Good luck with testing WLMcl.

TurquoiseDress · 14/03/2017 06:02

Hi Bertie
I feel your frustrations!

Cannot believe it's almost a year since the excitement of our unexpected BFP!

But it also makes me sad as it means if I don't become pregnant this cycle (number 9 I think?!) in the next couple of weeks, then that's it for 2017.

Plus I'll be heading towards the big 4-0 which is crazy.
I've been ready for baby number 2 since I was 36. DH took a lot of convincing to agree to try this time last year, wish we'd just got on with it 2 years ago! Angry

The year has hardly even begun although time feels like it has been flying by!

Hi Ladies

I'm out this time. AF not here but found out with other pregnancies already and I just know as get a lot of symptoms. Good news though, yesterday my referral letter from St Mary's recurrent miscarriage unit came through- first appointment mid April. We're going to stop ttc for now as they can't do their initial investigations if you're pregnant.

Wishing you all the best of luck, thank you for the support. See you in August.

X

WLMcI · 14/03/2017 08:45

Aaaaand it's a no from me (this month)! It's not such a bad thing for us as we haven't been actively trying. The EPU nurse did recommend not ttc until after the first cycle, partly due to the possibility of blood clots still hanging around. The first AF should clear them out, whereas if I had been pregnant and suddenly blood clots appeared, it would have frightened the life out of me. So on to enjoying DH's birthday with a glass of Wine on Thursday, and to await the joys of AF! Confused

peachgreen · 14/03/2017 09:54

Hi all, I'm an oldie with a new name (discovered some people from my real life had been chatting about my posts, awkward). TTC on cycle 6 post-MMC back in October. Currently halfway through the 2WW and not feeling positive.

Fluff, I'm so, so sorry for what you're going through. You must be absolutely devastated. I really hope your DP is supporting you, I know you two have felt differently in the past but hopefully he sees that you need him now.

fluffiny31 · 14/03/2017 10:17

He can't get his head around how i was pregnant on sat but not now. Although i haven't started mc yet. I know he won't let me try again because he's already said that. The weird thing is I don't feel like I'm going to miscarry. I know that's stupid as my bloods say it all. But all cramping i had stopped Sunday i haven't had anything since. I haven't started bleeding yet which i thought i would of with bloods that low. I've been googleing how long it should take to bleed and it just comes up with lost twin syndrome. Not helpful. Has any of you had such low bloods but took a while to start bleeding. They went from 77 to 20 in 2 days.

ZylaB · 14/03/2017 20:10

Been thinking today and I've basically been either ttc, pregnant, breastfeeding, ttc, pregnant, had mc, ttc, pregnant, had mc, ttc since Nov 2013.
Ttc isn't relaxing as I'm diabetic and have to be super tight in sugar control. I so feel like I need a break and to actually relax, but we don't have time sad. We've said we will ttc for 3 cycles and then rethink..

Crazyvaperlady · 14/03/2017 21:47

Hi ladies hope everyone is OK... CD15 here and still no ovulation :( normally ovulate on CD10/11. Is this normal after a chemical and MC?

harrypotternerd · 14/03/2017 21:51

hi everyone, I has MC last week, tentatively joining. My dr said we can start trying again straight away. I read that you are more fertile after a MC is this true?

peachgreen · 14/03/2017 23:17

harry, for some ladies it's true, for others it's not. No real rhyme or reason to it unfortunately. Start when you feel ready.

WLMcI · 15/03/2017 07:33

Crazy it seems anything is normal in the first cycle after mc! AF is running quite late for me, and yet I had a BFN yesterday (hence I'm guessing I ovulated late as well).

harrypotter welcome, and sorry about your mc. It's a very hard thing, and although physically it's OK to start ttc right away (for most women), make sure you're emotionally ready! We haven't even been ttc this cycle, but I had a BFN yesterday and it hit me harder than I expected it to, probably because it's only been a little over a month since mc and it's a grieving process. My EPU told me to wait a cycle before ttc--people on here say this is for ease of dating if you do become pregnant. But my EPU nurse also warned I could have clotting in my next period as the uterus finishes clearing itself out (I had a natural mc at 10 weeks), so that's part of the reason for advising me to wait too, I think. It's different for everyone as far as fertility, though!

fluffiny31 · 15/03/2017 08:15

Fingers crossed for you zyla
Crazy i ov 3 weeks after my surgery
Harry sorry you are joining us and sorry for your loss. I got caught straight away but unfortunately for me I'm waiting to mc again. Everyone is different do what you feel is right for you.

NicolaC17 · 15/03/2017 08:49

Crazyvapeady - I ovulated on CD 17 after my miscarriage / chemical lady cycle which is late for me as I'm usually CD14. My cycle ended up being 33 days so 5 days longer than usually. Last month I got back to CD15 and currently on CD12 so hoping I ovulate on the 14th again.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/03/2017 10:26

How's everyone today? fluff, how are you doing, any signs?

harry it was true for me. I was pregnant twice in 6 weeks last summer, had an early mc and conceived again 10 days after I stopped bleeding. Sadly that ended in a mmc, but I still conceived. Doesn't work for everyone and if it doesn't happy for you don't worry, loads of people take a while for their cycles to settle down after a loss and to get another bfp. Really just depends. Good luck.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/03/2017 10:28

WLM, it sucks, sorry you had a tough day. Still no af though?

Zyla, you must be exhausted, and superwoman! Not sure how you've done it all to be honest. It sounds good to have a time frame in mind and agreed between the two of you. Just see how you go.

peachgreen · 15/03/2017 11:07

Anne, how are you doing? Where are you in your cycle now? I'm in the dreaded 2ww - can test on Monday. Absolutely NO signs whatsoever but then I had tons of signs last month and was completely convinced I was pregnant so I've learned not to symptom-spot! On the bright side we just bought a house so that's a good distraction and has definitely made the 2ww more bearable.

Zyla I really feel your pain. TTC is tough, especially when you have to be careful with diet etc. And it's even harder when you feel you're on a deadline so can't take a break. Every month that goes by feels scarier and scarier.

Harry I posted and ran last night but wanted to say that I'm really sorry for your loss. This thread is a godsend, honestly - it's massively helped me through my miscarriage and the subsequent TTC woes. You're very welcome. Also it took my cycles a couple of months to settle down - they went 26 days, 35 days, 33 days, then back to 30 days as normal (for me).

WLM I hope AF turns up soon (as you've not been TTC I assume it would be a good thing to get AF over and done with) and it's not too heavy. My first period post-miscarriage (MMC, had an ERPC) was slightly more painful but nothing crazy.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/03/2017 11:29

Finished af at the weekend peach and despite being gutted at the time I need a month off. Feel free to remind me of that if it takes ages to conceive again!

But my panic about the whole thing has faded a little bit. Still got a big grey cloud of uncertainty longer term, even ever hopeful DH now says he hopes we'll get our baby rather than he knows we will.... But he's right to be cautious at this stage in the game.

I had every single symptom going with my last cycle, I was shocked when af showed, absolutely floored. But looking back at when I knew before bfp last year, twice, I knew because I was sure af wouldn't show. The rest of the symptoms landed a week or two later.

You got the house!!!!!!!!!!! That's absolutely amazing, so so happy for you, what awesome news Grin Fx for you for more good news next week.

peachgreen · 15/03/2017 11:55

Anne Thank you so much! Still subject to survey so fingers crossed but it's looking more and more likely and we love it. Plus it needs loads of work so gives us a project to focus on that isn't baby-making! I keep reading stories of women who got pregnant as soon as they moved house, as if their bodies had gone "right, we're all settled, let's get to it" - hopefully that will happen to us too!

I think saying "it WILL happen" can add quite a lot of pressure. Certainly for me it's easier to say "I hope it will happen, but if not plan B is X". Not sure what my plan B is exactly yet but we're working on it! My DH is such a wonderful comfort and it sounds like yours is too.

Miami81 · 15/03/2017 12:39

Congrats peach. Great news on the house.
I am in the tww as well. Aiming not to test until 23rd which would be 28 day cycle (longer then normal 26 day) so if I am honest with myself not sure I will get past Tuesday without testing. I hate this bit.

peachgreen · 15/03/2017 12:52

Thanks Miami. Let's try and keep each other strong! I really regretted testing early last month.

AmyL88 · 15/03/2017 13:33

Hi All,

Finally changed my name (Previosuly User.....) Only taken me about 3 months!!

Fluff i am so sorry to read your news, how are you doing? Any update?

My AF still hasn't shown up, i have been referred for a scan but the waiting time is 3 weeks...Blood tests done but waiting on results!

I am starting to think I may have had a chemical 2 weeks ago, just adds up as i deffo had 2 positive preg tests and then spotting then bamm a BFN. So that's a ERPC and chemical in the space of 6 weeks..argh!! Really just want my body to be back to normal now. According to Ovia i am coming up to my fertile window but as i haven't had an actual period since the MMC then not sure what to think.

Hope everyone is having a good day x

fluffiny31 · 15/03/2017 17:06

Anne nothing. I don't get it because with bloods that low id of expected to have started bleeding by now.

BertieBotts · 15/03/2017 17:11

Hmm odd, fluff. If nothing has happened in a couple of weeks maybe go and ask for a scan in case of any risk of infection.

I think I've ovulated so am in the 2ww with period due by the end of the month.

keeponrunning85 · 15/03/2017 17:17

Miami I think we're on similar ish time scales. AF is due around the 25th. I'm desperately trying not to symptom spot, and largely failing. I'm determined not to test early even though I have a test in the house. Normally it is not having a test that stops me! I also hate this bit.

fluff have you done another home test? I'm just thinking that if your levels were already down to 20 and presumably still dropping as long as you don't use a FRER or similar it should be negative. As rubbish as it would be to have to see a negative test it might be helpful? How are things with OH?

halloumisandwich · 15/03/2017 18:37

Just catching up. So sorry fluffy, you must be devastated. Hope you have some supportive friends around you.
Congratulations on the house peach, so exciting to have a new project to focus on!
I'm now 3 weeks on since my MC and still trying to figure out if I've ovluated or not. I bought some cheap sticks online and have been using them once a day for the past week so I might have missed it... also trying not to symptom spot keepon and trying to work out when/if I should poas next week if af doesn't turn up, I'm not patient at the best of times!
