Hi all ladies, just catching up.
Amy, sorry to read you didn't have a great week. I've still got my fingers crossed for you. It's good to let your emotions out, never ever suck it up.
My info for you all
Nutcracker
30
TTC #1 Since August 2015 (although in reality I wasn't ovulating so haven't really been trying for very long at all)
Diagnosis: PCOS - went down the private route
Treatment: First round of clomid, scan showed a nice big follicle and got 2 days of positive tests
Next Milestone: Waiting game
Location: Surrey
The funny thing is, I had my private diagnosis of pcos, first round of clomid and scans, all in the space of time I had to wait for my initial "fertility" consultation with the NHS (4 month wait). I went just for the sake of it this week, I couldn't stop thinking how let down I felt, that I would not have even been diagnosed with pcos yet if I'd just relied on the NHS.
For anyone concerned about the cost of private, all in all it's cost me £300 for a well woman screen which included the internal scan to diagnose my pcos, £7 for clomid and £200 for my first follicle track (although I think even the Harley Street clinics normally charge £100 for this, I just needed mine in a hurry).
I'm very fit, have been carb free for 4 months and lost a stone even though I'm not over weight. I have a very healthy life style.
I hope this post helps any lurkers who think they might have pcos and trying to conceive to not waste time and go get a scan. If I'd known what I know now I would have done this a year ago.
Much love to all of you
