Mimosa, I wouldn't put your money on me! lol... I just don't feel this is the month... temps are dropping and cramps are picking up... here comes AF I think... we'll have to reconvene in a few weeks time!

BlueSkies87 · 03/04/2017 07:55

Sorry to hear you've been so emotional Lisara and Stef. Some days it all just gets a bit much doesn't it?! Mimosa, I think AF will turn up for me tomorrow too, if not today. My BBT had fallen this morning and I just feel like AF is on her way. I feel ok about it, but I know DH will be so disappointed. I think he is more than ready to be a Dad. I am starting to think about next cycle already too. Need to up my exercise and improve my diet. Won't be easy as May is my most stressful month at work, but if I keep exercising I am hoping it will lower my anxiety a bit.

xStefx · 03/04/2017 09:04

Morning, I was bored in work this morning (I start early) and did some reading up on the Agnus Cactus ive been taking. Thought I would share it as I thought it was quite interesting: However, it does say NOT to take it once pregnant and Not to take it if having IVF as interacts with IVF drugs .. But see what you think anyway (as its been mentioned on the thread once or twice I think) .... Just for light reading :-) lol

"Taking Agnus Castus has been found to improve women’s chances of conceiving. Firstly, the herb – also known as Vitex, Chasteberry and Monk’s Pepper - inhibits prolactin, a hormone released by the pituitary gland which can cause infertility if the body produces average amounts. Secondly, it has been found to increase progesterone. This hormone tells the womb to grow a lining, the endometrium, in which the embryo can implant.

For women experiencing irregular periods which may make conception difficult, Agnus Castus has also been found to normalize and regulate menstruation. Not only this, agnus castus is a traditional herbal medicine used to relieve the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) including menstrual cramps, bloating and breast tenderness."

Hi all... Stef, that sounds really interesting... I may invest in some, and try to look at my diet and exercise like you blue, especially as AF turned up about an hour ago... hmph... so I am out this month... I knew logically that it was going to and that this may take some time but why is it so disappointing?? Ah well... next month here we come.

xStefx · 03/04/2017 10:29

It is disappointing isn't it, but I bought myself a bottle of wine to cheer myself up :-)

I start a new step class this week too!

So along with the Agnus Cactus, My new step class and new 3 times per week plan.. Im hoping for some good news next month lol x

lisara79 · 03/04/2017 10:33

I'll have my fingers crossed for all of us.... once we have final news from everyone... maybe we should start a new positive "let's conceive in April" thread... leave the disappointment of this month behind... except for the success of Grumpy.

xStefx · 03/04/2017 10:38

Good idea :-)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/04/2017 12:22

Aww guys fingers crossed for many more BFPs soon!! X

BlueSkies87 · 03/04/2017 12:41

Sorry to hear AF has arrived Lisara. No matter how rationally you think about it I think we all hang onto that little thread of hope until she arrives. I am 99% sure I'm not pg but will still be disappointed when AF rears her ugly head! And then I have to tell DH which is just as bad. But fresh start for next cycle and we've got things to focus on to improve the odds! Your research sounds really interesting Stef. I may need to invest! We need to stay positive. I think a new thread sounds great. I'll let you know when I'm out! Xx

lisara79 · 03/04/2017 13:34

Ah well... it will happen eventually, for all of us.... telling OH is never fun... he always feels like it's his issue somehow.

BlueSkies87 · 03/04/2017 14:37

Completely agree Lisara. The word 'failure' was used this morning by DH. Had to point out that that sort of talk just isn't helpful! AF isn't even here yet!

littlemimosa · 03/04/2017 14:57

So sorry Lisara. I so had my hopes pinned on you! Sounds like we all have good plans to move forward.
Stef the info on agnus castus is v interesting. Think I might look into it. Thanks for that.
So is it just me, Rose and Blue to report in over the next two days then we can indeed reconvene on another thread?

Jords0105 · 03/04/2017 15:53

Im testing on Wednesday. That will be 7Dpo which is a bit early but worth a go :)

goldielocks29 · 03/04/2017 18:49

Testing on Wednesday (if I can hold out that long!) I'll be 12dpo then but I doubt I'll be able to hold out much longer! 😬

RhiBee29 · 03/04/2017 20:21

Just waiting on AF to show up. Good luck to everyone testing and having the willpower to resist!

BlueSkies87 · 03/04/2017 20:38

Did a spur of the moment POAS today (couldn't resist) and got a BFN, as suspected. Am sure AF will come tomorrow. Fx for those testing soon xx

littlemimosa · 04/04/2017 07:03

AF arrived in the night. Feeling ok about it. I'm looking at the positives. Main one being that my cycles are so regular at my advanced (fertility) age. It gives me hope that I can still conceive if I'm having regular cycles right? !
Sorry to hear you got a bfn Blue. We've not had a high success rate on here have we! How are you feeling about it?

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 04/04/2017 08:45

Anyone else due to test Thursday? I tested yesterday and got a bfn. And wonder if it was too rarely or if I'm out

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 04/04/2017 08:57

If I have two days to go before test day is it pointless doing a frer in the day after fmu as I don't have any and would need to buy one?

xStefx · 04/04/2017 11:52

Hey mim, :-( about your A/F
I agree with you, I have regular cycles too and positive OPK's so am telling myself it will happen and to stop stressing. Goodluck Goldielocks for tomorrow and mama don't rule yourself out just yet.
xx

goldielocks29 · 04/04/2017 12:20

Stef you may have seen on some other posts but I totally lost all self control and caved and tested! Got my BFP but feeling very very cautious!

Good luck all! Xx

xStefx · 04/04/2017 13:26

Ah wow Goldilocks that's brilliant :-) Congrats

BlueSkies87 · 04/04/2017 18:17

Aw mim Sad. Sorry to hear AF arrived but you are right to be positive. It will only be a matter of time I'm sure. I'm still waiting for AF. I'm feeling ok about things but have cried about 5 times today so hormones are obviously running wild! Poor DH! Congratulations Goldilocks. So nice to have some good news on the feed. Xx

LunaNightSky · 04/04/2017 18:52
