Welcome to our third thread on PCOS. What we don't know isn't really worth knowing. We're a friendly bunch of women who have a few things in common. We all have either PCOS or unexplained infertility and we're all on a mission for a BFP!!!!

Good luck boggle I'm on day 14 and normally ovulate on day 18 so should be building up to it.

Hi fluffy would you recommend acupuncture? Is yours specifically for fertility or just for general relaxation? I've been thinking about it just to try to calm and relax me a bit.

SummerHopin, Fluffy I'd be interested to know some more about acupuncture too, and if you think it helps.

Managed to get in at my GP about this mystery bleeding but went armed with a list of other PCOS related questions, he was pretty good, I saw a different GP than usual, he asked for bloods to do all my hormones and said he thinks they should put me on Metformin, which I'd like to try as I seemed to get along with it in the past. He also wanted an internal exam to check if everything looks okay and do some swabs and said everything looks okay so I feel a bit more relaxed about that now xxx

Thats good news style. Accupuncture is £35 for me. Not sure it works yet but its relaxing and not painful x

I've ordered ovulation sticks but never used them before as I've not had an AF since July I can't work out which CD I'm on. Maybe if AF does ever appear it will be handy to have them in ready ... !

What is metformin supposed to be good for? My GP hasn't mentioned that, so is it rare for that tonne prescribed

Had my works Xmas do last night and decided to embrace a few wine ... why not?! Regretting it today though

Metformin makes cells more receptive to insulin so reduces testosterone in short. Close to ovulation but we've both got vomiting and diarrhoea FFs how's everyone else?

I'm better and got an almost positive opk so am having sex tonight even if im vomming. Heard that the ivf waiting list in our area is currently very small so feel postive that if it gets to that we hopefully won't wait too long. How's everyone ?

Hi everyone, just been lurking for a while waiting to take a pregnancy test, and, I can't believe it, but I got a BFP on Saturday. I know it's very early days but I'm just delighted.

I had an appointment with my gynaecologist on Saturday anyway since I was convinced the first round of Clomid hadn't worked. So instead he explained that he will scan me early at 6 weeks which is next week, then a 12 week scan.

I'm sending positive prayers to you all.

I got a positive opk today so need to have sex tonight as haven't had it since Friday I'm obsessed with every other day but we weren't well yesterday so had to abort that attempt. How's everyone else ?

Thank you everyone. Yes Fluffy go for it tonight. My hubby was sick on my positive day but we just went for it and then again 2 days later. I got my fingers crossed for you!

Over stimulated again. 5/6 follicles. Got to be scanned Friday but likely to abandoned. I was late too as a road was closed on my route there. Scan nurse kept banging on about me being a prime candidate for IVF... not helpful.

Feel like crap. Again.

Delurking to say boggle I'm sorry to hear that you have over stimulated. Wouldn't you just give it a go anyway as a last chance saloon? The likelihood of all 6 eggs being fertilised is a large ask.

I've been given an increase on my clomid - got 3 rounds of 150mg now. I'm thinking that my natural 34 day cycle along with a nice sized folicale this cycle is giving it all positive vibes for it to work! Just got to wait for AF to rear her ugly mush now to get on with it!

Going back in my hole as I'm trying to bury my head a little over this whilst it's Christmas. Plus I'm under investigation at work which is pissing me off to say the least.
