Hi @Mammabear4

I think cramps/twinges are normal in early pregnancy. My friend who is currently 12 weeks has had these a lot and nothing bad has happened to her. I can imagine after a MC you are slightly more aware of any pains etc especially if you have symptoms - feeling sick is always a good sign!!

I have a 4 yo and also have had a MMC at 12 weeks earlier on in the year. Since the MC all the doctors i have seen have said because I have had a healthy child and healthy pregnancy the odds are in my favour for another healthy one x HUGS x

BertieBotts · 27/04/2017 13:07

Mamma you have great chances, try not to worry. Miscarriage is surprisingly common and it doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong with you to have caused it. It could have just been one of those things. You have to have had three miscarriages to be considered recurrent, one or (much less often) two are fairly normal occurrences, it's just people don't often talk about it, so your chances of having a healthy pregnancy this time around will be totally normal. IIRC your chances of having two MC in a row are really low like 4%.

There is a nice support thread for ladies pg after miscarriage too when you're ready for it :) I think it's in Pregnancy.

Ladies can I ask, if you use Ovulation tests, which ones do you use?

Doublechocolatetiffin · 27/04/2017 15:20

I use the one step ones from Amazon because they are cheap. I can't tell you if they work yet though as I've yet to get a positive result.

AnneLovesGilbert · 27/04/2017 16:24

I feel like absolute shite Sad

Can't breathe, shivery, sore lower back, achy neck and shoulders, massive boobs which hurt when my arms touch the sides, crampy lower tummy.

Wishing the hours away and desperate for my bed.

Rage has given way to pathetic self pity! Grin

Hotpinkangel19 · 27/04/2017 16:30

One step.... they definitely work!

lookatthemoon · 27/04/2017 17:03

I use the Clear Blue one (not the dual hormone ones which are a bit crap). Pretty regular with O so I only use 3/4 a month so a box usually lasts ages.

Miami81 · 27/04/2017 17:19

Oh anne I really feel for you. Our bodies are funny mean bitches sometimes aren't they.
Hopefully all these super intense symptoms are a good sign.
My hcg came back really good, still spotting though so really struggling to believe it.
Mamma I am on the being positive when pregnant after miscarriage thread and the ladies are super supportive and have been through it all. I think I am similar dates to you currently (5+2) and I am so crampy I keep expecting full on massive period any minute now. I have NO other symptoms, other then brown spotting, which is driving me insane.
I will try to stay positive though. My boobs aren't even slightly sore. My hcg is 11,000 ffs, is my body immune to the hormones or what???

mammabear4 · 27/04/2017 17:34

Thank you to everyone who has replied I feel a lot more reassured but still getting strong twinges enough to make me go "ooh" and it's probably going to worry me until I can see everything is absolutely fine on a scan. Feels like a long wait. That sounds great @Miami81 I'll join! I'm only 3+6 I tested positive super early!
Thanks again everyone 😊 Xxx

LisaSimpsonsbff · 27/04/2017 22:24

Sorry you're feeling so ill, Anne. And sorry that you're going through such a worrying time mamma.

I use the clearblue dual hormone ovulation tests, which I like (and have always found to work well for me). They are v expensive, though!

I went for my blood test to check my thyroid this morning. I'm normally fine with needles but it took the nurse a couple of attempts to find a good vein and I could feel myself getting all sweaty!

BertieBotts · 27/04/2017 23:12

Test week update - more spotting today but still brown and scanty so I think I will test again with FMU.

I should probably have started temping again when I got back so I could see the dip/rise.

If I do test positive this month my due date will be new year's eve! Shock That will be fun as here in Germany they go absolutely nuts for NYE, fireworks in the streets for hours, totally mad! Would be fun to be pregnant or have people here waiting for the birth :o

Good luck Bertie. Fingers crossed for you.

lookatthemoon · 28/04/2017 09:12

Great start to the day when a pregnancy app you can't really bring yourself to delete notifies you about how far along in your pregnancy you are (or not).

lookatthemoon · 28/04/2017 09:15

Bertie - fx all goes according to plan and you have the first baby in Germany of 2018!

Glitterbug76 · 28/04/2017 09:23

Hiya I'm sorry to go off the subject but has any one tried accuputure ?? I was trying for 2 years and got pregnant within 2 months , I'm now trying again after miscarriage and got polycystic ovaries and fibroids starting seeing accuputurist again ...

Miami81 · 28/04/2017 09:28

Glitter
I have been having acupuncture. I really like it. I firmly believe that it is what got my cycle back on track after first mc, got pregnant first cycle on acu but unfortunately lost that one as well. Have kept it up, I feel that it has really helped my periods since that second mc. Hope all goes well for you.

BertieBotts · 28/04/2017 09:37

I think I have to stop buying ICs, they always get this little shadow which makes me hopeful but I think if it was really positive I wouldn't get squinters for 4 days running. Boo. Should have stocked up on Superdrug tests afterall.

Glitterbug76 · 28/04/2017 09:47

Thank you glitter
My accuputurist at the min is also a midwife, this is the first time I've been on mumsnet to post anything since my miscarage.
Nichola c17 it's the same at my work and family / freinds every one Is pregnant ! An some on their 3 that they say laughing wasn't planned !! I was speaking to my accuputurist last night and I said to her I
Wander if people who've experienced a miscarage ( I know I do ) think I will just not conceive again / will never get pregnant . I know some one who had multiple miscarages had Ivf to get pregnant with their first and then even in their 40s went on to conceive naturally. I never take any thing for granted I know my daughter is a gift from god but she's nearly 7 and asked me for a brother sister like every one else has got , think it was when they were doing the sibling photos at school. I just don't think
It's going to happen I'm 40 have polycystic ovaries and fibroids ,
But I just wanted say wishing you all so much love and luck and baby dust

emwithme · 28/04/2017 09:50

Just catching up with this thread - lovely to see so many BFPs. AF is due at the weekend (Saturday if my cycle has reverted back to its usual 26 days, Monday if it's 28 days). Been feeling pukey and awful the past few days - did a FRER yesterday morning and BFN but it may well be a little too early. Agreed with DH to test again Saturday (although if I can stretch it out to Sunday I may well do chances of that happening are slim to none, if I'm honest )

If anyone has a time machine, I'd be really grateful. I'd just like to nip to next week, I can nip straight back once I check whether I'm on or not Grin

halloumisandwich · 28/04/2017 11:08

Sorry you're feeling poorly anne, I hope it's a good sign for you, they say your immune system is lower in pregnancy right?
AF is finally here for me! I'm just grateful to get it over with now after 8 days of 'WTF?', and feeling positive that this will be our month.

On a side note, I started taking the pregnacare conception vitamins a few days ago (I'd been on cheaper ones before but ran out and thought hey, it's worth a go) and only when I was taking it this morning did I see that it says to take on a full stomach?! I'd been taking them first thing, about 2 hours before I eat breakfast! Whoops. I'm sure the rest of you have probably read the label, but thought I'd share just in case.

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/04/2017 11:47

Fx for you Bertie, sorry about af halloumi, so disappointing when you're sure this is the month!

em, waiting sucks, try and keep as busy and distracted as you can!

Sorry for your loss Glitter, you're among friends here. And your acupuncturist sounds great.

When do you get your results Lisa, sorry the test was a bit grim.

lookatthemoon, it's so painful, so sorry Flowers

What awesome HDG levels Miami! So pleased. Wishing you sore boobs! Grin

Feeling a bit better today, still fed up and wishing the weekend wasn't so full of fecking plans. Eating like a horse which means I can't actually be ill!

Got a bfn today, but not due till Tuesday so I'll give it a couple more days.

Didn't realise you were in Germany bertie, I love how global we are here!

BertieBotts · 28/04/2017 12:20

I think I'm out TBH. It would have been quite rare this month anyway because I was away and timing wasn't great.

Sigh. Onto next month? I might join one of the buses again as well...

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/04/2017 12:39

Still no proper af though Bertie?

Doublechocolatetiffin · 28/04/2017 13:19

So sorry for your loss Glitter it's horrible when everyone around you seems to be pregnant. I'm finding it so difficult, a mixture of pain and sense of why not me too. It's a lovely thread this though and loads of support.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Anne hopefully keeping busy over the weekend will keep you occupied and stop you thinking about testing!

I think quite a few of us would jump on that time machine with you Emwithme I'm still getting a bfn but no sign of af yet. I swear this is the longest week in the world!!
