Big congratulations MrsMcJnr. Brilliant news

My temp was slightly up again this morning. FF now thinks I OV'd on Tuesday so that makes me 3dpo. I saw my GP yesterday who was very sympathetic. He seemed to think that my extended spotting after af was probably hormonal. He said that it is common for cycles to change after a miscarriage - it is sometimes temporary and sometimes permenent. He didn't really know if it would affect my ability to conceive. But if things are no better after another 2-3 cycles then they will start doing tests to look at the hormone levels. It is just a relief to be taken seriously.

Anyway I think I have OV'd this month so I'm ditching that thermometer for a bit.

Sorry that you are down Mum03. I know how you feel about your Mum. My parents were so excited when I told them I was pregnant (would be 1st grandchild). I also told them that I conceived quickly (it was the 2nd cycle of properly trying). So now I can't get it out of my head that everytime I call them they will be expecting happy news.

Thank you all for your wonderful support, it really helps. I am not due to ov for another few days yet, but my dh has been fantastic, we have been getting into practice early this month...(sorry tmi!) with most incredible sex/love-making possible. I think he has been detecting how low I have been feeling. But I am now determined to pick myself up and get into positive mood for my mum and dad arriving next week I haven't seen them since last July, so it will be great to have them here. I will determine to forget about ttc while they are around, so please excuse if I disappear for a couple of days. Thank you all again for being so supportive.

MrsMc - are you coming out of shock into excitement yet?

RahRah1 · 11/05/2007 08:52

Morning all.... I have liberated myself today and not temp'd... but I found it hard to resist.

I will catch up with everyone in a bit...

MUM03 - Good on you for the good love making talk about turning things into a positive! Sex is a major thing that normally suffers, so good to know you are on the job

MrsMc - how are you today.... still grinning I expect!

RahRah1 · 11/05/2007 08:53

LOL - Can't believe I missed Ready out... How shameful of me I get down on my bended knees and beg forgiveness......

MrsMcJnr · 11/05/2007 12:43

Didn?t temp today ? needed a wee in early hours and forgot as so wanted to stay sleeping ? I was at a fashion show with clients until late last night and was exhausted. Tomorrow, maybe ? the idea does stress me out a bit though ? TCOYF software told me to contact Dr immediately if temps fall below 36.25 as that would mean I might MC. Not something I want to even consider at the mo.

Duchesse ? how are things? And you too Seaside?

Mum03 ? DH happy but cautious me too I guess though did look up my EDD sorry you are feeling down My BF is due to pop any day and I was wondering how I?d find that too. Family pressure is a horrible thing, they mean well and want us to be happy but it just makes it worse Why don?t you write to your Mum in advance of the visit and tell her how you feel? I hope it happens for you really soon

Thanks RahRah Its hard to not feel bad that it has happened for me again and not for you and the others who I feel are so more deserving than I am. I just hope and pray your time comes soon. I did start taking the aspirin (hard coated EC cardio stuff not usual aspirin ? Uki advised me) I started taking it on cd19 actually. I don?t know if it made/will make any difference but I?ve read so often that it is more likely to help than harm but I can ask the Consultant about that on Monday I guess. Thank you for wanting me to stay here! How are you feeling? My Mum got her test results yesterday but they only said she didn?t have Factor V Leiden (which my Aunt doesn?t have either) didn?t say anything about my particular mutation so am concerned that she wasn?t specific enough and that they haven?t tested her for that. She won?t stop taking the HRT until she is told she is at risk rather than the sensible VV

Thanks Jess glad the Dr was sympathetic and that you have a course of action to follow. I really hope things settle down for you.

Hello to Ready, Nappy, Minxi and the rest of the gang!

beansprout · 11/05/2007 13:17

Woo-hoooo!! Congratulations Mrs McJnr that is such brilliant news!! Am so pleased for you!!

Not much to report here, except dh seems to have gone to work with my keys so we are stuck in the house all day. I can't even contact him as his phone is switched off

Can I just ask - once you have ov, how long does it take for your temp to go up? TIA

MrsMcJnr · 11/05/2007 16:54

Beansprout ? thanks, it must be so hard for you and I know it was heartfelt ? sending you a huge hug (a lucky one)

duchesse · 11/05/2007 18:29

Temps still high here (36.8), although lower in the mornings (36.3). This is unusual, as they tend to be pretty much the same, give or take .1 of a degree. Still no period. Ho hum.

jess1996 · 12/05/2007 11:51

Good morning all. I didn't temp today (the thermometer has been put away for the next couple of weeks).

I don't know what's the matter with me this morning. I'm feeling down and despondent already and I'm only 4dpo. I think the problem is that earlier this week I became convinced that this month would be the one. I even told DH this. Now I just feel silly! I'm not sure I can cope with 10 days of symptom spotting and then a couple of days of rushing to the loo every 10 mins to check for AF. I'm already symptom spotting even though I know there shouldn't be symptoms to spot at 4dpo. I must be going mad.

Anyway, enough about me. How is everyone else? It's very quiet on here this morning.

duchesse Will you be testing soon?

beansprout I was wondering the same thing about OV and temps. I thought that you OV'd on the last day you had ewcm. I've had no ewcm since Monday morning, but my temp did not rise until Wednesday morning. I am guessing that I OVd sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

MrsMcJnr Indulge me. What were the earliest you had symptoms this month.

rahrah Looks like we're on the 2ww together.

mum03 Sounds like you're feeling a bit better. Do your parents live along way from you? My parents live about 300 miles from me, so I don't see them that often either.

Hello to everyone else.

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/05/2007 12:42

jess and beansprout - when i was temping my temp didnt go up till day 34 so i assumed i had ov'd on day 33. but the last time we had sex was day 28 and that is the month i got pg. fettle told me ( and she is one smart cookie!) that apparently you can ov up to 36 hours before your temp goes up. hope that helps! prob not!!!

fettleandminifettle · 12/05/2007 19:08

Greedy, I've taught you well. You are correct

Hugs to all.

jess1996 · 12/05/2007 19:47

So maybe I did OV on Monday night, which would make me 5dpo.

I've had some mild af-like cramps today. Implantation? I wish!

Morning. Temp has gone up so have told dh he is no longer on active service . Still not sure when I ovulated though - should I assume yesterday or Friday? Sorry to be so dense.
Am feeling optimistic about this month, so we shall see.

How is everyone? Seaside? Duchesse?
Hope you are ok too Mrs McJ, I know these are anxious times
Jess - I know exactly what you mean. This is the 2ww madness, it's not dignified and it doesn't do much for our self-esteem but it comes to us all. Hope you are ok.

Dh has awarded himself a lie-in

Hi all -have erratic and slow internet connection but it is there so will be brief!

Firstly Congrats MrsMcJnr - I was thinking about you loads Thurs/Fri and the first thing I did when we got here late last night late was try and get onine to see the news - I just knew it would be a BFP So happy for you Stay calm and positive

I am having a fantastic time - weather is awesome today (we are up in the Hebrides!!) no AF yet but think it is on its way just being cruely late - could have been scared into hiding due to the fact that I was in an obscure A&E yesterday having a stitch put in my lower eyelid (its a long story but roughly invloves a beach, one of my dogs and another big out of control scarey dog ) one of those freak accidents that is pretty gruesome and upsetting but could have been a whole lot worse - ho -hum I don't do drama very well! anyway stiff upper lip and all!

I hope everyone else is OK wlll try and catch up another time if connection gets better and I can load the whole thread properly

Hello. I didn't temp yesterday or today, so no temps to report. Sore boobs today for the first time since M/C. Gives me confidence that I have definitely OVd and I feel a bit more like my body is back on track. I can't believe I'm happy to have sore boobs, I used to moan about it so much before ttc . Still having slight achy abdomen, but I've had so many minor aches and pains since M/C that this is probably nothing of note. The 2ww continues.....

Minxi Sorry your temps are a bit erratic. Have you had other OV signs?

Seaside I thought that stress could delay OV and consequently af, but I always thought that once you had OV'd no amount of stress or wishful thinking could affect af .

So are you going to test duchesse?

Hello to everyone else. Hope you've all had a nice weekend .

duchesse · 13/05/2007 19:23

I have tested, several times. Negative every time.

beansprout · 13/05/2007 20:28
