Hello ladies Grin

Hope you don't mind my little poem...

Fingers crossed for some sticky beans this time.

Thanks so much for the advice and the reassurance about it being ok to grieve as much or as little as I want, everyone. I keep swinging between feeling like I'm overreacting and feeling like I'm not upset enough! It has only been a few days, though.

On the decaff coffee front: we have a Dolce Gusto pod machine thing, and I switched to the decaff pods a while ago. I find them pretty much indistinguishable in taste. Still searching for a really good decaff tea, though!

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 14:56

Nicola i don't track ov other than cm and ov cramps. I had ewcm for 4 days thought i ov on 3rd day due to cramps so on the 5rh day had unprotected because we were initially waiting for af but i must of ov on 5th day as got caught.

Miami81 · 13/03/2017 15:05

Anne
Yes in the tww now. Been struggling to sleep the last couple of nights so not sure i was ready yet!! Oh well.
Have a counselling session coming up on Friday and going to see elbow tonight so hopefully all good distractions. Going to try and not test until I am late, but we shall see.
Didn't realise you and DH worked together, is that how you met?
I think I am around 3dpo. I def ovulated as did my temp yesterday morning and there has been a big jump.

Miami81 · 13/03/2017 15:06

Lisa
I am on the clipper decaf tea. I like strong tea and it tastes real to me. All others I tried were very wishy washy.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 13/03/2017 15:08

Hmm, I found Clippers still too weak - so I suspect that means that the decaf tea I'm looking for just might not exist!

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 15:08

I need a new job anne maybe i could work with you Grin it's good to be busy. I should hear back today before 6. She made a right bodge job though and got blood everywhere. I have silly veins. When i went the other day i managed to spill my pee all over me this time it was blood haha. Regarding your results they should be able to give tlu a printout at the appt otherwise it will be going through the proper channels.
Lisa i have a machine too but it's just coffee pods and i get fed up of warming my milk as my milk frother has broke., Sad
Tmi I've been getting more discharge the last couple of days got a very slight tinge to it spoke to hospital she thinks it could just be pregnancy I'm hoping its not an infection or even worse something is wrong. Having a mc really makes you read into every symptom doesn't it. Oh and full of wind my tummy looks like a bouncy castle Grin

keeponrunning85 · 13/03/2017 15:23

I've found Yorkshire Tea decaff the best. I agree, whereas with coffee you don't really notice the difference sadly tea just doesn't taste quite as good.

Anne I'm afraid NHS data protection is a bit of a ball ache. You're allowed to give very little info over the phone - generally just a vague statement unless it is an emergency situation. With written info you normally have to request it in writing and then it would be up to the consultant what is released but they may be happy to give you a copy of your results in the clinic.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/03/2017 15:32

Struggling to sleep because you're stressed Miami? If so, I had the same thing. I found that week a sodding rollercoaster of all sorts of less than amazing feelings! Are you and DH able to talk any of it through? Hope the counselling is useful. And enjoy tonight! I love Elbow, the ultimate festival band.

And yes, it is how we met! Two battered divorcees. Life is better these days! Grin

Super good luck for later, please let us know fluff. Bad news she butchered you, hope you're not too bruised. I had sooooo much CM, but always white, so if it doesn't feel right def get checked out.

Thanks for the info keepon, his PA said it was my info so I could defo have it, but I'd have to email the legal people, which I shall do. Isn't it weird, it's only about the patient, why would anyone care? Is the worry someone other than the patient gets it?

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 15:36

Ewcm 5 days before ovulation is perfect, you're lucky if you get that. It means your fertile mucous is covering the whole fertile period which is great.

I'm drinking Tetney decaf tea at the moment because it's what my friend had in her cellar Grin I don't really want decaf particularly but needs must. It tastes okay if you leave the bag in.

Thanks all, I'm feeling better now then. I am tracking ovulation with OPKs and also doing temp but I had this 5 days prior last cycle and confirmed ovulation 5 days later. We weren't trying so it was fine but just worried my cycle was still a bit crazy. I'm trying SMEG plan this cycle although I've started CD9 and will do every other day and the 3 days when I have my positive Opk. I'm guessing that will cover all my fertile period.

Good Luck anyone in the TWW. Hopefully a few BFP this month and just in time to see 2017 in. Xx

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 17:17

Well it looks like no more children for me my hormones have dropped so will start bleeding soon. Gutted is an understatement. This was my last hope for my second baby.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/03/2017 17:42

Fucking hell fluff. I don't have a clue what to say as you must be heartbroken. I'm truly devastated for you Sad

The same thing happened with my bloods last month and the waiting was bloody awful. I know this pregnancy was all of your hopes and dreams and I can't believe this is happening.

Sending the biggest hug Sad

TurquoiseDress · 13/03/2017 18:05

Thank you for starting the new thread, I like the poem!

I'm so bored of this TTC malarky now, I think we're now on cycle 9 after a MMC last summer.

Baby number 2- we have a 3 year old, and would've had a 3 month old if things hadn't all gone wrong last summer.

Currently on a beach holiday, got rather excited (in my head) after being 1.5 days late but my period just started this afternoon Sad
That's about as exciting as things have got since last summer, not a whiff of a BFP!

I don't bother with testing unless my period is a good few days late- don't think I would cope with all the BFNs

I am 38 and really feel we're running out of time

At the end of this month it'll be 1 year since I fell pregnant the last time- we had sex just once in March last year and bam got a BFP in April, this was just after coming off the pill, 14 days after the withdrawal bleed started, to be precise!

I know it's normal to take 6 or 12 months or more, but once you've experienced miscarriage, you just want to be pregnant again.

Definitely feel like all my luck has run out, having had 2 unexpected pregnancies (aged 34 & 27) which each involved a one off shag with no planning or timing!

Good luck to all of you on here!

keeponrunning85 · 13/03/2017 18:06

Oh fluff I'm so sorry. Flowers

Yep that's pretty much it Anne. Although you can also pretend to be someone else in writing so who knows! To be honest, the NHS is pretty far behind the times with anything communications wise. We still send lots of things by fax and things but post. Apparently that's more secure than email?! Except you could fax it to the wrong number, the postman could open the letters, put them in the wrong door...... Anyway, that's my work related moan over!

theotherendofthesockportal · 13/03/2017 18:18

So sorry @fluffiny31 Flowers you really don't deserve this

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 19:14

Oh no fluff :( Big, big hugs.

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 19:18

Turquoise that's similar timing to us, we got a BFP in April last year as well so coming up to the one year mark. DS is 8 and I got pregnant without even trying Shock So frustrating being older and more sensible but not able to do it now.

OP posts:
swimchick1980 · 13/03/2017 19:46

So sorry fluff. Sending big hugs.

Turquoise and Bertie, I hear you on the age front. I'm the wrong side of 35 and definitely feel like I'm one of those sand timers you get in a board game. No idea when fertile period so just planning to DTD every day this week before DH his away for a week, just in case.

I've just bought a basal thermometer. Fo those who use/have used them, what am I supposed to do with it - when do you test?

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 19:52

Anne how long did it take to start bleeding? I'm on nights tomo and I'm scared. Is it like a normal period and do you get much pain? Turquoise enjoy the sunshine wish i was there. Thanks keep we have to do a secure fax where we test first but yeah the rules are very strange although they do have to respond quite quickly don't they if files are requested. Thanks ladies. I'm going to lurk here as i want to see your happy endings but think my time is now up. And that is the hardest thing about all of this. Thanks for your kind words and support ladies much appreciated. Xx

harrietm87 · 13/03/2017 20:03

So so sorry fluff. Thinking of you.

How many weeks were you? My loss at 5 weeks was just like a normal period - some cramping but not too bad, and bleeding lasted about 4-5 days. Cycle was out by a week afterwards but I did ovulate. Take care of yourself.

BertieBotts · 13/03/2017 20:05

Sorry if it wasn't clear, no age worries on my side, just the timing thing but obviously the gap is getting bigger and bigger.

With the basal thermometer keep it by your bed, take your temperature when you wake up before you get up or eat or drink anything. I keep my phone by my bed too so I can quickly enter it into fertility friend but if you don't want to have your phone there you can write it down on a notepad and put it into the program later.

It's worth noting that although Ovia allows you to track temperature it does absolutely nothing with the information, so you might want to choose another app if that's what you're currently using. I think all of the others do use it so no idea why Ovia doesn't.

I had my bloods done weds (60), fri (56), and sun (54) and then had bad backache and felt rough the next weds (I was 5 weeks that day) so went home and started the Thursday morning. Lasted 5 days, was heavier than a normal period these days though I used to have heavier ones (period heaviness is so subjective) was using nighttime pads and it was heavy but not that clotty. It was much more painful than I'd expected but not a patch on the one before which was later and mmc. I used paracetamol and ibuprofen and was okay on that but I couldn't go to work. Was sore and shattered so slept a lot.

I don't want to scare you because it really wasn't that bad. But I had an early one last year and it wasn't really painful, bleeding lasted 5 days but not heavy and I worked through it fine so I was surprised at how much worse this last one was.

Buy pads and painkillers, line up childcare if you can and ask the EPU for more painkillers if you need them. You can put codeine on top of the others if you need to.

You'll probably be fine when it starts but the waiting is the fucking worst. I was in limbo and tbh kept telling myself it was all a mistake, AS IF it was going to happen to me again.

The backache for me was the sign and I was so tired.

Keep talking here, we're all here for you and I'm so so sorry x x x

fluffiny31 · 13/03/2017 20:38

Well my bloods dramatically dropped from 77 to 20. In 2 days but my cramping stopped yesterday eve and today my pg symptoms have been stronger. Not sure on how far gone i am i think about 5 weeks as surgery was 6 weeks ago. I've got other staff with me so if push comes to shove I'll just leave work it's just awkward because i work in people's homes. And i feel bad taking more time off work. My sis has been trying to keep me positive by saying that it has been known for bloods to drop then go back up as your body gets use to the pregnancy. But it doesn't help. Although I had a positive feeling for a change.

WLMcI · 13/03/2017 21:21

fluff I'm really sorry Sad We'll keep on hoping for you until it's all confirmed.

purplesmiler Any news? I seem to remember you were testing today! Hope it was a good one Smile
I'm at CD32 and I've got the pg test all lined up in the bathroom for tomorrow morning...those about to test, we salute you! (bumphopes you too!)

Miami81 · 13/03/2017 23:25

Fluff
I am so, so sorry for you. I am hoping for a miracle for you, but here to hold your hand through the practicalities if it comes to that.
