So I caved this morning and tested.

BFP!!

You should have seen DHs face when I showed him the stick. Strangely it's saying 3+ weeks. 3 weeks exactly was the start of my last period. Do you think it's saying I conceived last cycle? I definitely had what I thought was a 'normal' AF.

AF could've been implantation bleeding ?? If you read the back of the pregnancy tests it says 3+ actually means 5+ weeks pregnant! X

Congratulations, grow! Your AF must have been an implantation bleed. These can be heavy enough to look like a normal AF, or it could have been old blood your cervix was getting rid of to make way for the baby. Congratulations! x

Wow so many bfps lately!! Congratulations all! . Keep them coming! CD 70 for me now cycle 3, 9 months post pill but on a positive note i am off on my holidays and theres not going to be a pill/vitamins/ pee stick in sight! Going to try and go free style for a few weeks and see what happend, wish me luck lol x

Thanks all! Hmmm I guess it must have been implantation bleeding. It was heavy for 3 days then a couple of lighter days so def felt like a real AF. It would explain all the positive opk's I got this month though as they must have been picking up the hcg!

Will try and forget about all the wine/soft cheese/pate I ate in my hols!

If I am 5 weeks that will be great as less time until I can tell people. I don't know how I'm meant to keep it quiet! Will the GP be able to work out how far I am or will I have to wait for a scan?

The gp will either send you for an early dating scan or go from your last actual af - not the implantation one Do you know what your ov dates were?
Don't worry about all the naughty food and drink! It wouldnt have been passed onto baby yet

Catmum have you tried any ac? Or going to the gp? You could fib and say you've been trying for a year but your cycles are stupid long! They might test for pcos and things

I'm 3dpo today, going to test next friday as I have a wedding later in the day and if it's bfn I'm going to get very drunk!

1 dpo for me, so excited I say that! Lol. I did another opk this morning just to be sure and it was completely negative, so looks like it was Defo a surge and I'm on the 2ww!

Its dh's bday in Friday so got family over, and going to a 30th party on Saturday... Life must go on even in the 2ww right? I'm dying for a prosecco or 3! 😁

And thankd for the advice- ac gave me two short af in the months i was taking it but then seemed to stop 'working' and so havent been taking it for thre last month! Also was experiencing a bit of anxiety on it . Might give it another go and also get myself to thr gp when i am back...... when hopefully there will be more bfps! Good luck all!! Xxx

grow, GP may well be able to work it out, but because of your bleeding and the dates on your hpt, you could ask them if they can refer to to your local EPU for an early scan. They'll be able to date it properly and will look for any possible causes of the AF-like bleeding. Could be worth a try. If not you'll have to wait for your 12 week scan for a more accurate date. x

Roughly how long after ov would you expect implantation bleeding? My last bleed started 24th Aug and I think ov must have been anywhere between 5-8 days before that. I got a positive opk 8 days before. Going by the AF before that would make me 6 and a bit weeks

Will try to book GP tomorrow - they have a stupid system at my place! Hopefully will be able to send me for early scan to check dates.

I'd say that's about right then grow! If you know ov date then add 2 weeks to that and that's how many weeks pregnant you are :)!! Exciting!

bobo fx for you! I do love a good wedding. That'll be a nice way to chill out and enjoy some if bfn but hopefully it'll be good news! Are you feeling positive this month?

I'm counting today as Ov day so in to the 2ww. Opk today negative again so thinking yesterday's was as dark as it'll get and expecting temp rise in the morning. Is it sad that I'm so interested to see temps now lol first month properly doing them and opks.

Wow Grow! Amazing that you are probably 6 weeks + pregnant.

Well ladies I'm putting a lot of pressure of myself this evening. I tested at 6pm and got these results on an opk. Shocked so much that I tested twice. I am really wanting this cycle to be the one. My best friend is almost 5 months pregnant now and we started trying at the same time. I know they say not to stress as that's the worse thing you can do but I really don't know what else to do. Quick question, I'm sure someone on here can help! I usually get a few days of brown/red discharge and spotting before AF, so when would you say cd1 was? The heaviness of the discharge and spotting varies, doesn't always increase leading up to AF. Should I be counting these days as cd1 or wait until proper bleed arrives?
Not that it's happening this time though, cd25 of a normally 25 day cycle tomorrow and still no signs of AF or BFP!

Yes I think those dates would roughly add up. My cycle hasn't been totally regular since coming off the pill though so can't be sure. Hopefully GP will have some answers.

Looby you count cd1 from the first day of heavy bleeding. Are you testing in the morning?? Fx for you 🙂
