So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

ArchiesMamaBird · 22/08/2017 10:25

Sorry for the BFN Hippie but it's great that you're not feeling too down. You'll have a fab holiday and get a good dose of Vitamin D ready for your next FW Smile

OP posts:
notparticularlypatient · 22/08/2017 11:46

Sorry Hippy, but glad you're feeling ok
about it. Sounds like next FW will be during your holiday - that is definitely a good thing!

I am 8dpo and temp was still elevated this morning, so I'm not out yet. Usually gets spotting late on 9dpo, but we shall see. Went for 21 day bloods this morning, so at least I will know whether my progesterone behaves normally. Hope the rest of you are doing fine!

Hi moo!

Hippychic18 · 22/08/2017 12:04

thanks ladies :)

come on patient ... you got this :)
no pressure :)))

xxx

loababy · 22/08/2017 15:49

Hi all,

Just a quick goodbye from me. Oh & I have decided to go our separate ways and in the PMA spirit it really is the best thing for us and our happiness. Good luck to you all, wishing you all your BFPs soon!!

xx

CakesALot · 22/08/2017 15:56

Sorry to hear that @loababy. Hope you're ok hun x

MissMagpie · 22/08/2017 19:04

Oh ladies I am broken. I started spotting on Sunday. Was seen by the Early Pregnancy unit and they said it was a threatened miscarriage and sent me home to keep an eye on things.
Yesterday I started cramping and had the hugest bleed. I went to A&E and just kept bleeding. They kept me in overnight and this morning I passed the foetus and all.the pregnancy material.
I am home now, signed off work and utterly devastated and exhausted. I am being referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and having all the genetic tests done on the foetus. It's so unfair.

notparticularlypatient · 22/08/2017 19:17

Oh magpie, I'm so terribly sorry that this has happened. Just when you perhaps thought your were on your way out of the woods as well. You were about ten weeks? It is truly unfair, and you must be devastated. I know there isn't really anything anyone can say at this point to make it better. Please take the time you need to start healing, and don't rush it back to work. The only thing that helped me at that point was spending time with DD, stealing lots of hugs and letting her keep me busy. Thinking of you and sending hugs and Flowers.

Loa I'm sorry, hope you're ok!

ArchiesMamaBird · 22/08/2017 23:28

Oh Magpie, I am so, so sorry. I've just shed a few tears for you, I am honestly heartbroken that this has happened to you. Take it easy, I'm sure you have a long road ahead of you before you will feel anything like normal. It's good that you are being referred so that if anything is going wrong then hopefully it will be picked up and treated to stop this happening in the future. Sending so much love to you all 💕

Loababy and I'm so sorry to hear about you too. But if it's the right thing to do, and if you will both be happier then it's obviously meant to be. I'm also sending you lots of love and good luck for your future 😊

Patient I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 you've got this!

Hippychic18 · 23/08/2017 06:32

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
I only popped on to confirm that af has arrived!
I was not expecting to read this ....

magpie I am heartbroken for you Hun, i am sooooooooo sorry to hear this. I truly cannot imagine what you are feeling / going through right now. Sending you lots of love ❤️ and hugs. Like archies says - it's good that you are being referred. We are all here for you, so if you need support please feel free to pop on here or message any of us individually. Flowers

loa I am soooo sorry to hear that you and dp have decided to go your separate ways. I've been through a fair few break ups and a divorce so I understand how hard it is. Again if you need support or a rant please feel free to message me. Big hugs to you too.

Well patient I'm definitely out this month so all eyes on you now Hun... come on universe ... notparticularlypatient has been more than fecking patient .... give her her Bfp

Xxx

CakesALot · 23/08/2017 07:09

😢 @MissMagpie I'm am so so so sorry. Such heartbreaking news. Like patient said, look after yourself, take the time you need. I recall doing daft things like going to the cinema in the middle of the day and painting the living room when I had my mmc. Anything to get through those first difficult days. Thoughts are with you hun. Good that you'll be getting referred too and I hope there is a simple and treatable explanation at the end of this. Lots of love xxx

Sorry about af @Hippychic18 But sounds like you were prepared for her this month. Bring on the holiday!

notparticularlypatient · 24/08/2017 11:53

Magpie I hope you're as ok as you can possibly be at this point. Thinking of you.

Thanks for rooting for me, ladies. Have to disappoint you though... Af is here, very predictable spotting in the night at 9 dpo and full flow today at 10. Really curious to hear what the blood test will show about the progesterone level at day 8.

Was really sad last night, this was cycle eight, and while I know that many have to try for longer, my age worries me massively. It's been nearly a year since we started trying, and I'm now 41 and not 40. Anyway, had a good chat with dp about it all, he is the most relaxed person on the planet, but sometimes I need to talk about what our options are if this doesn't work out. I think we will both be fine with adoption, and I guess we could also go the egg donation route (but would have to go abroad for that). We really feel we have room for another child in the family, so it is good to know that there are options.

Sorry about the lack of pma today, but we agreed that some gloom is allowed on cd 1, right..?

CakesALot · 24/08/2017 12:26

@notparticularlypatient you certainly are allowed some gloom on cd1. Its almost necessary so you feel the benefit when you perk up again. So sorry you didn't get the BFP this cycle. Great you've talked things through with dp and you're on the same page with regard to looking ahead at what could be next. Keep going, whatever route you take will be worth it 😊

@MissMagpie thoughts are still with you lovely. I do hope you're ok 😚

Tww has commenced here. Bored already 😊

Hippychic18 · 24/08/2017 12:30

Awwwwww patient .... big hugs to you! I'm sorry to hear that af has arrived at your door now! I had hoped that she would just stay with me but clearly she doesn't get the message!! And yes you are more than entitled to be pissed off in cd 1 ... I was feeling rubbish all day yesterday, but I was more upset about magpie than my own af and definitely echo your well wishes.
In terms of your age - try not to think about it ... I know it's very hard .... I'm 39 in January and I want two kids so I can completely see where you're coming from... but I do think ttc sometimes takes a while regardless of age ... I genuinely think we're all quick to assume something is wrong when it isn't necessarily. Glad to hear that your dh is super chilled ... maybe he could give us all some tips :))) when do you get your results back Hun?
Xxx

Hippychic18 · 24/08/2017 12:33

cakes - sorry chic I was writing whilst you posted .... I do love that we are two weeks apart .... I can ride out your 2ww with you now. Fortunately it doesn't stress me out as much as my own 2ww does 😂
Got it all crossed for you
Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 25/08/2017 10:32

Patient sorry that she arrived for you Flowers

We don't seem to be having a very good month so we ladies. We definitely deserve an influx of BFP's soon Smile

OP posts:
Hippychic18 · 25/08/2017 11:30

Hi archies - all eyes on you next I think ... no pressure of course 😉

I'm wondering where flash and chips have got to... are you still with us ladies?

Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 25/08/2017 13:53

Hippy haha well I've been a teeny bit crampy the last few days, so I'm sure she's on her way. Although I do have a serious lack of PMS symptoms Hmm but I've had months like this before and AF sneaks up on me like a little ninja Grin

OP posts:
CakesALot · 25/08/2017 15:24

I'm like that @ArchiesMamaBird. Different feelings and symptoms every month, just to keep me guessing. I'm only 2 or 3 dpo (I think, really not keeping good track this month) but I'm really bloated like af is due. That's this months new thing 😂

Hippychic18 · 25/08/2017 16:39

Awww ladies I really hope she stays away for you both ... we must all be at destination Bfp soon .... surely!!
Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 25/08/2017 16:48

Cakes I hear ya! Every month I think "ooh I've never had this before, I must be upduffed!" Then AF shows up like "ha tricked you!" 🙈

OP posts:
ArchiesMamaBird · 25/08/2017 16:48

And yes Hippy, I can feel it. We will ALL be there soon xx

OP posts:
Chipsahoy · 25/08/2017 19:50

I'm so so sorry magpie. So sorry.

Loa so sorry to hear your news as well.

Lots of af arriving and bad news from us all. Sad

My af is due on Sat or sun and already has usual spotting and cramps. So I'm out too. Been ill with the flu. That's four out of five months I've been ill or had a uti during my period. Think my body is telling me something. I am in therapy for ptsd a d it's been rough lately, thinking perhaps I should take a break and let my body and mind heal. But I so want another baby...

Fingers crossed for you archies, we need some good news...no pressure or anything Wink

ArchiesMamaBird · 25/08/2017 20:47

Oh bless you Chips, that's so shit. Maybe take a small break, ttc can be all consuming and the stress of it all can be damaging to our health. You never know, taking your mind off ttc could work wonders and you could end up with a surprise little BFP Smile

I've been really crampy tonight so already thinking that I'm out. But going to enjoy the bank hol weekend and not think about it too much.

Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend 😘

OP posts:
Hippychic18 · 25/08/2017 22:50

Hi chips - sorry to hear that you've been poorly. Ttc has certainly got to me a bit this year which is why I've taken a bit of a more chilled view on things ... but saying that I'm still using opks and taking supplements and when fw hits I can't help but want to try ... the thought of losing a cycle on purpose doesn't sit well as like you I really want a little dc and at 38 I feel I've waited long enough already! Sending you big hugs 🤗

archies I hope the camping is implantation chic ... you're not out till your out and our bfps are near ... I'm sure ... and that goes for all of us ...
have a great bank holiday wk end ladies
