Jess - I'd say don't put too much stock in the actual temperatures before and after OV. It is the general pattern that should be similar month after month. I am sure the seasons would affect our temperatures. Do you have an online chart?

Rah - So the walk was rained off huh You escaped - Enjoy your last bit of your break!

Where is everyone else? Don't tell me that Rah and me are the only ones with rain??

NappyValley · 06/05/2007 19:48

greedy thanks for such fab encouragement. It is good to remember that it will all feel better with some perspective (hopefully).

MrsMcJnr Thanks for posting all those graduates, really encouraging.

Rah not sure if this is any help, but DS was conceived when I had a cold during my cycle and I did not OV until Day21! which could see due to temping. FI I had not been paying attention we would have totally missed the boat. Sorry abaout the sunburn but hope that all in all Wales has been a positive experience. Good luck for your Midnight mission.

minxi looking forward on BBQ update.

All:
Thank you for support and messages about DS's arm. It does not seem to be slowing him down at all and he gets about with 1 hand fine. I would be in pieces I am sure. BUT he is waking a lot in the night so sympanthy to mum03 on lack of sleep - how did we cope when they were little!! So I have forgotten to temp every morning so far - which is not good as Operation Shag planned for next week.

Have had severe words with Preg Panda (PP for short) and although she won't reveal which celebs she has be visiting, I have now set her up with a laptop so she can keep track on MN to supervise a bucket load of BFPs.

Rain? What rain we have had a cloudy day but no rain. Tee Hee I love sunny southampton. We ahve spent the weekend working on the garden.

fettleandminifettle · 06/05/2007 20:23

Hi All

Happy Bank Holiday - no rain, but not really any sun either down here - obviously between Wales/Ready and Southampton!!

Went back to that old thread that Greedy linked to and it brought back loads of memories. But she's right, it did highlight that back then I really thought I wasn't going to get pg for ages. I do so hope that you are all there soon with us.

Anyway, must go to the washing up - take care everyone.

Evening everyone
Have been completely run of my feet the past few days with work and other commitments and then today just when I thought I could get some quality MN time I was roped into baking for the church May Day celebrations tomorrow - so 4 hours in the kitchen - 24 fairy cakes, a coffee loaf and 2 trays of brownies later, the lasagna is in the oven for dinner and I am pooped!! Temps are confusing me and I really don't want to get hung up on them as this time next week I will be laying out the welcome mat for AF (or rather banging nails in the door to try and keep her away -but she will be creeping in anyway!) But at least we wil be on holiday next weekend so fabulous scenery wil take my mind off it

Mum03 - OK you win for most obscure posting time!! Lets hope the prize is a BFP.

Rah - Hang in there and keep going hon Maybe the change in scenery/bedroom/ water etc is just clouding the stats - but keep on at it regardless!

Ready Are you limbering up? plenty of grapefruit juice!

beansprout - PITA about the mice - we had them at my old office - had to get the professionals in and then with a little help from our jack russell the mice were no more !

Minxi - Hope BBQ was fun

NappyValley - Glad to hear ds's arm is doing OK. What a nightmare - the trials and tribulations of being a parent Sometimes I think I have forgetten all about what happens when/if we actually have a lo - when we first started TTC I thought about it all the time - now TTC is all-consuming and it will be such a shock if we get that elusive BFP!! Then the rest of your life will be dominated by worrying about the result of that BFP!

jess - Ready is right about the temp patterns - that is the most important thing - Mine seem pretty similar (except this month as I have changed my wake up time) but even now when I overlay my charts the pattern is identical month on month with only a coouple of variations. Do you use any of the charting software - Fertility Friend or Ovusoft?

duchesse - hope you enjoyed the glorious weather Thursday/Friday/ Sat! It has been scorching down here

Iwillbe - Are you out there? Getting busy mid cycle?

MrsMc - How are you doing - hopefully having a chilled bank holiday weekend

Rattling Hope you are doing OK hon?

Lottie if you are lurking - big hugs! Hope Spain is still treating you well

fettle and greedy

mummy2olivia · 06/05/2007 20:58

Hi everyone- hope you are all well!!!

Long time no speak!!!

Sorry to see there have been no BFP's since I was last on here but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a mad rush of them soon.

MRSMCJNR- good to see that a reason for your miscarriage has been pinpointed. My friend has the same condition and after a course of enoxaparin injections which she very bravely administered herself, she now has a gorgeous little girl! She didn't have to start the injections til 8 weeks gone and was told that she should keep ttc but just let them know ASAP when she got pg. Hope the same applies to you. I'm keeping everything crossed.

As for me, We are now officially ttc. Have started the folic acid and am keeping fingers crossed.Olivia is desperate for a brother or sister! No pressure!!

Anyway, must fly. Was good to have a look and see you are all ok. Will pop back to check for BFP's soon and hope I have one of my own!

Love AMMY x

Hey Ladies peeing with rain here but it meant I got to be lazy today after big party here last night, I worked on the food all day and was exhausted!

I have a temp question, went to bed after 2am and woke up at 8am and temped, it was 36.5. I started to get sad and then thought, well, I?ve had much less sleep than usual ? surely that must make a difference? What do you think?

Seaside ? hope the bladder infection has not materialized.

RahRah ? funny about OV. That?s a really high temp but the OPKs do suggest OV today/tomorrow. I decided to go with the OPK prediction of OV this cycle rather than temp as I know I was feeling a bit unwell around then. Hope it all gets clearer.

Hi Beansprout that?ll be the hormones hon, be kind to yourself. Thank you for your good vibes for me Hope getting back into the swing of things doesn?t hurt too much and wishing you wonderful things for this cycle Sorry about the mice (and the messy DH!)

Ready sometimes its good to break with the temp routine! whoops! it was PinkButterfly sorry Pinkelephant I did tell them all you were asking for them. Bodkin sends her regards to you! and wishes you luck You know, I have planned the ?telling everyone? routine so many times in my mind too, one day! Spotting has stayed away so far Hope you enjoyed your meal

Mum03 ? hope you are not feeling too lousy from lack of sleep

Minxi - muppetry neighbours?! Hope you had fun

Jess - I hope the temps get clearer

duchesse · 07/05/2007 01:16

Scorchio! indeed, Seaside. I could get used to the Costa del Devon.

Hi everyone- hope you're all well. Have been feeling queasy for a few days, with sore breasts, but have run out of preg tests, and really can't be bothered to test anyway as even if positive, will prob fail again, and prob am not anyway as think we mis-timed this month. Anyway, is only day 23 or something... Much time in which everything can go tits up.

Good morning. My temp is back to a more reasonable 36.15 this morning, so I definitely think I haven't OV'd yet. I expect to in the next few days though. As long as I haven't delayed it by being so stressed last week. I'm feeling a bit better now. No sign of any bleeding for about 36 hours now so hopefully they'll be no more.

rattling I just noticed you got af on Friday. Sorry to hear that. I didn't know whether to put you back to the top of the list or not so I've left you at the bottom for now.

MrsMcJnr Were you expecting your temp to be higher or lower than 36.5? I find anything like alcohol or a restless night or a late night really sends my temps up. As a result I just don't bother to temp if I haven't had a good night, as I don't want to end up analysing it too much.

duchesse You sound a bit down. I'm not very positive at the moment either.

Nappyvalley Glad to hear your ds is coping well with his bad arm.

Happy Bank Holiday!

Seaside Hope the baking was worth it and you have a splendid May Day! Also hoping that af doesn't appear and you don't have to bolt your door with nails...probably best you are away as either outcome will be better than being at home!

Ready How are you ? Hope you are okay and getting ready for another mammoth sexathon this month?!

Rah Hope you are feeling better...and managed to get some bd in at the right time

beansprout we have mice too in the garage - Dh was on the treadmill out there and one was just grinning at him! too quick too! Hope you are feeling better about being in the pit of trying again this month - tedious really...I know where your coming from as have been here for 2.5 years since that awful depo....I'm hoping that the clomid comes through this month or very soon as wont know where to go from there! but positive thinking from me at the moment

Nappy Hope ds is getting better they are a worry! I was about to go out the other night and my mum was babysitting when just before I heard this loud bang as it was my ds2's nose against the floor - which started bleeding and my mum was saying that it was swelling I was like ok you will be fine - is there swelling ? no he's fine !!! quick out the door! hope you are okay

duchesse Hope you are feeling ok - you sound a bit miserable....cd23 is too early to test though !! wait a couple more days! fingers crossed - someone has to get a bfp on this post soon surely?!

MrsMc hope you are okay - bbq was actually a bit weird as the neighbours had dreadful hangovers from saturday night so arrived an hour late (despite living next door) and then drank diet coke and an hour later the mother left to lie down at home for a couple of hours so had her kids and her hungover dh to deeal with - she came back and had some food (after we had all eaten) then went home ! and to top it all didn't bring anything as a token gesture - not that I mind but I would always take something even if it was a packet of biscuits?! strange! I just had several glasses of wine and went to bed at 9pm!

Iwillbe hope you are ok ?

fettlemini and greedy hope you are both okay - hope somebody is with you guys soon...it is getting frustrating with no bfp's happening!

Anyone else - hello....have a lovely day

OP posts:
jess1996 · 07/05/2007 10:04

I decided to put my temps into fertility friend. I've put the link into the charts thread. It seems to suggest I've OV'd on CD10. Does anyone else find it suggests early OV and then changes it later on?

Ready · 07/05/2007 11:55

Another non-temping morning! Naughty me. I will get over my laziness in time for the important temps - I hope

Mum03 - How are you? How?s the house coming along?

MrsMcJnr - I don?t think Pinkelephant reads this thread, so you won?t have upset her. How come PinkButterfly is having a C-section? Was it elective? ? Aaw lovely Bodkin - I miss her lots! You can tell them (apologies for making you chief messenger!) that I am doing all I can to join them!
Did you have many people over for your party? Sounds like the rain rescued you afterwards ? remember don?t be overdoing stuff!
With the temp question, I am always sceptical (rightly or wrongly) of temps that follow a disturbed night ? best not to analyse one temp too much. That said, it?s looking very steady? Which is good, no? Were you expecting something different? How is it today?

Seaside - The limbering has begun , though I haven?t bothered with the grapefruit juice this month ? TMI but I don?t think it makes a difference ? How are you feeling? I am glad that you have just been busy busy! The thought of brownies and coffee loaf got me dribbling ? I think that I will make some muffins today! Although being really good with my healthy eating, I fear I may spoil it!
See your temp is on the up ? fingers crossed!!

Rah - Back home in your own bed ? hope your trip recharged the batteries! How are you doing?

minxi - Your neighbours sound rather rude actually! I mean imagine going for a lie-down after arriving an hour late! I am a stickler for good etiquette I am afraid, and that does not sound like something that would receive a repeat invitation. I am a snooty thing aren?t I? LOL at you being in bed by 9!

Jess - I don?t think you have ovulated yet either ? FF (and quite possibly TCOYF) can put ovulation too early when they don?t have more temps to go by. I would say with the EWCM it looks like you will be ovulating really soon. Have you tried taking that real low temp out to see what happens to your chart? I think that temp can be discounted as it is so far out of your normal range. What do you other ladies think?

Ammy - How are you? Back ttc huh!! Time really flies doesn?t it! Hope it didn?t seem too long a wait for you in the end? How are the wedding plans coming along?

Fettle - Lovely to see you

Everyone else - Hope all is well with you all! Fingers crossed!

rattling · 07/05/2007 12:29

Ready - no grapefruit juice and erratic temping? You sound super-laid back this month

Anyone who wants to can remove me from the list - I shall return next month refreshed and relaxed after my holidays. Sadly they don't start for another fortnight so I'll be lurking until then.

Ready · 07/05/2007 15:28

Lurk away Rattling - You are right, it does sound odd coming from me, not temping religiously and not trying all the gimmicks! - I do feel more relaxed this month than other months, but then I am only on CD8 - who knows what will happen to my mental state this time next week

Mum03 - I will most certainly ?give-in? before you, because it wasn?t my intention to be lazy with the temping this month. I intend to temp properly now that things are getting important ? How are you doing?

Rah - PMSL at the ?hazelnut comment? ? pleased that it looks like you have ovulated! Now we will keep our fingers and toes crossed! We need a BFP on this thread soon!!

Seaside - All the very best tomorrow!!!! Will be thinking of you and DH! Hope you come out armed with a plan of action and something to focus on. Try not to worry. ((hug)). If I know you, you will go armed with all your facts, and plenty of questions ? leave no stone unturned!
Don?t put too much weight into your lower temps ? in all honesty, the previous charts didn?t turn out to be pregnant charts, so this change could be a positive sign just as much as a negative one! Hang in there, chick!

Minxi - Have you been having disturbed sleep? Only your temps are super erratic. How many times do you take the temp? Just the once? Or a few times to be sure? I would consider temping a few times if you aren?t, just to see if that makes a difference? How are you feeling? You normally ovulate later in the cycle don?t you ? do you think you will continue to do so, even with the clomid?

Beansprout - Didn?t you know that snooker is considered an aphrodisiac in some cultures?

Honeyapple - Lovely to see you.

Hope everyone else is tickety-boo!!??

The weather is terrible here. I am a bit miffed, because we left the patio furniture out, with the parasol ? all uncovered, and now I just have to look at it getting wet, and can?t cover it til it?s dry ? bloody northern weather!
