I think the last thread was full. I hope you all find this one!

@littlemimosa - I'm scared stiff to be honest :(x

RhiBee29 · 21/07/2017 07:34

Morning! I need to throw the cheese away, I'm bridesmaid in 4 weeks, the dress is getting tight

I think I'm ovulating, boobs are sore and loads of ewcm, gutted to be wasting it but sensibly I know that TTC is not wise until September.

Hope all goes well @Melodypond17.

Good luck everyone else x

littlemimosa · 21/07/2017 07:46

Thinking of you Melody x

katiegd · 21/07/2017 07:52

Melody - fx for your doctors visit, hope there is some help they can offer or tests they can do so you know where you stand.

Littlemimosa - any news? Every month I curse the fact that disappointment and PMS inevitably come at the same time! Any other time of month I could probably cope much better.

Sarah - Flowers hope it's not AF as that does sound very early.

Rhi - frustrating to have all the signs of ovulation and not try! But sounds like you've made a sensible decision waiting.

I'm 10/11dpo. Feeling the same as every previous month I.e. No different apart from being quite irritable and weepy. My cheapies arrived in post yesterday so I did one of them when I got home from work - BFN. Trying not to think that means anything as it was early to test and bad time of day.

Melodypond17 · 21/07/2017 10:35

Thanks everyone :)

Doctor was really nice although realistic...

I've been given a blood test to do on cd21, been referred for an ultrasound for something (missed what) and had an internal swab (fun - not) to make sure I haven't got any infections.

DH was also given a form to go and get his sperm checked!

I was warned that because we both already have children from previous relationships that we won't get very far with investigations/treatment on the NHS... time to win the lottery me thinks! 🙊🙉🙈

katiegd · 21/07/2017 11:17

Hi Melody, glad it went ok. Good luck on all the tests.

Those are the exact tests we've been sent for I think. I won't get bloods done til next cycle now due to holidays.

Sarah2209 · 21/07/2017 13:51

Hello all.... thanks for all the best wishes.... I was secretly hoping it was implantation, but it was there yesterday every time I peed; then woke up with bad cramps and more brown cm. Think AF has come early..... so another failed month and now only 3 months left trying before we call it quits.

Melody ask about Clomid - can’t hurt. I just had to pay for the prescription and they were ok about doing the internal scans on the NHS? fingers crossed they may do the same for you?

Fx for you LittleMimosa and Katiegd - hope it is your month. Be good to have some good news in this group.

katiegd · 21/07/2017 19:06

Sorry to hear AF feels imminent Sarah :-(.

I've just had my letter through for my pelvic scan as part of fertility tests. It's mid-August. Things are moving forward and hoping it'll provide some insight.

littlemimosa · 21/07/2017 19:17

Oh Sarah I've been so hoping it wasn't AF. Always a very upsetting time of the month especially with the limit you've set. Just a thought, have you tried any positive affirmations or fertility meditations?

Katie no news here. AF is officially late but I'm so sure I'm not pregnant even though I've not tested. I had all the usual PMS symptoms, the main one being sore boobs from 7dpo which disappear like clockwork at 14dpo. I cried yesterday when I realised the sore boobs had gone as it's such a sure sign for me thatvAF is on her way. Still waiting tho! I'll give it another couple of days then test if no AF. It's probably just my age and my cycles going a bit weird.

Melody glad you're ok. Sounds like the same chat my GP gave me. Except I'm too chicken to get my results! She did say I'd be eligible for clomid tho.

lisara79 · 21/07/2017 20:46

@sarah2209 sorry about AF.... @littlemimosa I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you.... and you others waiting. We finally dtd today... didn't happen again last night but as still no positive lol, today and tomorrow and possibly Sunday should still be good. I'm crossing my fingers for the fertility surge after a miscarriage.... come on body!

OP posts:
lisara79 · 21/07/2017 20:46

positive opk not lol.... lol

RhiBee29 · 21/07/2017 21:42

DH just said he thinks we should take advantage of the ewcm and go for it Confused I'm more than happy it was him that wanted to wait to TTC again. Excited yet apprehensive!

lisara79 · 21/07/2017 22:15

@rhibee29 I think if you feel ready then go for it!

OP posts:
Melodypond17 · 22/07/2017 00:13

Good luck @RhiBee29

@Sarah2209 - I mentioned clomid but was told that wouldn't be discussed til I had my tests done... x

Sarah2209 · 22/07/2017 11:51

Morning Ladies... LittleMimosa/KatieGd any news? So hope you both get good news this month....

LittleMimosa - no I haven’t tried affirmations? Where can I find more information about that? Willing to try anything!

Good luck RhiBee and Lisara - really hope you both bounce back after your trying times.

I have to say this AF is hugely painful and heavy. Almost feels like my MC did.... wonder if it was a chemical as I didn’t test. But a nasty, nasty one this time.

Melody - hope your tests are all good. At least you’ll know whats what and can make plan.

Oh by the way - I was brave and mentioned my really awful scan to the nice nurse I saw 3 weeks ago and apparently a few other ladies had complained about that particular nurse. She said we must empower you ladies to say if its uncomfortable or hurting.... so pleased I said something as I was so nervous after last time and she was so gentle it restored my faith..... So if any of you start having internal scans please do tell them if their being too rough..... and not sit there like me and take it!!!

littlemimosa · 22/07/2017 18:31

Af arrived this morning. I knew she would. I know as soon as boobs stop hurting it's all over. Does anyone else have this pattern?! I.e. Sore boobs approx 7dpo to two days before AF, then the boob pain tapers off, I get a slight headache then AF 1/2 days later.

Feeling ok as I'd already had my cry yesterday. Think my next step is to pull on my big girl pants and get my results.

Sarah, I've got two suggestions for you. One is to just search YouTube for fertility meditation. Try a few to see which ones 'speak' to you. Most are v American so you have to be selective and also try to see past that! The other things is to look into EFT/Tapping. It's a v simple way of tapping (with your fingertips) certain spots around your face, hands and chest whilst repeating an affirmation. Google it. It sounds a bit woo but it's very good for calming and focussing your mind. It's mainly used for post traumatic stress but is good if you're upset and need to think positively. I can't really explain it properly here but hopefully you can get info from the information superhighway!

Ps thanks for the scan tip and well done for speaking up. It pays to be brave and say when you think something is wrong x

lisara79 · 23/07/2017 00:04

Thanks @sarah2209 I should ovulate tomorrow... finally got my positive on opk. @littlemimosa I get the same. my boobs start aching just after ovulatuon and keep going until a few days before AF... I also get uterine pains through the second half of my cycle too... these do not taper off however, although when I did conceive, these were stronger and kept going past period due date. I didn't notice any change with my boobs when I conceived however... I'm sure it's different every time!

OP posts:
RhiBee29 · 23/07/2017 08:19

@littlemimosa I get really sore boobs during ovulation and just before AF. With AF they stop hurting as soon as it arrives. Both times I've been pregnant my boobs have stayed sore. Sorry to hear AF has arrived. It's weird how in tune we get with our bodies when TTC.

Well done @Sarah2209 for speaking up, I hope you're feeling reassured that it was just one insensitive nurse and not the norm.

If I am ovulating/ in fw then AF is due 2 days before my birthday and DH has booked us a night away in a fancy hotel...typical!

myusernamewhichisthis · 23/07/2017 14:19

hi ladies can i join? im entering the 2ww today - af due 5th august. got a static smiley on the opk on cd 15 and today is cd17.

never used an opk before but this month used the clearblue and its so easy! really like it and its given me a little boost. i thought maybe id stopped ovulating as im 45, i id gt pg last year at 44 but lost the baby, been ttc for around 10 months now but no luck so far.

so. into the 2ww today. please ladies wish me luck!! x

littlemimosa · 23/07/2017 16:21

Lisara and Rhi thanks for sharing your PMS symptoms. Very interesting hearing what goes on for others.

Welcome my username! Great to have you here. There are a few of us on here over 40 ttc including myself (41). Sorry for your loss last year, that must've been very hard. Have you had any tests or anything since or before? Only asking cos I'm having some and a couple of the other ladies too.

katiegd · 23/07/2017 18:29

Hi all,

Good luck for this month Lisara and Rhi.

Sorry AF showed up littlemimosa :-(.

Sarah - well done for speaking up about the painful scan. Was it an internal pelvic scan? I thought they were supposed to be painless! I'm going for my first one in a few weeks.

Welcome myusername. Good luck this month.

No news from me - AF due Tuesday/Wednesday, but not getting my hopes up. Feeling pretty flat. I'm aware it's probably partly pmt emotions, but it really feels like my DP isn't that bothered about TTC right now. I know he's stressed and that is playing a part as he has a really intense and emotionally draining job. We've literally only shagged once in the last month and that's only because I nagged him when I got a positive opk. He's not even looked at the sperm analysis letter he got given and I'm worried I'll have to nag him to make an appointment. All in all, it feels like this is on my mind all the time and that he is burying his head in the sand.

myusernamewhichisthis · 23/07/2017 19:46

thank you for the welcome.

littlemimosa no tests for me - i do hve grown up children from a previous relationship so the gp said there is nothing they can do for me. she did offer to test to see if i was ovulating but the opk has made me feel a bit better and i still have a regular cycle of around 30ish days.
dp has no kids and so it was quite a blow to lose a baby girl last year. i didnt want to try again initially. but here i am - going for a final shot at motherhood. well see. i have faith that if its meant to happen it will. if it doesnt it doesnt.

lisara79 · 23/07/2017 20:29

Welcome myusernamewhichisthis... sorry to hear of your loss bit good luck! Regular periods and opks are a good sign... my partner and I seem to be your opposite... he has a grown up child from a previous marriage and I don't have any... im 37 so a little younger but my partner is 48. We couldn't get any NHS help either but we had an early miscarriage just over a month ago and are taking it as a good sign.
