Ah wow Just! How exciting. I know what you mean about enjoying the nausea in a weird way. I loved having some symptoms with my 2nd bfp in 2016. I would take any symptom under the sun right now if it meant a healthy bubba.
So I'm CD11 and opk is snowy white. Usually get my raging peak on CD12, so definitely looking like I might be in for an unusual wait for the egg this cycle, I usually have very visible lines by now. I know someone on here warned about Pred interfering with ov.
Take & Soph, did either of you ovulate later this month compared to last?

OP posts:
SophS88 · 05/09/2017 16:42

Hi Tee, so far it hasn't effected my ovulation days. The longest was cd13 but that was after my last mc and then the three in between have been around cd 11/12. My strong positive OPK's have been lasting a good day even 2 days though- before it was a very short surge. So I've started temping too to try and help pin point it. Hope yours doesn't keep you waiting much longer 😘

Amy2017 · 05/09/2017 16:44

Hi folks! Found ya!

I'm Amy, 36 and I've had 2 MC over the past 11 months. BUT! I'm 5 weeks pregnant today. Crossing EVERYthing. Fingers, legs, eyes :)

I'm heterozygous for prothrombin gene mutation, so I'm taking daily Fragmin 5000 for sticky bloods. I had been advised to go on Mr S complex plan, but got pregnant in the mean time so to my surprise, he's paused it as I hadn't taken the pred since ovulation.

Thanks ladies for asking after me Harriet and Luna! I felt a bit of a intruder posting when I'm not currently suffering a moonface alongside you, but so nice to keep up with your news.

I've been on a rollercoaster with my treatment and emotions, as you all know! Aside from last weekend in a Champneys spa, that was wonderful ;).

I've been bravely jabbing these daily Fragmin injections (I usually HATE needles) and man do they bruise you and burn afterwards. Was it you Just that told me that would happen!? You're so right.

I'm still terrified I'm going to lose this one. This morning I did another preg test - the digital one with the weeks indicator. It flashed a bit and told me I was 3+. WTF!? 3+!? I was supposed to be 5 weeks today! Tears started to flow, certain this was an indication my bean is not developing properly. Then I read the test properly: it only indicates weeks past ovulation, and that was the highest you can get, bang on schedule. PHEW.

I have my first scan with NHS next Wednesday, at which point I'll be 6+1, then with Mr S on Thurs. There's literally nothing I can do but wait, and try to relax.

I'm supplementing the treatment with 2 week visits to my Naturopath (who also does a creepy, awesome thing called BodyTalk to me) and my acupuncturist. Throwing in some yoga, walks etc. too. I'm trying to keep negative thoughts at bay is tough when you've been through what we've been through.

I'm trying to harness the power of The Secret, Poppy!

Big love to you all. And welcome newbies! You've come to an awesome place xx

Amy2017 · 05/09/2017 16:49

And Just! Amazing that you're nearing the end of the pred. Must feel great :) X

LunaB · 05/09/2017 18:42

Amy, we are all moonfaces in spirit my dear - including you and Drttc who are both Pred free :)) Glad you are doing so well at being healthy in mind, body & soul - can't wait for your scan poppet 💓

I'm concerned re late ovu too Tee... I'll start testing on Sunday and am curious to see if Pred had interfered with me 😩 I might start temping if I think I'm loosing the plot

Seekingmiracles · 05/09/2017 18:48

Sorry your feeling rough Harriet, hopefully it's just a random wave and won't last too long!! Scan tomorrow isn't it??

Just... YAY to being off pred!! You'll no longer be in the moon face gang!! You'll have a skinny face again in no time!!

Amy glad you're feeling positive! Sounds like you're doing all the right things!! And it's great that the test is progressing through the stages. Fingers crossed for next Wednesdays!

I'm officially now weaning off pred so hopefully no more fat face in a few weeks!! Yay!! Already sick of the bruises of the injections but hey ho... if it gives me my healthy baby!! I'm off on holiday in a few weeks, I'm going to look like DH has been beating me!! Lol!!

JustLa · 05/09/2017 19:23

Amy, you're a moon face and a wobbler! We don't discriminate here! You've been through the shit, like all of us so we have a special common understanding. It does feel nice to be taking one less drug fo-sho!
With the Fragmin, I've found pinching and inch for 5 or more seconds helps with needle, but running up and down stairs with affected leg leading each step works a treat! I feel it disperses the burning quicker 👍🏻 I also look for blue capillaries and avoid those. Good luck for weds, and also good to remember a HB doesn't always show at 6 weeks so try not to 'wobble' if you don't see one. Great news on the home test result!

Luna, I think progesterone is until 16 weeks but think I will take until pack is finished.... just to be safe, Lol. Fragmin is until 6 weeks after birth! Ouchy. I think your ovulation will be perfect this month, and you can 'force boink' your heart out ❤️

Soph, hope the temping works for you this month!
You too Tee, hope you get the flashy face in next few days 🤞🏻I feel same about symptoms, love them (although some of the pull/tug feelings in abdomen and cervix freak me out lol)

Seeking, I have a double chin... with a blonde beard. I basically look like one of the Hairy bikers or Santa, haha. All worth it though so not complaining 😂
Mum asked me to go swimming, I said no way, people will stare! Joked with hubby about featuring on naked attraction right now as screen goes up... they would see burnt calves from turning trousers up and avoiding sunscreen parabens followed by bruised covered thighs, then big bloated belly, then acne chest and face- winning!!
Again, totally not complaining 😊

Big love to my mooners and shakers

Xx

PoppyJ1 · 05/09/2017 19:24

Amy, well done. I'm going to dig out the book again and try to get my mind properly on board for next month!

Has anyone noticed their hair (on the head) grows more with Pred? I'm getting loads of new growth all over, including my cows lick and just behind the sideburns. It's good cos it's making my hair thicker!

I haven't noticed that Poppy but I'd say it's probably happening considering all the other extra hair I'm cultivating. You're thinking positively already with the hair thing, go you!
X

PoppyJ1 · 05/09/2017 20:15

Just, just realised it could be the prenatal vitamins!

Amy2017 · 05/09/2017 21:02

Poppy Secret high fives. Next month's your month. I've been secretly projecting twins - not sure if I'll live to regret it ;)

Seeking big positive vibes to you too! So wonderful that it's time for you to wean off the pred! That's gone fast.

Just I was walking around a health spa sporting 4 excellent bruises. I recommend it. Shoulda seen my don't give a fuck face ;)

Harriet scan is going to be fine! You'll see. I know how hard the wait can be though :/

Soph and others - I did temping for the first time last cycle when I got preg. It's magical really, definitely gave me great info as I find the pee sticks don't work so well for me.

Felt so gawd dang nauseous this eve before dinner. I haven't had that with my 2 previous MCs, so hoping it's a good sign 🤞

Signed, an honorary moonfacer and definite wobbler x
