Welcome to our third thread on PCOS. What we don't know isn't really worth knowing. We're a friendly bunch of women who have a few things in common. We all have either PCOS or unexplained infertility and we're all on a mission for a BFP!!!!

For new members, and old alike here are the links to our 1st and 2nd threads:

Thanks so much for that. I'll see how things lie after about 6 weeks then and maybe have another chat with GP for a referral.

I'm sorry, now you mention it I remember your early MC. Very wise to wait a bit, but yes test before christmas so that you know before then. FX for you, and thanks again Xmas Smile

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/12/2016 20:28

Just met my friends baby for the first time. He's so small and adorable Xmas GrinXmas SmileStar

NeverGoOutOfStyle · 06/12/2016 20:46

Aww that's lovely boggle. My friend just became an auntie today and she's so excited to go and meet the baby.

CD11 here today, after my two shorter cycles (29 days and 33 days) I am expecting it to be about the same, but as always, who really knows! Had some spotting/bleeding today (TMI, but brown) so feel a bit concerned by it as I feel a little cramp-y too.

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/12/2016 22:20

Do you normally spot around cd11 never? Keep an eye.

Cd5 here. AF has gone and got one more lot of clomid to take tomorrow and then it's a waiting game for my scan next Wednesday...

amy, any news? Is it test day tomorrow? Has AF made any signs?

NeverGoOutOfStyle · 06/12/2016 23:39

Boggle I've literally never had spotting other than when I was pregnant, around the time of implantation and just before I started to miscarry, so it's really quite strange! Promised myself to relax this month, no OPK's or symptom spotting, just sort of letting it be, and DTD EOD, but apparently my body is like 'No. Look at ME!' haha.

How are you feeling with the Clomid?

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/12/2016 08:28

Might be worth having it checked if it's not usual? Cd11 seems quiet early for anything?

Clomid is fine although I keep waking drenched in sweat in the night. 12:50am I woke up dripping, not very nice!

satsooma · 07/12/2016 10:46

Is CD23 (8dpo) too early for sore boobs to be a good sign?

SummerHopin · 07/12/2016 13:29

Ooh Satsooma, it could be a sign. Did you have early signs last time?

SummerHopin · 07/12/2016 13:33

AFM, today I am feeling more calm and hopeful than I have done in a long time. It might be the fact that we now have a plan, or that DH has been amazing through all this, but it feels good.

.....it may also be because today I learnt that both Victoria Beckham and Jules Oliver have PCOS - and look at how many babies they had!! That made me smile :)

There is hope ladies, so hang in there everyone! Flowers

FluffyEwok · 07/12/2016 13:40

Sore boobs can signify high progesterone which can be pregnancy or succesful ovulation!

Elly1685 · 07/12/2016 18:48

How are you feeling today fluffy?

Still waiting for my gyno referral ... maybe I should have gone private but I feel like I've waited this long.

Strange question to ask now... a little TMI so I apologise in advance .... today I've had loads of EWCM ... is this normal if I haven't had a period in 6months?? I had cramping like AF was coming last week and nothing.

It's all a bit weird and wish Mother Nature would make an appearance so I would feel slightly normal.... Hmm x

Elly1685 · 07/12/2016 18:49

Also summer - what is AFM? Xx

satsooma · 07/12/2016 20:07

AFM = as for me? Just guessing.

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/12/2016 20:12

Haha I asked the same thing! It means as for me!

Ewcm is a sign of impending ovulation! Supposed...
get DTD right now!

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/12/2016 20:13

satsooma, hope your boobs are showing you good signs! When is test day? Xxx

FluffyEwok · 07/12/2016 20:21

Hi girls.
Ely take an ovulation test.
There is a lady on another thread whose just got a positive test on 150mg clomid so thats hopeful

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/12/2016 20:26

I bloody hope this cycle works for me! I just want a sticky bean! I'm testing way into January to be safe xxx

satsooma · 07/12/2016 20:54

You so deserve a sticky bean Boggle. Hoping this is your lucky cycle.

I could test this weekend, but like you I am going to wait a bit longer. I'll give it an extra week after that. If AF does not show up by then it would be time to take provera, so I would need to test anyway.

Elly1685 · 07/12/2016 21:02

Aaaahhh I'll have to remember AFM now!!

I've never done an ovulation test as I've never been able to pinpoint the best to test - what tests do you recommend I buy?

boggle and satsooma I have my fingers crossed For you! X

satsooma · 07/12/2016 21:14

Elly I buy a bunch of cheap sticks (20-50 in a packet) off amazon. They are the ones the NHS use ans are accurate.

If you have irregular cycles, you should test every day from CD12. The ideal is to test after 2pm.

Be aware that people with PCOS can have multiple LH surges (which is what the sticks are testing for). So if you see an almost positive, you should probably keep on testing. I have found that since I went on clomid, I have really clear positive OPKs. It made me realise that all the positives I thought I had in other cycles, were probably too faint to count as ovulation.

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/12/2016 21:24

Clomid has given me obvious positive opks and even in the evening. I also used internet cheapies. Not really been bothered too much when not using clomid as it doesn't tend to show much.

Fingers crossed satsooma*

NeverGoOutOfStyle · 07/12/2016 23:51

boggle I agree, CD11 is much too early for anything at all! None of the apps I use to track ovulation have me down for another few days (Ovia and Clue both have different ideas on when I will ovulate!) at the very least so feeling a little uneasy, noticed it has been happening after sex too now and quite a lot of fresh red blood instead of spotting, so I feel quite worried, going to try get to the GP on Friday at some point, a referral to gyne would at least get me back on metformin so I can feel comfortable with that, was really hoping for a BFP this month, but feel kind of like my hopes have been dashed.

Crossing my fingers for you Satsooma! Sore boobs were my earliest sign, they also looked kind of fuller, to the point when my friends were wondering if I had strayed from my ever faithful single style of bra haha!

danigrace · 08/12/2016 11:02

Satsooma I 'just knew' I was pg by then with one of my biggest symptoms being sore boobs that were quite a bit different to my usual sore boobs and nipples. They were very painful especially at the outside sides. Fingers crossed it's a good sign.

Hope everyone is doing okay. Fingers crossed for your festive cycles Smile

FluffyEwok · 08/12/2016 19:08

Hello everyone ok? Any news? I cant stop eating chocolates today! Had accupuncture this morning so feel relaxed

YouBoggleMyMind · 08/12/2016 22:49

Finally finished with clomid and hot sweats which is nice! Now to see if the scan is positive.

Has anyone seen amy on here recently? Starting to worry xxx
