4dpo and have the usual tingle/burn feeling in uterus so I'm guessing it's not my month. Again. I'm thinking implantation is the likely problem on the months I do ovulate. I don't think there's enough lining... but I'm not out til the uterus sings (or gurgles as in my case)

Clara101 · 15/10/2016 08:53

Hello everyone..

Pies, I hope you're ok.. Im sure your pep talk is right and the fact you got a bfp is a good sign for future. I had a mc between my dcs so like many ladies on here know how tough.

Fuzzy, good luck with your ivf cycle... Everything crossed for you!!,

Abasurdum and alibaba, thank you for your tips upthread. Yes that sounds right, am cd10 so my good days from now.. My cycles are usually 28 days and don't really get ov signs beyond cm. Have temped a few times but not this month.

Wishing everyone good weekend..

Oh and not sure I said hi properly before, I'm almost 44 and v lucky to have 2 dcs born when I was 38.5 and 41. Wd love a third and been trying ever since I stopped bf a year ago... Well was trying before that too but cycles were still settling due to bf!

ababsurdum · 15/10/2016 13:09

Clara101 I'm 44 and ttc dc2. Ds was conceived and born when I was 41. Good luck.

Bloop don't count yourself out so early. Implantation happens 6-10 dpo. Wishing you lots of luck this month.

Hoojimmaflip we've been trying post mc since the end of last year. I'm thinking I might get my tubes looked at too to see if maybe one tube is blocked.

Hi can.I. join?

Well I'm currently on cycle day 78 all hpts have been negative last period 30th july-3rd august. I had 2/3 lots of tiny amounts of spotting only lasting a day and barley there at all. I don't normally use opks but when I missed my first period I started to use them and have not ovulated since

I have been getting bad headaches, and very tired dont matter how much i sleep i still need more, last week I started getting very nauseous I was heaving to be sick but wasn't actually sick (I'm never sick or never normally feel sick either) my boobs feel achey and have noticed small thin purple veins on my breasts which i have never seen before.my big blue veins are normally noticeable anyway as I have big boobs but even they look bolder

I was pretty much convinced I weren't pregnant until I started feeling sick and now these random purple veins

Have a internal scan booked 26th October

I'm sooooo confused

ababsurdum · 15/10/2016 13:28

Hi holzyb20, can't your gp do a blood test? Were you ttc?

OP posts:
holzyb20 · 15/10/2016 13:31

Because my scan is the 26th they are saying it's pointless to do bloods

Been ttc #1 for 18 months :(

ababsurdum · 15/10/2016 13:37

Wishing you lots of luck then, hopefully you'll get a +ve hpt by then.

I'm seeing lots of twins around at the moment. We were in a garden centre cafe earlier and a couple were there with twin girls of about a year and she was also about 6 months pregnant. That's going to be hard work! Plus we saw two other sets of twins in the same place.

I've reached the point where mummy friends are becoming pregnant with #2. One texted me yesterday and two I'm certain are but haven't announced yet. I'm very happy for them, wish it was me too though.

holzyb20 · 15/10/2016 13:41

I know what you mean my friend has just had a 3rd child I started ttc #1 when her first was about 6 months all my friends have children now and like you I am very happy for them but just wish it was me. How long have you been ttc xx

ababsurdum · 15/10/2016 14:52

We started ttc in August last year. I fell pg immediately but it unfortunately ended in a mmc at 12 weeks. We've been ttc again since the end of Dec with no luck. I think I may have had a chemical pg a few months ago but not certain.

Hoojimmaflip · 15/10/2016 16:56

Good Luck holzyb20 Fingers crossed for you.
ababsurdum I would absolutely get your tubes looked at, if anything it's one thing to check off the list. Flowers for your mc.

I'm cd15 today but following the news about my blocked tubes I'm not sure how relevant it is. (Still in a bit of a funk about it.)
Sorry I'm not name checking everyone here - I'm rushing but wanted to check in.

ababsurdum · 17/10/2016 12:02

Hoojimmaflip presumably it needs to be done at a particular time of the month? And you can't ttc that month?

OP posts:
Hoojimmaflip · 17/10/2016 15:36

I phoned for an appointment on cd1 and was told it has to be carried out before cd12. (My appointment fell on cd6.) The concern is that if pg the dye would blow any embryo into a tube. Fine to ttc a couple of days after the procedure - in fact they say you're hyper fertile for a few months after. My GP put me in touch with the fertility clinic at my local hospital so atm I'm still going through the NHS.

ababsurdum · 17/10/2016 15:47

Thanks, that's really helpful. I think I'll book one privately.

Greenglassteacup · 17/10/2016 19:33

Week 8 private scan. Its dead. They will refer me to the epu to be seen on sat to talk about getting it out of me

IAteSomeofthePies · 17/10/2016 20:04

I'm so sorry, greenglass that is so hard. Take care of yourself. I got some good advice on here about options a few weeks in a similar situation. Flowers

ababsurdum · 17/10/2016 20:07

Greenglassteacup I'm so, so sorry. It's so cruel, I hope that you have RL support. Please look after yourself, we are here if you want to talk Flowers

Hoojimmaflip · 17/10/2016 23:04

So, so sorry greenglass Flowers

MrFuzzyGreen · 17/10/2016 23:56

So, so sorry Greenglass SadFlowers Sadly so many of us have been in the same situation. I had a D&C at 9w in June. It was painless, quick and my cycle returned after 5w. Sending you a virtual hug xx

Bloopbleep · 18/10/2016 00:23

Oh greenglass I'm sorry :(

ababsurdum · 18/10/2016 19:27

Greenglassteacup I hope you're holding up ok Flowers

Pies how are you?

I'm about 6dpo today. Not really expecting anything as we didn't get much dtd in due to early ovulation. Plus I always wonder if the egg is 'cooked' enough when I ovulate earlier than usual.

OP posts:
Bloopbleep · 19/10/2016 08:40

So I'm 10dpo and feeling odd so decided to test with fmu- now I'm not sure if there's a second squinter of a barely visible might be making it up line or if I'm just seeing the chemical strip where a second line would show. I'm leaning towards the latter. My bank card was destroyed and I'm away to the wilderness for a few days in a couple of hours (there's wifi yay!) so can't really buy any more tests for upcoming days. Grrr. I guess I'll know for sure in few days when af arrives. I might just pee on some wildlife to appease my stick habit.

Bloopbleep · 19/10/2016 08:41

ababs I always wondered how the body knows which is the mature one to pop. Like if it gets to a particular stage or whether maturity is just a term used to describe the one that pops regardless of its developmental stage

Gizmojo · 19/10/2016 09:43

Hi. May I join you all? I'm 42 (tomorrow!) and ttc my first. Just didn't meet the right person until later in life. We managed to conceive naturally this summer but a private scan at 8 weeks showed the baby measuring at 5 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I mc naturally a week later. (greenglass, I can imagine some of what you're going through and I'm so, so sorry).

I'm very heartened to read some success stories here, to help balance some of the worry I feel,

IAteSomeofthePies · 19/10/2016 10:40

Thanks for thinking of me , Ababs! I'm doing okay. I'm still feeling pretty down and a bit fatalistic about our chances. But DH and I have had a nice little stretch here of agenda-free sex, and that has been fun. Hope the next 8 days or so fly by for you.

Bloop it's best to wait a couple days on the squinters, so your trip to the wilderness sounds like a perfect distraction. Fingers crossed! I know there was something about how they used to pee on rabbits, but probably too hard to work out the logistics on short notice...Grin

Welcome Gizmojo and good luck. Sorry for your recent loss. Flowers. I had DS at 42, after a mc, so I hope you get lucky, too. Happy birthday for tomorrow!

wiltingfast · 19/10/2016 13:58

still lurking!

what sad news greenglass really wishing you a better outcome soon Flowers
