Evening everyone... Thanks for the kind words and the Flowers jodie family are plodding on getting funeral sorted.

Welcome wilson and I'm really sorry for your losses. 4 MC is so unlucky and unfair! I hope you get a sticky bean really really soon.

Hello to lucinda too... Your MC was about the same time as mine. Wishing you loads of luck as you start ttc again!

25degrees I'm sorry for your loss, not sure I can help as I bled constantly for 6 weeks after MC. I think anything goes after a MC and it depends how far along you were. It's now my 5th month since mine and still not back to normal, yet others do bounce back straight away and get pg immediately. I hope that's the case for you!

Good luck with scan alb, I hope it's all clear

Great to hear from you insufficiently and so good your cycles are back to normal.

I'm 4dpo and this TWW seems to be the slowest ever!!!

Miami81 · 02/08/2016 19:05

JPEG just about to enter tww. On cd14 today, no temp rise yet, expecting it tomorrow. Not sure we will manage to dtd again tonight, I am actually uncomfortable now. Dreading the tww.
Sorry for your loss and all the best.

Alb1 · 02/08/2016 19:06

Scan went well, there's some free fluid which she said is normal at this time in my cycle as the egg ruptures after ovulation, which suggests I'm not pregnant this cycle, she didn't say it meant that but it seems pretty self explanatory! But everything else is normal so that's a positive at least. Should be 7dpo now.

insufficiently that sounds painful, hope your ok!

INeedNewShoes · 02/08/2016 19:09

I'm 12dpo today. I have been really obsessed with testing this tww, starting at 9dpo and more than once a day. It has done me know good at all. In all honesty I think it's making me slightly unhinged! I've had three days of evaporation lines with no colour in them. I watch the very feint line form, it gets my hopes up, and then it doesn't have any colour in it. It's weird. I'm worried it's a sign of another chemical pregnancy (I had a chemical the cycle before the cycle where I got the BFP that eventually led to my MMC).

I feel so bloody stupid for getting this het up about it all Sad

INeedNewShoes · 02/08/2016 19:11

Sorry, cross-post. Alb I'm pleased that your scan was ok and didn't show anything to worry about.

jpeg28 · 02/08/2016 19:18

Alb so glad the scan went well!

Good luck with the TWW miami hope you get your BFP!

ineednewshoes I will be exactly the same as I always am! Testing too early, getting my hopes up, then I have them shattered!! I hope those evaps turn into something.

I'm a bridesmaid this weekend at one of my best friends weddings, I'll be 8dpo and I know I'll want to have some drinks but also don't want to! I've decided to test in the morning (of course that's way too early!!) and then decide whether to have a few or not. Just don't want people jumping to conclusions!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 02/08/2016 20:23

I'm fine thanks Alb. There's enough of my arm skin on a road near me to clone me and my knees look like nebulas but been back on the bike today so no lasting harm done.

jpeg perhaps you could have just tonic with ice & a slice of lemon/lime. Tastes nice and refreshing and if anybody asks it's a G+T. I'd be tempted to have 1 or 2 with lots of soft drinks in between so you get to enjoy a little tipple but without actually being drunk

newshoes some months I get addicted too. Good luck, I hope one does turn positive. But do try to step away from them if you can, just to give yourself a little break

INeedNewShoes · 02/08/2016 20:37

jpeg have you heard that red wine aids implantation? There's apparently something in it that helps improve the quality of the lining. At this stage, you're not passing anything onto any embryo (as far as I understand anyway) so as long as you're sensible I would have thought a couple of small glasses wouldn't hurt, but do drink plenty of water too to offset any dehydrating effects of any alcohol you might drink.

Insufficiently well done for getting back on your bike today. I'm a keen cyclist too and I know that it can be hard to regain confidence after an incident. I can't decide whether my local pot-holy roads mean that I shouldn't cycle during pregnancy incase the bumpiness isn't good - but then I think I'm being daft and that being on my bike makes such a difference to my physical and mental wellbeing that I'd be best off keeping it up as long as possible!

Thanks for your support on the testing. I will do another one in the morning using FMU but none before that and I will keep to only one tomorrow. I just wish that I either got a clear positive or an absolutely blank negative. Either would be difficult to deal with than the confusing results I've been getting Confused

INeedNewShoes · 02/08/2016 20:39

My last sentence was obviously meant to read 'Either would be less difficult to deal with than...'

See, I've gone dotty!

jpeg28 · 02/08/2016 20:41

Thanks ineednewshoes and insufficiently... I've never heard that about red wine but maybe a couple of glasses with tons of water and a few plain tonics will be fine!

Brenna24 · 02/08/2016 22:43

Hi to Wilson, Lucinda and 25. So sorry you are with us.

Wilson I am a serial offender too. 3 so far and hoping it is just my age that is the problem and that we just have to keep trying. We are undergoing tests right now. So far all of mine have come back normal but I am waiting for repeats on the antiphospholipid ones as those got missed out for some reason. DH is going for SA in a couple of weeks too.

25 I got red spotting for a couple of days when I ovulated after my first miscarriage.

My diet and exercise program is going well. 10 days in and I have put ON a kilo so far. Despite doing a ton of exercise and eating very well apart from one meal out. Sad

INeedNewShoes · 02/08/2016 23:08

Brenna, remember that muscle is heavier than fat. I'm 3 kilos lighter than I was in January despite lack of exercise and eating an incredible volume of biscuits during pregnancy and after the miscarriage. I am definitely fatter (my clothes are tight and my tummy is definitely flabbier than before) yet I'm lighter. It must be that I've lost muscle due to not exercising.

So maybe you've built up a bit of muscle with your exercising which would be a good thing. Anyway, don't lose heart. You know, regardless of the numbers on the scales, that you're doing yourself good!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 03/08/2016 09:11

NewShoes the last time I had a fall a couple of years ago it took months for me to be ready to ride again but this time I was itching to get back on, only delay was having to fix my bike back up again. Carried on riding previously when pregnant, it really helped with morning sickness through a combination of fresh air and distraction. Exception was bumpy roads though, every jolt sent my stomach in to my mouth! If I get pregnant again I think I'll keep at it again for as long as I can, maybe avoiding the bumpy roads!

Brenna I agree you might have just built up some extra muscle. I'm both at my heaviest ever and fittest right now. Thighs of steel but the scales make me wince!

kirinm · 03/08/2016 09:58

Hi,

Do you mind if I join? I am not exactly trying but we are not actively trying to prevent anymore either. I have a history of miscarriage with 1 ectopic, 3 early miscarriages and a mmc at 11wks where baby died at 10wks. I was seen in the recurrent miscarriage clinic at St. George's hospital a while ago and everything was supposedly fine.

I haven't been able to bring myself to try since the MMC. I found it so traumatic and the idea of getting pregnant is really quite frightening. I spent those 11wks sick but so anxious. Previously I only needed to get past 6wks to feel more confident but now I am going to be waiting months and months for the anxiety to calm down.

I think I'm 11dpo today. I had an odd short AF last month. I usually have a 28 day AF but my last one was only 25. I am not temping or using OPKs so I am going on the basis of what I considered ovulation pains on CD11. I am now also panicking that CD11 is too early to ovulate and hope for a positive result.

25degrees · 03/08/2016 10:05

Hi everyone, thanks for the advice! The spotting turned into what I can only assume is a period, but I've never had one like this before. There are no clots, it's really bright red, but also quite watery and thin? I'm used to quite thick periods with clotting, so this is very odd. But I read that this can happen for the first period after a MC, was anyone else's first like that? It came one month to the day that I started bleeding with the MC, I usually have a 34 day cycle so it's a bit early, can your cycle change in length after MC? X

Cookiemonster19 · 03/08/2016 11:24

Hi 25,

My periods have been haywire since my misscarriage in April, they've gone a lot shorter than what they used to be! I had a 33 day cycle on the dot & since April they've been 27, 25, even 19 days but the dr has said that's normal and that they should return to normal soon! Hope that helps x

I've currently still got loads of pain still in my lower belly and back, went to docs this morning and she said it could be a water infection? She tested for pregnancy but it came back negative but I'm not due on till Monday? Could I still be pregnant? I'm all confused!

Brenna24 · 03/08/2016 11:32

Hi Kiri. Sorry that sounds awful. I had a MMc first, then a couple of much earlier ones and I know the fear only too well. Fingers crossed that sooner or later we get sticky ones.

Your cycles can be all over the place for a while 25. So it might be a one off difference, or your cycles may have changed a bit.

Thanks for the support. It was water retention after the salty chinese. I have lost that kilo again. Phew.

Hazandduck · 03/08/2016 11:56

I recognise a few names on here from the due in Feb 2017 board :( it makes me sad that your hopes are just dashed so suddenly. I'm so sorry to see anyone on here. OH have started to try this week. Has anyone experienced a bit of bleeding after sex the first couple of times? It isn't fresh blood, so I wonder if it is just a bit still left to pass. Sorry TMI! x

jpeg28 · 03/08/2016 11:58

Welcome kiri and so sorry for your losses... I'm pretty sure it's not when you ov but how long your luteal phase is that matters, so I'm sure ov on cd11 is perfectly fine.

25 my cycle changed after my MC, first one 42 days, then 37 then 42, this one looks to be 35. But that's a great sign if af is back exactly one month after MC mine took forever!

cookie it could just be too early to recognise the hcg... Wait until Monday and test...good luck!!

I had my first blood test today to test my progesterone, another one Monday. Not sure what level it should even be at, and am I right that if my progesterone is up I definitely ovulated??

Good work on losing the kilo brenna I need to lose about 5kg and I'm not getting anywhere mainly because I'm so lazy and have no will power!!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 03/08/2016 12:05

25 I haven't had a normal period or cycle since my mc 7 months ago so it can take a while to get back. Last cycle at 31 days was pretty much a normal length for me but I had spotting for 3 days before. All other cycles have been either 25 days or 35 days with nothing in between. Spotting some cycles. Some heavy and clotty, some watery and barely there. Also have really low mood, worse than any PMS I ever had previously and menstrual migraines which I haven't had since I was on the pill years ago.

It's so hard to know what is normal after mc as everybody seems to experience it differently. I hope you get back on track soon.

Hazandduck · 03/08/2016 12:08

I have been inspired by others on here to look in to acupuncture, have just emailed someone local who also deals with fertility. I've had migraines all my life too so maybe it will help with that and my anxiety.

How do you test your progesterone jpeg? I was on a progesterone only pill for 9 years and have read a lot about people miscarrying after being on it because of not being able to produce their own progesterone! Could that be true? X

jpeg28 · 03/08/2016 12:18

haz I had a blood test at the docs. I went at the start of my cycle and told the doc I was concerned that my cycles were all screwed up and I wasn't ovulating. So she said to test at two different days in my cycle cd25 and cd30.

Hazandduck · 03/08/2016 12:53

Oh I see. I don't think my doc would be that helpful 😒

Brenna24 · 03/08/2016 16:27

IC have a hug for last FRiday. Due dates are hard work. Flowers
