So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

Yaaaaaay magpie thank you for checking in - I have been wondering how you were getting on but didn't want to pry ... I can understand why you're feeling anxious but by the sounds of it your doing great xxx big hugs xx

CakesALot · 18/08/2017 19:40

So good to hear from you @MissMagpie! So glad things seem to be progressing well. When I was preggers with DD after miscarrying, I'm not sure I enjoyed those first weeks either. I couldn't let myself believe it. DH was happy when we had an early scan at 7weeks but I wasn't! We went on holiday when I was 15 weeks and I remember starting to see a little bump and feel little flutters and then I finally settled into it. Pregnancy is looooong!!! Lots of time to enjoy it and feel amazing yet. Lots of well wishes for you hun xxxx

notparticularlypatient · 18/08/2017 20:01

Brilliant news that all is good, Magpie! At ten weeks the odds are definitively on your side, although I fully understand the state of worry after miscarriage. If when I get pregnant again I will be a nervous wreck the first 12 40 weeks. Hope you managed to enjoy your holiday. And good for you that the nausea isn't too bad!

How are the rest of you doing? Have had a crazy week at work, so haven't had the time to update. Not that there is much to update on, but at least I am in the tww, 4 dpo today. So still rather relaxed, but that will probably change as of early next weekConfused. On the positive side I have a nice and social weekend with a dinner at some friends tomorrow. And on Monday I work from home, including an acupuncture session, feeling relaxed alreadySmile

Hippychic18 · 18/08/2017 21:08

Hi cakes :))) hi *patient
I'm cd23 today .... feeling relaxed although I do have stages of thinking am I, aren't I :))
Feel like I'm having a phantom pregnancy since I've put on a bit of weight since ttc 😳🤣

How's everyone else?

Xxx

CakesALot · 18/08/2017 21:24

Putting on weight is a good thing,a sign of being relaxed and content I say! I'm clearly very content because I could with shifting a stone! 😂😂

Hi @notparticularlypatient! Great to hear you're feeling relaxed. That is the dream!

So I'm only at cd10 (I think!) and feeling like I'm ovulating early. I have opks in so I might check but ewcm in abundance and I've got the horn 😂 sure fire signs there's a peggy in the making! I do usually get this for a few days though.

We saw the docs a couple of days ago as well and he was super lovely. He pointed out that as we have conceived twice before and we're both healthy and not overweight that we should be fine and to keep going. Stress won't help so I'm working on that and shifting that last stone. And we've both pledged to exercise more. I'll be having the day 1-5 and day 21 blood tests next cycle though. If I need to that is!

Hope everyone's ok xx

ArchiesMamaBird · 18/08/2017 21:24

Magpie so lovely to hear from you! I can totally understand why you would be feeling anxious, but as the weeks go on the odds will get better and better for you. I'm wishing you a smooth and uneventful final 30 weeks!

Hippy, Cakes & Patient hello guys! I OV a few days late this cycle, so think I'm 3dpo today and not eve thinking about it tbh. We picked up a new puppy yesterday so she's keeping me busy! She's my little replacement baby until an actual human baby comes along 😬

Well I'm 4dpo and is had the usual AF type cramps all day long, right on cue like every other month. Does anyone else get PMS symptoms this early? Drives me mad because I'm now sure that I'm out for this month, but got another 10 days to go before AF shows up. So 10 whole days knowing here's nothing I can do but wait 😩

Ladies 😘
cakes I always get horny from around cd10 onwards and most months I get ewcm - some months I get lots but this month not so much ... bloody weird it is! But i know I don't ovulate until cd14-16... so I'd say dtd as much as poss for the next wk :)) says me who usually only gets 1-2 goes in
archies I never used to get any signs of af until she arrived but this month I've been feeling a little crampy (very mild) for a wk or so ... I'm cd 25 today so 10dpo.... knicker watch starts tomorrow ... I may test in the morning as I've got some ic's ... will keep you all posted ... of course 😉
Xxx

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 06:16

archies - I think feeling cranky is a good sign because the blood must be building up and may not necessarily be af. Ok so I've not been upduffed before ... but I have been on Mn a while and lots of people including some of our grads commented that they felt af was on her way when in fact she wasn't .... So fx your wrong chic. Try and stay positive Hun ... I know it's hard - I felt out this month even before fw and I refuse to get my hopes up these days ... so I can empathise with you fully on the thinking your out before your out ... but like magpie said - we are due another Bfp :)))

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 06:16

Sorry I meant crampy not cranky lol 🤣

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 06:17

Grrrrr spell check did it again ... c r a m p y :)) not cranky
Xxx

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 06:18

Oh no it didn't - whoops wake up hippy!

ArchiesMamaBird · 20/08/2017 07:22

Hippy hehe that made me chuckle! Stupid auto correct 😬 thank you, I'm going to try and keep up the PMA but not too much because we all know how heartbreaking it is when you're convinced you're upduffed but then AF shows xx

Archies I am no medical professional (although the time I have spent trying to become one in the fertility area is quite extensiveBlush...) but as far as I understand at 4dpo your body will not know whether the egg is even fertilized, it is still on its journey down the Fallopian tube. Implantation happens at about 6-9 dpo, and during those days and after some people may experience cramping. So it is either a good sign as hippy says, or it would be down to something else. I don't know about you, but I get quite constipated at about 3-4 dpo, I think it down to the progesterone. If you have something similar - could it be due that? Or is it proper af cramping? Sorry if anyone finds this to be tmi...

In any case, I would not see this as a sign of af arriving at a later point, there is simply just no way of knowing.

I am 6dpo today, so we are cycle buddies! Although I will know whether I'm out at Thursday the latest with my ridiculous lp. Hippy you are just a few days ahead: keeping everything crossed for you!

Cakes from someone that occasionally OV on cd 26 (!!) I envy you the early ov. Although I guess what we all want is our bodies to just do it's thing on the same days every month. Hope you have managed dtd and good luck in the tww!

notparticularlypatient · 20/08/2017 08:46

And Archies your dog is absolutely gorgeous! I showed the picture to DD (turning two in October) and she was completely smittenSmile

ArchiesMamaBird · 20/08/2017 09:34

Patient thank you, you're right and thinking about it logically, there's no way it can be AF pains. It does feel more like AF cramps than bowel type cramps, but then I suppose it could always be related to my polycystic ovaries? I don't know but I'll try and remain positive for now Smile and the puppy is a right little monkey already Wink a cute one though!

Ladies it looks like there's a few of you in the 2ww - i have my fingers and toes crossed for you all!

@Archies your wee Bella is soooo cute!! 😀🐶

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 18:15

patient you're so very right - good retention! I've read all that but have heroically forgotten everything I've read about conception now! I think I pulled the plug on all my knowledge in a bid to forget all the do's and dont's ... I can't believe everyone out there getting pregnant is adhering to all those bloody rules! 😳🤣
archies meant to say - love the pup ... very cute :))

Hippychic18 · 20/08/2017 18:15

Hi moo xxx

Hippychic18 · 22/08/2017 05:32

Morning ladies ... cd27 Bfn on an ic ... i was expecting it to be honest and for the first time ever I am relieved as I'm off on holiday in just over a wk's time and I want to enjoy my holiday so it's all ok. Slightly disappointed but ever so slight 🤣
Good luck to my other cycle buddies
