Not sure what is happening this month. I always get my positive opk on cd26. Cd26 today and no positive. Have had a bit of ewcm but feeling a bit lost this month.

lisara79 · 28/06/2017 22:15

@rhibee29 Please stay around... wouldn't be the same without you! I saw my doctor yesterday and, although we are planning to try again from next cycle as long as AF is normal, she said that you have to take all of the time you need and it can be a very traumatic experience for both body and mind - and I wasn't as far as you and didn't need any intervention... you have to be kind to yourself.

@shredtheevidence it may still be early... from what I understand, every pregnancy is different.

@lisara79 I'm really shocked at how it's affecting me. Hubby & I went to the cinema yesterday to take our minds off it and both came out crying like babies...we saw Wonder Woman WTF?

user1498418402 · 29/06/2017 11:00

Hi can I join? I'm not sure if I even count as in the tww? I'm 31 and if I'm pregnant this will be number 3. We aren't ttc but 5 days before ov (which is due to be today) we had a little accident (see my post, its embarrassingly TMI) and we decided not to bother with the morning after pill as according to my Flo app it wasn't my fw. Since then I have googled and googled and people have indeed fallen pregnant from sex 5 days before ov although I think its a long shot. To be honest even though we aren't ttc I'm kind of hoping its happened Hmm I came off my pill in March so my cycles have been a bit erratic so I may have ovulated earlier or later. I suppose that's why I feel like I'm in the tww?? x

Sarah2209 · 29/06/2017 13:53

RhiBee - your homones will be all over the place not to mention your emotions... and hubby has lost the baby too, so it's no wonder your both emotional... give yourselves some time - both for your body to move on and your heart. Flowers please do stay around...

Katie - could be too early! Hang in there...

Shred - oh that's rubbish. I'd still be DTD as opks can sometimes be wrong! Doesn't hurt to hedge your bets.... maybe every 2 days just in case...

Well me and Hubby has a very serious talk, his health hasn't been brilliant and our financial circumstances have changed so we no longer can afford ivf... so we've given ourselves 4 months - that's when my Clomid finishes and then we're going to stop if God hasn't given us a baby.... it's been a long road and emotionally, as you all know, it's so hard to cope with the disappointment each month....

Tough decision but I have to face reality of our ages and circumstances. Sad though Sad

However I have a great DH, 2 lovely dogs and a good life so can't be too upset if we're not meant to have a baby x

Fx to all waiting and welcome new user...

Seasidegirl74 · 29/06/2017 14:42

Hello! First post on the site... Can I join you lovely ladies?

43 years old
TTC #1
Cycle 1
8 dpo
6 days to AF

So emotional... Can't stop crying which is completely alien to me as I'm usually very much in control! It's pathetic! Xx

Sarah2209 · 29/06/2017 14:59

Hello seasidegirl.... nice to have another ladies in her 40's here! Im also 43, 44 this year and ttc No.1...

Hope your emotions are a good sign.... be lucky to conceive first cycle!!

Welcome x

lisara79 · 29/06/2017 15:13

@rhibee29 I k ow. it's strange... my hormones are still all over the place... I think you'll cope as you cope, if you know what I mean... For something that is so common, it really does hurt, in all ways x

Thanks Sarah! Yes, it'll be very lucky on first cycle! Hopefully we'll all be lucky very soon Smile

katiegd · 30/06/2017 14:28

Hi all,

Sarah - that sounds like a really tough and brave decision you've come to. I'm glad you're able to look at the positives in your life as it is.

Rhi - I hope you are doing ok and being kind to yourself.

Welcome to the new people.

I'm having an emotional few days. AF showed up today, so I'm onto the next cycle. Also just twigged today that one of my colleagues may be pg. I work in a really small team so it's going to be quite hard to cope with if my suspicions turn out to be correct (all the signs are there so I'm fairly sure I'm right).

I'm generally feeling really tearful and fragile! So unfair that the inevitable discovery that you're still not pg happens at the time of the month when emotions are already all over the place.

On the plus side, it's Friday and I've had cake. So it's not all bad.

Shredtheevidence · 03/07/2017 06:20

@katiegd that is always tough.

How are the rest of you ladies doing?

We are on holiday glamping with just a fabric wall between us and DD so not really conducive to lots of dtd. I am still confused as to what mybctcle is doing so I am pretty much at the sit and wait stage. I either missed my lh surge overnight and pretty missed my fertile window or ov'd late or early in which case I may be covered. Either way I am taking a of test before friend comes over with a bottle of wine on Thursday as af is officially due on Friday!

RhiBee29 · 03/07/2017 07:12

Back to work today, bleeding has mostly stopped. Dreading the questions but need to face up to it and move on. Thanks for all your support over the last week Flowers

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww x

RosieRo123 · 03/07/2017 07:58

Morning all!

Cycle 3
First time ttc
First time using OPK's

I had a positive OPK on Saturday, how do I know when I've ovulated? Just any time in the two days after? Guess I'm in my tww now, eek.
Haven't dtd enough this cycle. Husband wasn't well and we fell out about me talking about fertile windows, OPK's, loose boxers and pineapple too much 🤣🤣🤣
HOWEVER we dtd on positive OPK day and the day after. Might be lucky?
Going forward I will be coming on here rather than telling the husband I have reached the fertile window 🙄 Anyone else have this trouble with their men? NB he really wants children but hates being put under pressure (understandably). Good luck this cycle ladies xxx

RhiBee29 · 04/07/2017 21:19

Hope everyone is well and the TWW isn't driving you too mad.

I want to track my cycle if possible, would cd1 be the day I started bleeding with the mc?

lisara79 · 04/07/2017 23:12

Welcome @rosiero123! I'm ttc #1 as well.... but this will be cycle 5.

@rhibee29 I counted the first day of bleeding as day 1 and I seemed to ovulate at the right time. I haven't been tracking this month properly as didn't want the stress as was sitting it out... I think AF due this weekend. I can certainly feel it coming! my pmt has certainly started with avengeance!

OP posts:
lisara79 · 04/07/2017 23:15

@rosiero123 are you checking your tempreture as well? it really helps you to know when you've ovulated... I also get some ovulation pain. For me it's usually the next day. I think as long as you dtd in the days before and then maybe once or twice after the opk is positive, you'll have covered all bases.

OP posts:
RhiBee29 · 05/07/2017 06:56

Thanks @lisara79 I hope my cycle hasn't been affected too much

Melodypond17 · 06/07/2017 00:43

Hi guys

@RhiBee29 - I'm so sorry for what you're going through

Hello to all the new people :)

8dpo here and just back from honeymoon - and for the first time part of me is hoping for a bfn as I drank so much whilst we were away...

No symptoms at all except really bad heartburn but I think that might be all the delicious food we had while we were away!

RhiBee29 · 06/07/2017 07:03

Congratulations @Melodypond17 Flowers hope you had an amazing honeymoon x

PointeShoesAndTutus · 06/07/2017 07:59

Hello! I'm new!
Age: 31
TTC: #1
Cycle: 2
DPO: 12

This is so much harder than I thought! I was so sure I'd be totally chilled and all 'when it happens, it happens!' ...but every BFN absolutely kills me!

I was sure this month was the one - had cramping, nausea and the worst heartburn since about 7 DPO. On 11DPO I had some very slight pale pink CM on wiping (twice).

Tested 10DPO and again this morning. 2 BFN. Reckon I'm out for this month.

lisara79 · 06/07/2017 22:51

Hi @pointeshoesandtutus and welcome! You are never out until AF shoes and could still be too early... the light bleeding could be implantation... fingers crossed for you.

welcome back @melodypond hope you had a lovely honey moon

I'm now a few days before AF and, unusually, hoping it comes on time as it will show system is back to normal after the early miscarriage... be nice to know all is in place! my mood swings are deffo here but I usually have pain and have had none this month at all... thought I felt ovulation but nothing since... fingers crossed for everyone!

OP posts:
lisara79 · 08/07/2017 19:45

AF arrives today... only one day late... never been so happy to see it!

OP posts:
RhiBee29 · 08/07/2017 22:13

@lisara79 I'm wishing for AF to arrive too. Do you mind if I ask how long from mc to cd1? I'm still spotting 14 days after start of mc. I genuinely thought I'd want a break from TTC but the yearning for a baby has only intensified and I'm desperate to begin again!

lisara79 · 08/07/2017 22:52

@rhibee29 for me it was 31 days... I generally have a 29-30 day cycle so 31 days is only just over that... iv e had longer cycles before. I ovulated cd16 and 15 days is about normal luteral phase for me. Your hormone might have taken a little longer to drop though so might be a little longer... are you testing for ov? hopefully once you've ovulated, luteral phase might be about normal... fingers crossed for you. AF looks pretty normal so far but only cd1 so not counting my chickens... Make sure you feel up to it though Rhi... you have time to deal with the loss xxx

OP posts:
RhiBee29 · 09/07/2017 07:46

Thanks @lisara79, Ovia suggests FW begins tomorrow so I'm on the lookout for EWCM, I've never had a positive ovulation stick! Had a chat to DH last night and we've decided to start TTC again in September. We got a really busy summer and it gives us time to process everything. I've booked a reflexology session for next week to try and regulate my hormones again.
