I'm feeling better after my little rant yesterday 😁

Sorry af got you Looby! Our bodies are bitches xxx

HighHopes16 · 17/09/2016 17:35

Glad you're feeling better BoBo !
My AF is now over so onto cycle 2- still taking AC so looking forward to seeing what effect it has on my cycle!

Johno85 · 18/09/2016 09:28

Hi ladies. What a quiet weekend on the forum.

Glad you're feeling a bit more chipper bobo and sorry to all of those who were assassinated by AF.

Is anyone testing this weekend to lift our spirits?

I'm currently on cd20. I'm pretty sure I've already ov (didn't opk though) and potentially at a normal 14 days, although I wouldn't put it past my body to lie. Bbt is rising which is why I'm assuming ov is done and dusted.

Didn't manage to dtd much when I had ewcm as DH had his fun in a cup apt. Hoping what we did covers it (excuse the pun), but tbh I'd be happy for a 28 day cycle.

Sample results are due in about a week. If they come back normal I think I'm going to just see out the rest of the year before I get my own kit checked out by the docs.

Happy Sunday all x

LuciBee231015 · 18/09/2016 12:42

Nothing much to report from me... All my ov symptoms have gone. So I'm back to feeling normal! Cm has dried up a lot so just waiting for af now really. 5 dpo today so a while to wait yet... This is only cycle 1 so I'm not too hopeful. Will be good once I get af so I can try and get to grips with my cycle lengths etc.

Went to a party and drank quite a lot, woke up with no sign of a hangover today 🙌🏻

Hope you ladies have all had a good weekend x

Tommygirl10 · 18/09/2016 22:46

I'm confused after getting this yesterday as I had peak test on Wednesday. So have been dtd again just in case. Luckily I have a doctors appointment this week about my teenage spotty skin, so will be seeking some advice about ovulation then. Those of you with bfps- sorry to be so personal - but how often are you dtd in you fw?
Fx for you high hopes. X

HighHopes16 · 19/09/2016 09:20

Wow that's a strong positive OPK Tommy - was it that strong on Wednesday? I don't know how long it takes to reach its peak?
I got my bfp dtd about 3-4 times a week.
I've just redownloaded my Ovia App now I finally have some AF data to enter. It says my fertile week is in 5 days time so that's something to look forward to!!

LuciBee231015 · 19/09/2016 16:37

How we doing ladies? I'm 6 dpo and borrrrred!! Thinking about testing on Saturday at 11dpo...still too early?

Johno85 · 19/09/2016 18:30

Hey luci. You never know- have heard of people getting BFP from 8dpo. Just depends how desperate you are to poas I guess (and potentially waste a test) Wink fx for a BFP whenever you test x

LuciBee231015 · 19/09/2016 18:40

I want to hold out but I know I'm going give in! I'm home alone on Saturday morning and I have no will power! ...I'll see lol.

Tommygirl10 · 19/09/2016 19:10

Me and the DH need to get a bit more busy in order to be successful I think. We are only doing it twice a week ATM if we are lucky. We will get there though. I uploaded my opk on previous page or 2 from Wednesday and it is very obviously positive. We dtd on Thursday just to be sure and then I had this on Saturday? I thought I'd missed ovulation but it seems I didn't. I am going to ask for some more information about it at the doctors on Thursday because I've also read online that you can ovulate more than once a month, but that your body sometimes fails to ovulate. Anyway good luck to you high hopes in your fw. And good luck for saturday luci. X

MouseLove · 19/09/2016 20:34

Evening ladies
Can I please join in?

I came off my pill on Thursday. After 12 years and I'm completely pooping it that I've done some damage.

No AF as yet. And no idea of my cycles.

Age: 32 (33 at the end of Nov)
TTC: #1
Cycle: #1

Johno85 · 19/09/2016 20:54

Hi mouse welcome to the gang Smile

growcookeat · 19/09/2016 20:56

Tommy we were dtd pretty much every other day the month I got BFP. As my cycle is fairly short it was only for about a week.

So went to see GP who congratulated me on BFP and referred me to midwife. She has no appointments for over 2 weeks though so I think I'll be 9 weeks when I see her! I'm a bit nervous that that's quite late but not much I can do. I have to choose my hospital before I see her so I hope I can find some info about them online.

Really feeling the symptoms now I'm sorry to say ladies. Really heavy and sore boobs, nausea all day - especially if I'm hungry but no actual sickness yet. Can't help feeling anxious too - difficult not to think about what could go wrong Confused.

Good luck to this testing this week.

BoBo90 · 19/09/2016 21:01

Tommy you can definitely have more than one lh surge (I'm currently in my third tww this cycle thanks to that) just keep an eye on any ov like signs happening after a positive Opk and test again I needed :) also spots are the down side to ttc!! I get a break out every ov 😒

Welcome Mouse! I will add you to the list when I do the next update 😊

Luci you can test at 11dpo but as you don't know how long your lp is it might be too early 🙂

Fx for you Johno 😊 Remember it only takes one well timed shaggeroo

OP posts:
MoonlightMojitos · 19/09/2016 21:23

Fx ac works for you highhopes and that everything settles down again now af has come anyway. My first cycle after first af after mc was really short.

Oooh johno! When will you test?

luci you could get a result at 11pdo, I think it depends when implantation happens? I read it can happen anywhere between 5 and 11 days (9 being most common); then you start producing hcg after that so takes a few days to build up enough for a test. So if implantation happens early it might pick it up :). Fx for you.

tommy like bobo said, she's had 3 surges! Fx this one is it for you and it happens.

4dpo for me, nothing to report. Temps (if I do say so myself lol) are very clear before and after ov so that's good.

Tommygirl10 · 19/09/2016 21:51

Hi, welcome Mouse!
Wow I was confused before I started tracking. Then I got positive opk and thought, at least I know I'm ovulating now. But actually now - I don't know that at all. I could just be having lh surges.
Wow I think every other day might be too much for us. Although when you think of it as one week it isn't too bad. It's just hard to know when that week is for me ATM. But I can't complain. Bobo I take my hat off to you. You are so supportive to all of us but yet your Ttc journey hasnt been plain sailing either.
Grow- I'm sure I'll be anxious when I get to your stage. But all the signs sound positive atm so try to enjoy the nausea as much as you can.
Good luck ladies! I love this forum and how we can discuss everything with each other. I'm sure I'm slowly driving the DH mad opking all the time x

LuciBee231015 · 19/09/2016 22:04

Welcome Mouse! I came off the pill on 31st July and I'm still waiting on af... So it may take a while. I had some spotting on 5th and 6th Auguest and I counted that as cd1. I noticed some ewcm around cd35-38 so did a few opks and got a peak, so I should have ovulated. Just waiting to see if af or bfp shows up now. Currently 6dpo so a long wait... No idea how long my lp is as I haven't had a proper cycle yet... Just a waiting game really, a very frustrating one.

Good thing is, I didn't have any symptoms of coming off the pill really at all... That's what I was most scared about! The only real symptoms I have felt was around ovulation.

Bobo you are right, I have no idea how long my lp is... So 11 dpo is extremely optimistic. I will try and wait it out as long as I can 🙈

MouseLove · 19/09/2016 22:16

Lucibee, thank you. What kinda symptoms coming off the pill (no research done here lol) I've had a nervous type tummy since Friday but I'm putting that down to the pill and excitement lol. I'm bloated and peeing loads and that's the only thing I've noticed. I really hope weight gain isn't one of them as I've lost 2 stone this year and plan on loosing some more.

LuciBee231015 · 19/09/2016 22:23

Well coming off the pill makes your body do all kinds of crazy things, mainly preggo symptoms that make you think you are but your not! Luckily I wasn't one of those people and didn't really have anything, bloating and constipation was about it really. Maybe have a read up about coming off the pill, might prepare you a bit. I was researching for about 2 months before I even came off it. Like you I have been on it for 12 years and for the past 6 had no periods at all whilst on it.

HighHopes16 · 20/09/2016 09:45

Morning all, who's next to test? Is it going to be you Luci? Grin
I feel much less bloated now I've actually had a period- I think my body was just waiting for the clear out!!

I still haven't got my 'urgent' gyno appointment, might ring my gp if it doesn't come in the next couple of days. I know its probably not going to happen but I'm scared of getting a BFP without undergoing treatment for my PCOS. I've been doing some research and the risks of m/c are much less when you are taking Metformin. But I can't be referred to an Endocrinologist until I've had the all clear from the gyno! Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead.
TTC seems to be like one big waiting game!

LuciBee231015 · 20/09/2016 10:15

It might be me... I know 11dpo is early but I'm home alone on Saturday with a pack of 10 internet cheapie tests so I know I will cave!! Just be ready to console me when I'm disappointed pls 🙈😂

Had a few very dull cramps during the night last night, but I think I may be symptom spotting so who knows if they were real or not!

Glad your body feels better after af, and fx it did clear everything away. I would defo chase up that appointment though!

MouseLove · 20/09/2016 11:25

Where do you all get your internet cheap tests from? I'm thinking in a few months i might need some ovulation ones. Any particular brand or things to look out for?

LuciBee231015 · 20/09/2016 11:37

I get the one step ones from Amazon, they do ov and pg ones. pic attached

Thread 4: Ttc without ease, loopy length cycles, post pill poas and everything in between!
HighHopes16 · 20/09/2016 12:02

I get mine from poundstretcher/poundland etc..

2 for £1 pregnancy tests & 5 for £1 ovulation tests.

MoonlightMojitos · 20/09/2016 12:44

I got the one step ones from amazon too. It was about a 5er for 5 pg tests and 30 or 50 (can't remember which) ov tests :) in a bundle.
