Ha ha swimchick! It'd be helpful if someone could make a shower gel which made you feel randy!

Welcome to all the new people who've joined us recently. I hope you find some support here. I'm sad there's been so many new people needing to join these last few days. Miscarriage sucks ass.

I'm on the train to London now. DH and I managed to DTD twice this weekend. Fertile week will be well and truly over by the time we're both home late on Thursday so will just have to hope there's plenty of swimmers hanging about up there!

NicolaC17 · 12/03/2017 17:18

Good Luck keeponrunning85. I am just entering my fertile week and I don't know if it's just me but I always feel anxious hoping we can DTD enough and planning when etc. I need to try relax but it's difficult. I have acupuncture on Tuesday and she's going to give my ovaries a boost so let's hope that helps Smile

ZylaB · 12/03/2017 17:31

Checking in, 2 weeks post ERPC after second mc. Stopped bleeding but nothing showing up on ovulation tests yet. We've decided to try for 3 cycles and then rethink..

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/03/2017 20:43

Thank you for the new thread and welcome to all the new people, I'm so sorry your losses but you're in friendly understanding company here Flowers x

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/03/2017 20:48

Af seems to have, not at all bad this month.

Planning to hide ovia this cycle if I can make myself, not obsess about fw, enjoy dtd because it's fun and take a step back from the brink of crazy as much as I can.

I'm going to read more books!

Low caffeining is staying as I've found a great one. Having a proper one first thing then mostly decaf after that. It's the millicano one in a gold tin.

AGnu · 12/03/2017 21:34

It's so hard not to obsess isn't it?!

CD29 & I feel different today. It's possibly because I slept all afternoon! I was worried that my IBS was getting less because my hormones are decreasing but I'm feeling crampy again this evening. It's confusing that I'm feeling more confident about my pregnancy when I'm cramping! Confused I'm going to wait until Thurs before testing though - I'll be beyond the point I've miscarried at before by then so hopefully it'll be ok.

bumphopes · 12/03/2017 21:59

Everything crossed or you Agnu

AGnu · 12/03/2017 23:56

Talking of not obsessing... Does anyone know much about using ov tests as pg tests? I just wee'd on one because I'm waiting until the middle of next week before testing & had 2 equal strength lines after a few minutes. With the miscarriages I never had a strong positive, just lots of squinters/weak +ves but I did with both DC pregnancies. Ov tests are less sensitive than pg tests, aren't they? So, in theory, logically, if I get a decent line on an ov test I should be optimistic, right? Not that I'm obsessing... Blush

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 00:37

Supposedly yes but how many DPO are you?

OP posts:
AGnu · 13/03/2017 01:46

About 16dpo today. I should have just waited. It's reassuring to know that all my symptoms are genuine but I'm not really going to feel much confidence until I've passed the CD32 mark & even then I'll still be paranoid until the 12w scan.

minime2017 · 13/03/2017 07:19

Hi all. Thanks for the thread Bertie. Interesting to read all your stories. I'll join if you don't mind. Im in the 9th month of trying and hoping and have hit 40 this weekend. Had a chemical over New Year and nothing since. I'm convinced I had an annovulatory cycle or 2 since the chemical as the opks never got v strong. Invested in CB digital opk and had static smile last week. Awaiting some symptoms Confused

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 07:28

Oh sounds hopeful Gnu, will keep fingers crossed for you. Are you hoping for investigation into the cause of your miscarriage or just prefer to go with the flow? Because I think sometimes if you're after testing it can help to report even very early losses, it all gets you that bit closer.

Mineme have you thought about temping? It's much better for confirming whether ovulation happened because it's so easy to miss the LH surge with OPKs. Using both together is a useful double pronged attack! :)

Hi everyone - would like to join this thread for some advice, please. I've just had a chemical/early miscarriage (I'm not quite sure how to describe it - I started bleeding at 5+2, but had lost all the symptoms a few days prior and got a negative pregnancy test two days before bleeding started. I'm worried that calling it 'a miscarriage' is a bit overdramatic?). I had two days of heavy and red bleeding, and now am on day two of light, brown bleeding. We've been trying for six months so I've been temping and using OPKs for a few cycles. Im pretty regular on my ovulation/AF dates. Would you expect my cycle to proceed as normal now (with the first day of bleeding as CD 1) or should I be prepared for even such an early loss to mess around with my cycles? We were both quite upset by what happened, and I'm so hoping to get pregnant again asap.

bumphopes · 13/03/2017 08:53

Hi Lisa
Really sorry to hear this, it's really horrible. You get excited and then it's all over.

I've lost a few pregnancies now all around 5/6 weeks. And the doctor refers to them as early miscarriages/chemical pregnancies interchangeably. The consultant I saw says he uses CP for when implantation doesn't occur properly and no sac is made and uses early MC when a sac is detected. But there's so hard rule as far as I can see.

I used the first day of heavy blood as first day of 'period' and I ovulated as normal and got pregnant straight after.

I think with 5+2 if you aim to use OPKs again around the same time as before you'll see you probably not far off normal. This was my experience anyway. Xx

harrietm87 · 13/03/2017 09:27

Morning all. Don't think I've checked in on this thread yet - have been alternating between obsessing and trying to get on with my life.

I'm 8dpo today. Last cycle I had symptoms by now and had IB on 7dpo so sure I'm not pregnant again, and feeling totally gutted even though it was probably too much to hope for. Just want AF to come now so I can move on.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 13/03/2017 10:06

Thanks, bump. I use the CB dual hormone ones, so will start using in a few days as that would be normal time.

I feel like it's hard to tell how 'big a deal' such an early loss is? I've told a couple of people and they've reacted so differently - one with huge sympathy as if something really awful had happened, the other in a sort of 'oh, what an annoying thing to happen' way. I feel like a bit of a fraud even mentioning it, like I'm hijacking the experiences of women who have much more traumatic later losses, but I also don't want to act like nothing happened (with very close friends - I'm not telling acquaintances or anything!) because something did happen and it upset me.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 13/03/2017 10:07

Sorry, just realised I hadn't said how sorry I am for your losses bump - I'm really sorry that you've had to go through this multiple times.

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 10:18

Good morning ladies. Welcome to the newbies. Sorry your in this boat. Wlmcl our epu don't do early scans if you've had a mc before they only care if you have a problem.
Anne can you send a pic of the decaff. I can't find a nice one.
I'm trying to keep myself busy today back for bloods later to see what hcg is doing as they're having difficulty working out my dates even with my ov date as my levels aren't very high. What a lovely sunny day.

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 10:24

lisa a loss is a loss early or not. That was still your baby if you want to feel sad do. Sounded like a very much wanted pregnancy. My friend had to make a huge decision to terminate her pregnancy due to really serious complications it just about killed her. She had a funeral nothing massive she's had so many negative comments because she went over the top and shouldn't have had a funeral and she shouldn't consider another baby (all this from the in laws) and basically was a waste of money it makes me so mad. Because it was her baby and she can do what she pleases. People deal with things differently nobody has a right to judge.

AGnu · 13/03/2017 10:55

Both my losses happened before 5 weeks. When I mentioned "chemical pregnancies" to 2 GPs they both looked at my funny & started referring to them as miscarriages.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/03/2017 12:12

This is it fluff, really nice www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=274444994&sc_cmp=ppc--sh--msh--bg--px_%7C_shopping_gsc_%7C_all_products-_-&gclid=COPF14e509ICFeQp0wod7N8BEw&gclsrc=aw.ds

Your poor friend with such fucking insensitive family! What a bunch of heartless wankers. Angry You're absolutely right, a loss is a loss and while the physical cost is usually greater the later it happens e.g. the longer it takes to heal and yet back to normal, the emotional one varies hugely between people and pretty much anything makes sense BECAUSE IT'S HOW YOU FEEL AND YOUR FEELINGS ARE REAL. Why shouldn't she try again and have another baby?

How are you doing? x

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 12:44

Thanks Anne I've stopped drinking coffee just about because i couldn't find a nice decaff. That was my point exactly anne people are so insensitive i made her a little charm bracelet and told her to feel how she wants to feel and do what you need to do as no one has the right to tell her otherwise. I'm ok thanks will be better once I've had my bloods done and i know what's what. How are you doing?

NicolaC17 · 13/03/2017 13:44

Hi all,

So a TMI question. We are now on our first cycle TTC again after my miscarriage in January. We are awaiting results from our RMC appointment but been given the go ahead regardless. For the last two cycle I have had EWCM around 5 days before I've had confirmed ovulation. Does anyone else have this and why would I now be getting it so much earlier than when I ovulate?! I don't want to wear hubby out early in the week when it's usually the end of the week I ovulate. Thanks all.

Miami81 · 13/03/2017 14:08

Nicola
Exactly this happened to me in cycles post mc. I figured hormones were still out of whack. Are you sure you are ovulating later though?? I definitely was as I get ov cramps and also temp so knew that my ewcm was gone crazy. Went to acupuncture and first month of that they aligned. It has taken three cycles this time to get them back into alignment. Maybe try the sperm meets egg plan? It's dtd every second day and then every day for three days or something like that at ovulation. Best of luck.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/03/2017 14:28

Doing alright thanks fluff. Work is nutty, had a big manager quit and it's all gone mad! For DH has been landed right in it with a clean up job as someone else quit today! We work together, not sure if I said that before.

I usually drink Douwe Egberts for instant and find the Millicano a fair replacement. Hope you like it. I'm still on the Becks Blues as they're as good as real beer too! Good luck with the bloods, thinking of you a lot. When will you have them?

How are you doing Miami? In the 2ww? When were you back at the RMC?

I called my consultant's PA to ask for my test results from the RMC as I was ready pregnant again when we got them back so it was full steam ahead with treatment planning. She gave me a weird email and said due to data protection I need to go through legal at the Trust.

Does anyone know if I could just ask for a print out at my next appointment rather than jumping through hoops?

I know all the results came back clear but I didn't know exactly what they were testing for so want to have a full breakdown then I know what other avenues we could consider test-wise in future.
