2ww starts now!

Anyone want to join in the ups and downs of the 2ww this month?

Im 2/3 dpo, so AF due 25th/26th July. A bit unsure when I ovulated - got positive opk on cd10, temp drop cd11, temp rise cd12 which has continued until today (cd14). Natural cycles thinks I ov'd on cd12 but I think it's more likely to be 11 - what do you think? Anyhow, we only managed to hs once during my fw this month (it was on cd10 very late at night so poss good timing!), so I'm sure our chances this month are slim, but that won't stop me holding out hope.

Thank you, @Sictransitgloria @Picklesandpies I think I just needed to vent. Weirdly hubby didn't really say anything, but he has his own ways of dealing with stress or hurt (mine is to get angry or frustrated, his is to focus only on the positives).

Well, I decided to have a go with one of my FRERs this morning and it's a BFN. If I did ovulate on 21, I'm only 8 dpo, but that would mean a really long cycle. I don't know. I think I'm out. 😞

@Polly based on the other ladies' results, I'd say wait til Monday if you can. Then you'd be, what: 10dpo? If you scroll down a bit another poster put a picture of some cheapie tests at 10/11/12 dpo or thereabouts and you can see the difference. Pretty useful.

@rumer35 yes, stress can cause weird cycle stuff. What kind of test did you use? Maybe if you're due Thursday (earliest), wait til early next week and try again.

Isn't it funny that we're all on very similarly timed cycles!?

@rachel I Can understand your feelings entirely. When I MC, I had in mind that just after my cousins wedding we would be able to announce. So then my cousin's wife's girlfriend announced, when our baby was lost. I was happy for them but it just felt so unfair that their baby was healthy and here and mine wasn't. So I get why you feel sad, it's like she got pregnant timing wise when you wanted to! But you aren't out yet Hun!!! Plus pregnancy is the wierdest thing, one of my friends got pregnant 2 months after I did and yet the way weeks of pregnancy work it did seem close together!

@polly: Re testing timing mine were so faint even on what I think was 10 DPO, so I'd say wait til 10 DPO so you don't get the crushing feeing I did at 8/9 DPO... that said you would be a stronger person than me as I couldn't wait!! Xx

Yes I think you're right, I'm going to wait until Monday. Longer if I can but I don't hold out much hope of that

Morning all. Got a faint BFP this morning! Can't quite believe it, although at least I now know all the symptoms weren't in my head!

Just have to hope it sticks now.

Liv Do you have a test photo (you may not want to share your wee covered stick of course!) Did you do a First Response test?

I am going to test again tomorrow, and possibly Monday (although we are getting up at 3.30 for a flight so maybe not!) and if they are BFN then I don't think this is my cycle as I'll be 10 DPO tomorrow.

Don't be too hard on yourself Rachel, I think it would be weirder if you didn't feel that way. It doesn't mean you aren't delighted for your friends, but of course you wish it was you too.

Hopefully you'll get your BFP soon when everything settles down again for you, and then your babies will be born just a few months apart.

I've been out tonight for a family meal and managed to get away with it I think!! Literally my husband has had to drink all of my drinks when no one is looking or I got rid of them etc!! So funny! Xxx exhausted now but we are at my husbands cousins so we don't have the boys tomorrow am so I can lie in wooooo!!

Poas this morning using a frer and it's BFN. Due af in 4 days so think I'm out this month. Annoying for two reasons as I'll be on for most of my holiday now too

Sorry to hear that Rachel. It's so disappointing after all the anticipation isn't it? I'm consoling myself with a cup of tea and a Crunchy! I just wish my period would hurry up and come early now so we can get back to it next month. I think we need to try a bit harder as we only dtd once after static smiley because I was tired and going to bed hours before dh (not terribly conducive to baby making!) Here's to next month (assuming no last minute surprises!) 🥂

Hope we can keep this thread going as it's nice to have people who are in the same boat to chat to!
