Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

So sorry for those with af. BrewCake

Nice new name jam!

So a bit weird here with me. 2 days ago o completely stopped spotting and started getting creamy CM. My boobs have expanded and started hurting again. I don't know if I'm hopeful or not that this could be my month, but at least I've had some days of no blood at all, even when I ferret around, and even after having sex!

Kathrino · 05/06/2017 08:56

Like the new name Jam!

Flash new and different symptoms are always interesting and good to hear that you've had a couple of days without bleeding. FX for you.

Pretty sure I ovulated last night/this morning. Managed a GOS last night so at least we're in with a (small) chance. Has not been one of our better FW...

Lots of love to those who AF has got Flowers

florafoxtrot · 05/06/2017 09:49

Morning ladies,

Sorry I’ve been quiet of late – so much to catch up on! Work has been pretty manic and AF lasted for well over a week which was a real annoyance and of course a reminder of my TTC failures.

Well done on the promotiom Sk1pper - that’s amazing news!

Sorry to those that AF got – Otters and Basset. Make sure you hit up the painkillers Flowers

I’m about to hit the year TTC mark too Binky - it’s really tough. Have you been to your GP yet?

GL for the IVF PJs - hopefully it won’t be necessary but if so – I look forward to following your journey – don’t think we will be too far behind. Confused

So glad all the London based ladies are OK, just cannot fathom why these things keep happening. Definitely gives me a bit of perspective.

Interesting symptoms Flash and really glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped. Long may it stay away!

Hope emotions are a bit better now you’ve finished the clomid jam - really sounded like it had a really negative effect on you. Have you thought about whether you’ll take it again?

Well done on the GOS Kath - it’s not easy to keep it up month after month and it’s easy to become a sex dragon rather than a sex kitten. Not that you are a sex dragon… that’s me.

I’m heading into FW tmrw and feeling relatively positive about it all – dragon features and all. Shock We’ve got to wait another two weeks (three weeks in total) for hubby SA results and then I’ll have another 21 day blood test in a fortnights time. Hopefully once all that comes back we will have a plan of action. For now I am just going to concentrate on trying to be healthy and enjoy some sunshine – and I’m Scottish so both of these are challenging.

sk1pper · 05/06/2017 12:36

Flash - there's always hope Flash, though just to be your voice or reason those are pre-AF symptoms too. I am certain that when this actually happens for us, it will be on the cycle we least expect it. 😫

Fox - hee hee your post made me laugh. Have you seen this thing John Cleese wrote? The bit about Scotland is so funny.

Flashinthepan · 05/06/2017 12:45

I appreciate the voice of reason Skipper. I don't want to feel like the world is over if/when AF arrives so I need to stay realistic.

KerryLeanne84 · 05/06/2017 13:30

Such a horrible weekend with the attack. Hope everyone is okay!

I'm day 5 (handy starting on the first of the month) and will have my second iui this month. Went in today for the first scan and to get my drugs. Back to the hospital later to see the consultant and ask about my luteal phase.

Flashinthepan · 05/06/2017 14:44

Wishing you so much luck Kerry!

Kathrino · 05/06/2017 15:54

Good luck Kerry!

LoveRainbow02 · 05/06/2017 16:02

Best of luck Kerry.

sk1pper · 05/06/2017 16:06

Yes all the best Kerry, let us know how it all goes :)

Pyjamas81 · 05/06/2017 18:26

Good luck Kerry - have everything crossed for you.

Love the new name jam!

And 🤞🏼 for you as well kath - let the waiting begin for both of us...

Thanks for the luck flora, we'll need it!

Just did an opk and while there's still a clear line, the surge has definitely passed. Will test for a couple more days to make sure there's no double surge, but, am now in the TWW again. Feels like I spend my whole life on this infinite TTC merry go round!

harrietm87 · 05/06/2017 18:34

Good luck flash and kath and kerry!
And like the new name jam!

@AlexiaB where are you??? Hope all is well.

I'm cd8 today. Ovia has no idea what's going on as my mcs have broken her, so I'm guessing FW is next week - need to get back on the opks! Time is so draaaaaaagggggging. I need some fun things to look forward to.

Jamon · 05/06/2017 18:50

Fx flash

Kathrino is this one of your last tries before IVF? I can't remember if you were pushing the intervention button yet

Flora I'm ashamed to say that I think I will take it again 😔 it had an awful effect on me but I'd still rather give myself any extra boost I can, I think. Ugh I wish I didn't want this so much. Glad you're feeling positive, it is good having a plan 👍🏼

Good luck Kerry

With you on the merry go round pyjamas, I opened an OPK earlier and tested so efficiently it's like I've been doing it all my life. So over it! 😩

DH saw one his oldest mates today and confided in him re us and how long we've been trying. Said mate has a 6 month old? And said how sorry he was and tough it must be. It made me feel more sorry for us having someone else feel sorry for us, if that makes sense?! Proper pity party over here. I'm just glad that he's talking to friends as I do worry about how he's coping

AlexiaB · 05/06/2017 19:35

Thanks for the tag harriet I got an email through Smile I'm so sorry I fell off the thread girls. I knew I had no hope last cycle so I wanted to chill out and try to forget ttc for a bit. I'm CD2 today and AF was a killer yesterday but I'm feeling better today. I've been totally bogged down preparing dh's visa renewal too. It's just so much work, stress and money. We're in a bit of a rush now because the Tories want to increase the NHS surcharge we have to pay by 3x if they're elected next week. Great! If we apply and it's not perfect, his visa will be returned "invalid" and dh would have to leave (again) and apply from his home country which would absolutely KILL me, our ttc chances and also our businesses as without him I have no chance of handling things here on my own. I'm so stressed I could cry! Any random EU citizen with ZERO links to any person in the UK can just waltz in here whenever they like and have more rights here than my own husband of 6 years (on Friday). Seems fair, right? Hmm

Glad to hear all you lovely London ladies are safe. My brother was caught up in it and was running for his life with his friends. They jumped into a cab to escape. As soon as I saw it on the news I messaged him as I knew he'd be out in that area. He didn't reply for 20 mins and I was panicking. Luckily he's fine. The frequency of these disgusting terror attacks is terrifying.

Right, going to have a quick catch up from memory. Apologies to those I miss.

I was so sorry to read of your painful loss Kaydee. There's something extra cruel about an ectopic loss that no woman should ever have to ensure. Your positivity is inspiring, hope you're ok Flowers

Lisa I'm so sorry for your loss too. Thinking of you Flowers

Flash glad you've had a break from the bleeding for a few days. Can't even begin to imagine how upsetting it is for you. Definitely push for further investigation with the GP.

Good luck with your IUI Kerry, that seems to have come around fairly quickly. Hope they prescribe you for progesterone so you at least make it to your beta this time.

Jam sorry to read things haven't been great between you and dh Flowers This ttc malarkey is beyond stressful and really takes its toll on every aspect of our lives. Glad he's talking to his friends. Hope your egg hangs around until he's home.

Good luck this tww PJs - hope you won't need IVF but it's great you have a plan.

skipper congrats on your promotion, that's brilliant news! Your wedding has come around so quickly too. I'm sad you didn't get on with the Mooncup. Maybe you didn't need to cut the whole stem off?

Binky hope it's not an anovulatory cycle but rather late O. Reaching a year sucks :(

Welcome to all newbies, I recognise some new names 👋

Good luck to anyone testing soon and those hitting FW.

LoveRainbow02 · 05/06/2017 20:34

Feeling rather down tonight 😔. Af was due and still no sign. Starting to worry about my cycles now. Ever since my miscarriage I have only had 1 cycle on time. I'm usually every 28 days like clockwork and can even pinpoint it to the hour it usually comes lol!

First cycle was 31 days following mc
2nd cycle was 28 days
3rd cycle was 40 days
4th cycle is still to make an appearance!

Would you think it's worth visiting my gp to discuss this? It's already been extremely hard for me to conceive without my cycles now having a mind of their own.

I start IUI in roughly 2 months time and I'm just scared my irregular cycles are going to have a negative effect on my treatment.
Ttc is definitely is not easy!

AlexiaB · 05/06/2017 21:05

Rainbow I'm sorry for your loss. I'm assuming your IUI will be medicated so it's likely you'll O nice and early in your cycle and therefore have a 'normal' cycle length. What CD are you on now?

LoveRainbow02 · 05/06/2017 21:08

Alexia I think it will be medicated. Still waiting on my appointment to discuss this with my consultant before treatment starts. I'm only on cycle day 28 but I just don't want to face another irregular month 😔.

AlexiaB · 05/06/2017 21:27

Rainbow did you not track O this cycle? That would have given you more of an insight as to when to expect AF. Worth doing it next cycle maybe to save you this stress. Well I hope af shows up soon or better yet, you get a bfp!

LoveRainbow02 · 05/06/2017 22:05

I ovulated between 23rd-25th may. I find tracking o to be more stressful lol. Got a bfn this morning so I'm sure it's just a late cycle.

Anaconda33 · 05/06/2017 22:33

Lh surge Sunday, boyfriend back from working overseas, tried and failed to DTD. Is there any viablity in tom working?

Otherwise that's it for another 47 days

😰😰😰😰😰😰😰

Jamon · 06/06/2017 08:30

Good to see you alexia glad you're doing okay, sorry that AF got you. Are you continuing with the femara? Thank goodness your brother is alright. That must have been a long 20 minutes for you.

Rainbow its definitely something I would bring up with the gp. Try not to worry too much, I know it's hard. I hope you aren't waiting much longer - or that it's a hiding BFP.

Ana if the surge was Sunday then you have 48 hours I believe, then your egg is around for 24 hours - so I think it would be worth it today if you can

Jamon · 06/06/2017 08:41

Bloody hell we're full!
