Anyone ttc baby #2 in July?

Hi all,
Anyone ttc number 2?!

I know lots of you are so I thought I'd see if anyone in same boat wants to chat on a new thread?!

I chat to some lovely ladies on the monthly ttc buses....I know some are ttc their first baby (some with real difficulties like MC, or just for a long time) and I feel so bad to be worrying about conceiving #2 when I already have a lovely little one tucked up in his bed upstairs, when I'm sure they'd love to be in that position. (Not that they'd ever say anything or show any resentment, as they're all lovely and just as supportive whether people are trying for 1st or 5th!!!)

It is a bit different though, different emotions... grateful for what you have but longing to be a mummy again... and different challenges (trying to fit in dtd when you have a little person sabotaging your efforts and popping up to demand a drink/teddy/phantom tummy ache, I swear he has a radar for it!)

So I just wondered if anyone wanted to chat who's in same boat ttc #2, as it can also be hard when you desperately want to have another baby, to give your others a sibling, and it's seemingly not happening...

I'm ttc#2 (ds just turned 3)
Age 36
Cycle 5 (af just ending). Feeling disappointed but hopeful ...

Good luck all ttc whatever number you're on!

X

Oh yeah and I really identify with the statement someone made that "implantation bleeding is never implantation bleeding!", and also the testing even after AF has already started "...you know, in case it's just a big implantation bleed!" These really did make me LOL!! Good to know we are all the same....! 😜👍

Silversun83 · 01/07/2017 14:49

Yes, definitely pros and cons to each age gap! And as we all know, you can't really plan these things too much anyway..

Welcome Coconut! Good luck with cycle one.

Lopey, very good idea to note down pre-ovulation pregnancy symptoms! Ha ha.. Those are probably what convinced me to test after AF before! I'm a terrible symptom-spotter.. It's strange but the only cycle I was convinced I wasn't pregnant before was the cycle that I was.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

1000jobstodo · 01/07/2017 16:08

Lopey you are so so right. If I noted down every time I have an ovary/womb area twinge I'd run out of paper very quickly. I even went on the pill to stop all of the symptoms I have throughout the month. Symptom spotters United at least!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been really quiet on here, I found the TWW really difficult. But I want to share my news, I got a faint BFP on Wednesday and I've just done another test and the line is so much stronger! Given my history I'm trying not to get too excited but can't help it

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 02/07/2017 08:57

Hello everyone. I'm also ttc #2 - DS is 22 months old. Am utterly terrified as I turned 36 last month and am convinced I will be too old. Fell pregnant the first time fairly easily, so expectations are a little high. It took a while to get DH to make up his mind to try for another baby and this is the first cycle we are properly trying, so am currently in TWW.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/07/2017 11:27

Oh no its happening again!!!!!! Faint faint faint second like on frer.. 9dpo.
If anyone can remember me from last months thread this happened for a few days.. af was 2 days late! Never any certainty. I suppose it is still early i need to wait don't i!
Same as last time... appeared within timeframe!? Can anyone see!? Dp is struggling 😂

I see it blue!!! Test again tomorrow :)

Congrats tiberius!!

Let this be a lucky month for everyone :)

HazelRah · 02/07/2017 12:04

I see it too!! How exciting!! Congrats both! Hoping this will be a v lucky thread then :-D

Foniks · 02/07/2017 12:51

Congratulations Blue!! Very exciting!

Silversun83 · 02/07/2017 12:54

Congrats Tiberius! Smile What cycle are you on?

I think I can vaguely see an indentation Blue.. But they do usually look stronger in real-life.. And 9DPO is very very early! Try not to test for a couple of days and hopefully the line will be darker then. Sorry to hear about last month.. Was your line that early too?

Silversun83 · 02/07/2017 12:57

As for me, I think I'm roughly 7/8DPO but I don't think I have any symptoms.. Slightly gassy and very slightly sore nipples but I'm sure probably just usual luteal phase stuff! Only DTD twice and first cycle so not much chance considering it took 12 last time of DTD almost every single day in fertile period!

Foniks · 02/07/2017 13:13

Oh sorry, didn't see Tiberius post Blush just read back.
Congratulations Tiberius too! Ooh, even more exciting now!!

Tiberius12 · 02/07/2017 14:31

Thanks everyone. It was cycle number 1 silversun although I had an early MC in November and a MMC in March so have been trying quite a while.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/07/2017 19:26

Silver with dd i got a bfp at 9dpo.. but 2 cycles ago when i conceived again (had cp) i was 13dpo. Last cycle i had very faint lines for a few days!? No idea what dpo's.
I am feeling quite hopeful as i have done an IC and i have a squinter on that too Smile

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/07/2017 19:27

So sorry to hear that Tiberius a little rainbow for you xx

Impatientmummy36 · 02/07/2017 20:01

Wow, great news! Was so happy to see this when I checked back into the thread. Congrats Tiberius and fingers crossed Blue 😊

Impatientmummy36 · 02/07/2017 20:13

Af due Friday...

...think might test Tuesday or Weds but facing usual fear: not wanting to know the truth if it's negative again!... and the awful few days that follow where you convince yourself you've just tested too early and could still be pregnant... when in your heart you know the tests are so sensitive it must be accurate!...

Who else is testing/due this week? X

Ah what a positive day on this thread! Great news.
Update us tomorrow Blue, fx for you!
I'm testing Saturday. Seems a long way away. Had lots of pinching sensations today but I have no idea whether this means anything. Could be my imagination/wishful thinking..

Who else is testing this week?

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 02/07/2017 20:55

1000jobs I should be testing Saturday, but as I have been a day or so early for the past few cycles, I might crack and test Friday. I'll be away at a work conference, so hopefully nice surprise for DH when I get back ...

1000jobstodo · 02/07/2017 21:53

tiramisu that sounds perfect! I'm doing the same- testing day before I'm due. I've done early testing before and due to the upset from last time I'm determined to only test at 13dpo. I need to sellotape my hands together though. Fx for you for Friday. What a lovely surprise that would be for your dh on you getting back.
I've never done a away-from-home-overnight-work-conference. Right now a night on my own in a hotel room sounds lovely! My dd is stuck to me like glue at the moment. Hope this month is your month Smile

BlueeSpottyTiger · 03/07/2017 08:38

I'm so pleased! So it was positive yesterday at 9dpo afterall, but this confirms it 🤗
