Well, I checked my cervix last night and it's definitely open so I suspect this isn't going to be my month. Bah.

fluffiny31 · 17/03/2017 10:22

I got mine before all 3 pregnancies but my last one i conceived the day after it had gone although i still had cm was just more waterey which i read is normal? Ewcm is the start but apparently it turns waterey the day you ov but i never noticed that before.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/03/2017 10:42

Glad I'm not the only one doing cervix poking Peach Grin

Sorry if it means you think you're out though Sad How many DPO are you now? Sorry, struggling to keep track with everyone.

I don't OPK crazy so never completely sure but I usually get ewcm and a good strong ovary stabbing pain on the same day, so I think it's at the same time. We usually dtd every day so just make sure it's proper dtd and only once over those days to keep the swimmers good ones.

I was thinking the other day that I'm sure I only used to get af cramps when I was actually on and a day of brief stabbing when I ovulated (once I came off the pill) and no feelings in there the rest of the time. These days, post pregnancies and mcs, I get stabs, cramps, the odd sensation all the naffing time. Not pain really but there's always something going on, wherever I am in my cycle.

I haven't had many cycles since I conceived in July where I haven't been pregnant or dealing with a mc/post mc cycle so maybe everything's a bit unsettled but still.... Am I more in tune with what's going on or has something changed?

I was buying mother's day cards yesterday having a tiny gripe with myself about when it's going to happen for me. I loved being pregnant and I want it back but next time for it to get me a baby at the end of it.

It's not on my mind all the time and life carries on, but since we started ttc last year it's never really gone and since my mmc, having been properly pregnant for 12 whole weeks, I just want it back!

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/03/2017 10:42

How are you getting on fluff?

fluffiny31 · 17/03/2017 11:24

Anne i totally get the feeling of missing being pregnant. Even when you get your baby in your arms you'll miss your bump. It started yesterday on the way to work really uncomfortable cramping and pains but bleeding didn't start properly until middle of the night so woke me up. I got sent home from work yesterday. I'm just tired and crampy. And a bit headachey nothing a bit of a sleep won't help sort out. (Hopefully)

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/03/2017 12:19

Glad, in a way, it's properly happening fluff, means you know it'll be over soon. Over in a horribly sad way, but the physical pain and trauma will be behind you and you can rest and heal x

Don't rush back to work.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 17/03/2017 12:22

I'm really sorry, fluff Flowers

MulderitsmeX · 17/03/2017 12:44

Swnding Flowers fluff

So i took a little break from the boards, am now in the 2ww. We only dtd 3 times last month although hopefully caught the right days. AF due next saturday so going to test monday morning.

peachgreen · 17/03/2017 13:25

Oh fluff, I'm so sorry. Hope it's all over soon. Sending Flowers

Anne, I'm 11DPO, AF due Monday. No signs of anything at the mo!

Miami81 · 17/03/2017 13:43

Hi
Just checking in. So sorry fluff.
I am maybe 8dpo and officially going batty. Have temped the last couple of mornings, with my first pregnancy I got the implantation temp dip thing at 8dpo. No sign of it at all, so think I am out for this month.
Anne only signs and twinges I used to have back in the days before mc were as you say, a bit of cramps at AF and some twingy weird pains at ovulation. Now I have them all, discharges, pains, I can actually feel my cervix opening now, stabby pains that make me convinced its implantation. Basically it annoys me so much that af pains and very early pregnancy pains are now exactly the same for me. No point symptom spotting, as there is no difference. It's a nightmare.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/03/2017 14:23

It is a nightmare Miami, and a total head scrambler. Sorry you're in the same boat. Can you feel it opening by touching it or just inside by itself?

I had no idea at all that early pregnancy was so involving till I got there. I haven't got past 12 weeks but as that's when you usually hear about it from people I wonder if things settle down after that so friends don't tend to share the awful cramps, back aches, bone numbing exhaustion, super smell, food aversion, hot flushes, copious cm, etc etc etc.

Or maybe there's so much pressure to enjoy pregnancy they don't share it anyway and everyone's in the same boat!

My Mum, who had 4 of us, exactly when planned, no losses, no drama, swears blind she never had a single symptom with any of us. She was so concerned that I was having bad back ache I had to show her stuff online of everyone saying it's normal.

She also aced labour and breast feeding, so should I ever get to those parts I'll expect more mild disbelief at any of it being at all difficult! Bless her, she couldn't be more supportive, but she's absolutely clueless and has been incredibly naive. She didn't know missed miscarriage was a thing. I'm only grateful I did before it happened.

I'm waffling.

Sorry you're struggling x Was the counselling any good for getting your worries out or finding ways to try and process them?

fluffiny31 · 17/03/2017 15:03

Thanks guys. Sorry tmi every time I wake up i get a bit of a flood still lying down is it normal? And not many people talk about pregnancy symptoms much apart from morning sickness and boobs i found. With dd i had everything and i mean everything so was really confused getting a bfn until i went to the hospital. I had nighttime sickness really greasy skin and hair spots galore couldn't get comfy in bed restless leg night sweats food and smell aversion the list is endless even hot chocolate made me vomit haha oh and you only had to look at my boobs and they hurt. These last two were sooo different hardly any at all. But on this last pregnancy I had a couple that were there but slight. And I loved them.

keeponrunning85 · 17/03/2017 16:05

Miami tell me about it. I'm also going bonkers. Have had a really hectic week and even that hasn't stopped my mind going ten to the dozen with symptom spotting! And I'm probably only 6 or 7 DPO. I seem to have had a lot of CM these past few days but logically I know it can't have anything to do with anything at this point in my cycle. Doesn't stop me hoping though. I normally start spotting a few days before AF shows up properly so should have some kind of idea around Wednesday or Thursday next week.

fluff I'm sorry things have started but at least the limbo and waiting is over now. I hope you've got a nice weekend ahead of you.

Miami81 · 17/03/2017 18:15

Anne
I just stabby pains in cervix and know it is on the move. 2 days before AF, sometimes around Ov etc. It is weird.
Counselling was good. I somehow feel like somebody is listening to me with no motive on their part. Like when I speak to DH about it I sometimes feel like I have to stop because it is too much, too raw for both of us. And with friends and family I know they want to be supportive but they don't get it. Whereas counselling lady was just there, completely, for me. It was good. She was lovely.
Fluff
It amazed me how much flooding there was. There is a pinned post somewhere in the mc pages about coping with the practicalities, I found it a lifesaver. Hope you are coping ok. Please just reach out to us if you need to speak.
Keepon
Loads of cm here too, like to the point where I have run to the bathroom a few times. But given that this feels like first cycle back to normal I feel that may just be my new normal now, if that makes sense. Or maybe like anne says I just wasn't aware of it before.......

harrietm87 · 17/03/2017 22:04

Hi all. Sorry I've been bad at keeping up. Hope you're all doing ok, especially fluff.

So I'm cd34 today and 13dpo. Cycles are usually 31-32 days with a 12 day LP, but I ovulated a little late this cycle as it was the first one after my mc (at 5 weeks). As of today AF is definitely late.

I've been having cramps and pains in my ovaries since ovulation but no other symptoms. I'm also in Hong Kong atm so had a long haul flight the other day which could have messed things up. I really want to test but I'm afraid to! Should I go for it or hold out a couple more days??

fluffiny31 · 17/03/2017 22:15

Harriet my cycles were 28 days before, i was a week behind after my mmc i tested a day short of 5 weeks and got a bfp.

MulderitsmeX · 17/03/2017 22:45

How do you do the temp thing? I bought a thermometer but whenever I test thr result is completely different. I'm confused and think I should do it before getting out of bed?

fluffiny31 · 17/03/2017 23:17

Mulder I've never done it but one of the lovely ladies said the other day you do it when you first wake up before getting up and before eating and drinking anything. They'll help more but just incase you don't get a reply tonight.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 18/03/2017 00:50

I temp, though I've only been doing it a couple of months so I'm no expert! You absolutely do have to do it before you get up (and preferably while you're still drowsy) or it won't work. It's also best to do it the same time every day. Admittedly, this is annoying - I do slightly resent that I'll have to wake up to do it at 6.30am tomorrow because that's when I get up during the week!

Do you have an app to record and analyse the temps for you? It is perfectly possible to make do without, but it makes it much, much easier!

WLMcI · 18/03/2017 07:36

Harriet if it helps, my supermarket cheapie pg test says in the instructions that "if you have no idea when your period is due, test 19 days after unprotected sex". And let's face it, we could have up to a 6 week cycle after mc so we really don't have a clue! I think that's to account for late ovulation and takes into account the sensitivity of the particular test. There is lots of variation in pg tests so yours might have instruction in it. Good luck! xx

NicolaC17 · 18/03/2017 08:15

And so the TWW begins. Typically AF is due on 1st April (April fools) will be a joke if she arrives. Will hold off testing until then. I'm off for a run this morning and going to keep myself occupied. @mulderitsmeX - I've been tempting for about a year now and I do it first thing in the morning. I do get up though and go to the bathroom as it's too dark to read the temp and it bleeps multiple times but as long as you get routine and do it around the same time each day it will be fine. I have a clear shift after ovulation and find I have a temp dip the day of ovulation so I know usually which day I'm ovulating but it may take a few months to notice any patterns. Anyone testing soon? X

theotherendofthesockportal · 18/03/2017 08:29

Not having a great start to the day here, my sore boobs have disappeared. That's what happened to me last time the day I started to bleed 😢

fluffiny31 · 18/03/2017 08:56

Fx for you sock. Flowers

Miami81 · 18/03/2017 09:24

Oh cripes sock. I know you will have googled this but symptoms really do come and go. Try and stay positive. Flowers

Miami81 · 18/03/2017 09:27

I thought I would share something with you all that my counsellor said to me. Just in terms of where you all are in your heads. Would it be worse to have another miscarriage or never get pregnant again. My instant reaction was that it would be worse to never be preggers again. So that somehow has made me calmer about facing into ttc again. Not sure if it will help any of you, but it was like my thought for the day.
