Karen I've got my fingers so tightly crossed for you. It's not too late yet. I wouldn't consider yourself out until day 15.

Kwick I think it's impossible not to get overwhelmed with the emotions of it all from time to time. Don't beat yourself up about it Flowers

Lovely Bloody hell, 11 eggs! Now that's pretty good going Smile How long does it take until you know how many fertilise?

pickle162 · 10/08/2016 20:50

kwick did u go to Lidl? That sounds like my consumption of food that I get from there!! Thank goodness aldi is my nearest which doesn't have a bakery lol! Well as least you have your bacial to look forward to on Monday, not good if u have a dodge tum

I feel I need to write myself a little plan of what everyone's having done and doing, I can't keep up with everything.

Going down to my besties tomorrow eve with her 2 little boys 5 & 2, I'm looking after the 5yr old on Friday and they live right by the beach so ice creams and sandcastles here we come :) looking forward to it but how do I pee??? He's 5 I don't want to pee with him in with me (I have toilet phobias) but if we are out and about I don't want to leave him outside incase he gets snatched Confused so we'll have to come back to his house every time I need a wee arghhhh the dilemmas

Lovelyholiday · 10/08/2016 21:39

kwick that's what I call a good comfort eat! Well done!
shoes I'll find out tomorrow how many have made it so will let you know Grin

I guess 11 eggs isn't bad for an old girl afterall then 😊

pickle you made me laugh!! Take the 5yr old to the cubicle and have him stand outside the door (gaurding you...they love a job to do) and talk to you the whole time, which he will do anyway as those 5yr olds can be very chatty!
I will let you all know tomorrow how successful the eggs have been.

pickle162 · 10/08/2016 21:59

Hehe thanks lovely I worry About all the important things lol.
Eek can't wait to here how your l'il eggs are doing!!! Fingers and toes crossed! So exciting x

kwick · 11/08/2016 08:31

lovely I think I will be checking this post at every opportunity today to see how many eggs fertilise!!!

My stomach feels a bit better today but I am still a bit flat... Hope heat wave does come tommorrow as the sunshining will defo help!

pickle it was a combo of Poundland and Sainsbury's Grin
If you do make a list can you share it? I too am awful at what everyone is doing especially as I am on 2 other TTC threads
I always stress about logistical matters too! I used to not be able to do wee-wee in front of others but my not so little nephew cured that as he (when was little) would follow me everywhere! Even to this day he always insist we sit side by side if we are eating together... GOD I MISS HIM SO MUCH (he is off in Peru for ONE MONTH this summer).

8 have made it!! Grin
Transfer might be Saturday if one is standing out of the crowd otherwise it will be Monday!

INeedNewShoes · 11/08/2016 09:33

Wow! That's brilliant Lovely . Hope you've got nice plans to distract you until transfer.

kwick · 11/08/2016 11:43

lovely this is such good news!!!!! I am SO pleased!!! Make sure you ask for a photo during the transfer!
I found the transfer fine - although you do have to stay there a long time with the speculum as they make sure the embryo really is out and in you!!!! This is so exciting!!!!

Finding it really hard to be diligent at work today... I have an appointment with myself for most if the day (I have to do this otherwise it fills up with meetings) to do a whole load of appraisals.... It is like losing the will to live!!! Oh well best get back to it!
The good news is that of 26 people I have to review only 14 left... (Damn I thought it was less than that!)...

Karendvm · 11/08/2016 14:47

Wonderful news lovely! Can't wait to hear how everything goes.

Lovelyholiday · 11/08/2016 15:18

Thanks all, hoping those little guys make the grade!
I have no plans for the weekend so hoping I don't drive myself mad! I will take my 2 furbabies out for some nice walks though.
kwick they can give you a photo?? Wow I'm so doing that Grin I hope your appraisals went well, almost the weekend and time to relax!

How is everyone else doing? karen and shoes I hope you two are OK x

INeedNewShoes · 11/08/2016 16:36

I'm ok thanks Lovely . I haven't decided whether to have another attempt next week. I'm seeing my GP tomorrow to try to get a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic, but I fear I could be waiting months for an appointment. I'm hoping she might run some basic bloods for me in the meantime.

Kwick How are those appraisals going? Dreadful things - they take up so much time!

Karen How are you getting on?

INeedNewShoes · 11/08/2016 16:44

Kwick I've been trying to find one of our old threads, not the previous one but the one before that. Do you know where I can find it?

I want to check up on a timing thing and I think I wittered on about it on one of the old threads (basically using our threads as a record!).

kwick · 11/08/2016 18:13

shoes really hard decision but I would probably do IUI anyway - you never know this one might stick?

Appraisals, schmaysals... Feel like my head will explode - good job I am out to dinner tonight! Fortunately I do not need to have the actual conversation, just add my written feedback but this is very complicated - too complicated to explain. I still have LOADS left to do Sad

shoes let me do some searching - I am pretty positive I can find it - but may need my laptop rather than my phone!

Lovelyholiday · 11/08/2016 19:43

shoes I know it's hard, if you're undecided I would be tempted to say give yourself the month off, have yourself some you time, then come back fighting and ready to go! Just remember that it will happen eventually one way or another. Flowers

kwick · 11/08/2016 21:28

shoes if you search under "donor iui" you will find the first thread, then the second one has the same name as this one except there is no "#makeithappen". I will try and get you the link if you are still stuck?

Just had lovely dinner with ex-colleague. Great food and conversation and great to know I will not have a hangover tomorrow... Wow it is nearly since I touched the sauce!

Just posting it here for safe keeping (for some reason it wouldn't come up in my 'Threads I'm On').

pickle162 · 11/08/2016 21:52

Eek lovely 8 eggs that's amazing!!!!
kwick yes of course I will share list when I make it :)

Karendvm · 11/08/2016 22:04

shoes and lovely I'm doing ok. Thank you for asking. I had a huge break down after work yesterday. Had a big ol' cry. Went home. Thought about testing but talked myself out of it. Was going to test today but I forgot. Was woken up in the middle of the night for an emergency so I'm kinda off the ball today. Feeling like I'm pregnant, no af, but preparing myself for a negative beta and starting over next week. I'm happy with the donor I have picked for another cycle do that had given me some comfort.

shoes I know I feel drained from this but I want to be positive and feel like I need to keep at it. I did debate taking a month off to give my body a break from the hormones. But the clock is ticking in my head. I hope your gp at least runs some tests for you.

Thinking of everyone.

kwick · 12/08/2016 08:16

karen this malarkey is very draining. Are you taking progesterone? That always stops my AF and gives false hope. Nevertheless I am keeping everything crossed for you. I think if this round of IVF does not work I may do an IUI...

Yay its Friday!!!

OP posts:
Karendvm · 12/08/2016 16:15

Hey all. Af cramps and I think she is starting. Was expecting it really. So may have a day 2 scan tomorrow and get going on the next cycle. Maybe this new donor will change my luck! It's gotta happen again sometime, right?

INeedNewShoes · 12/08/2016 16:41

Hi Karen Did you test again just to double check? Obviously you know your own body, but it's important to check before you embark on any meds for your next round etc. just in case. I know it's hard because seeing a negative HPT is difficult to handle, but I did a test yesterday just to be absolutely sure. Flowers

My GP is going to run a load of blood tests for me on Monday just to see if any clotting issues or anything else show up. But, even though I probably won't get the results of those tests until afterwards, I've pretty much decided to go ahead with IUI attempt 4 next week, assuming I ovulate around CD13/14 again (last time after the chemical pregnancy I ovulated a week late - so I won't be making the mistake of booking travel in advance again!).

kwick · 12/08/2016 17:02

karen Flowers

shoes I am very glad you are getting bloods done.

I am on knicker watch for AF - have baseline scan already booked for monday!

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 12/08/2016 17:25

Kwick - you must be so pleased to be in a position to be starting the process again. You have been so patient Star Once again, your attitude has set a good example to me!

I shopped for follicle-boosting foods today. Avocados, eggs, full fat milk plus some spinach for folate, lots of fresh fruit, and a freshly baked M&S scone ...because I fancied a scone; I very much doubt that scones have anything to recommend them at all on the fertility front.

INeedNewShoes · 12/08/2016 17:27

I've just realised it's a little while since we heard from Caution I hope everything's ok with you if you're reading Smile

Karendvm · 12/08/2016 20:31

Shoes I did a test this morning. I'm going in tomorrow for a beta so I'm sure that will tell me what is going on. I read all these stories about women who have some spitting around the time of af and are still pregnant. I think my af hasn't arrived full blown because the nasty progesterone is keeping it at bay.
And good for you to be proceeding with the iui. Are you going to start aspirin, just in case of clotting issues? I think I may start in a few weeks after my next iui. Looks like cd3 scan could be Monday or Tuesday. I already have a vial of donor magic potion reserved. Onwards and upwards! So glad it's Friday. Grin
