Yay, I was waiting for someone to start a ttc no 2 thread as 1 and 3 had been started .

How old is your dc1 Amy?

ammylovesbabies · 23/01/2007 21:15

My DD is 4 in April.

I realllly want another one before I get married but wedding is Dec so cutting it fine.

How old is your LO?

OP posts:
FurryFox · 23/01/2007 21:20

DD is nearly 18 months but sometimes feels more like 18 years .

How long have you been ttc again? Are you going to have a break if you don't get BFP this month? Was just thinking would you want to be walking down the isle 9 months pg? .

ammylovesbabies · 23/01/2007 21:24

Erm....no!

Will have a break this month if no BFP but am really frustrated cos have only been ttc for 2 months! Didnt give ourselves much time........

How long have you been ttc?

OP posts:
FurryFox · 23/01/2007 21:30

This is only our first month of ttc so still fairly relaxed about it. Although am on CD36 and normally have a 29 day cycle.

Gord knows whats going on with my body but it's messing up my head. Done 3 tests all BFNs, had slight bleed on Saturday and cramps but nothing since.

DD took 3 cycles and have never had a cycle like this before so all very confusing .

If you don't get your BFP this month (fingers crossed you do ), when will you start trying again?

ammylovesbabies · 23/01/2007 21:38

will start again september. Dont mind being a couple of months going down the aisle.

Good luck furry fox, test more test more!!!

You could just go mad testing couldnt you?

Can I join in? DS is 5 and now at school. Lost #2 to ectopic in 2005, been trying for the past year. Today kicked off next stage (blood tests etc). On cd12 so busy... a BFP would be wonderful....

ammylovesbabies · 23/01/2007 21:46

Sorry to hear bout ectopic. Good luck Jill! x

FurryFox · 23/01/2007 21:49

Am waiting on some tests from ebay which will hopefully arrive tomorrow. There's 10 coming but will hopefully only need one . Even if the first one I do is a BFP I know I'll do at least another four just to make sure

I do love pg tests though, I think they're addictive! When I got BFP with dd I did another four tests and kept them up until a few weeks go when I found them under my bed.

How was your first pg? Mine wasn't great. First five months had hyperemesis, then my Dad died unexpectedly two days after my due date, I ended going two weeks overdue and had a 42 hour labour which ended up in a ventouse delivery. And why do I want to pg again!?

FurryFox · 23/01/2007 21:52

Hi Jill Sorry to hear about your ectopic. Never been through it myself but read about so many people that have on mn.

Good luck with this month .

JillJ72 · 23/01/2007 21:56

Another lady with a POAS addiction . I'm pretty allergic to them, they don't bring me the news I'd like but hey ho, worse things happen. Off to bed now - early night for once (yay).

readyandwaiting · 24/01/2007 13:03

hello - ttc no2 as well - been reading threads for a little while and this seems like perfect one to join!

ds 8 mo and tbh wish i was pg already - wanted min 15 mo (or something like that) between dc - having to think about going back to work now and wanted to be pg so i knew i won't be going back forever

keep going to baby groups at mo and people with children ds age keep telling me they are 3 mo pg.... know 4 people like this - am loving motherhood (getting over baby blues/mild PND and feel like am only just starting to get good at it.... roll on no2)

gosh - re read post... i sound a little crazy and like am trying to rush things... now i know why i spent so long reading threads and not posting!

ammylovesbabies · 24/01/2007 19:19

Any news on that BFP furryfox?

My first pregnancy was difficult, my daughters biological father cheated on me and treated me like crap. I was ill during pregnancy (fat baby lying transverse and blocking wee flow-ouch!) and he refused to help me and to top it all when I came out of hosp with DD found a lady's belongings scattered round my house. Charming man. Saw sense and walked out when she was 8 weeks. Labour was ace though- 3 hours and snored the whole way through. Woke up just in time to see her born! Don't ask me how I managed that cos I haven't got a flippin' clue!

Hoping that no.2 will be fab- a supporting partner and a gorgeous dd. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan!

FurryFox · 24/01/2007 19:46

Did another test this morning but BFN again , never mind.

Amy - Ouch to blocking wee in pg! Sorry your then partner was such a waste but great that you're now with a fantastic man who obvioulsy loves you and your daughter loads and wants children with you. Bet the next 12 months fly by and you'll soon be walking down that isle and becoming his mrs and with a bit of luck you'll either have a new baby as well or one on the way

Welcome readyandwaiting. I admire you for wanting another when ds only 8 months, I originally wanted at least 3 years but soon changed my mind when dd turned 1 (dd now 18 months nearly) and I now have this incredible desire to want another baby like yesterday. Always have been pretty impatient

It does always seem that when you want something so badly everyone else seems to have it/getting it. (Referring to your wanting to be pg and other people you know already are - does that even make sense what I have just written ).

How long have you been ttc no 2?

readyandwaiting · 24/01/2007 20:14

hi furryfox - sorry to hear about BFN

seems like everyone is pg but thats just because we spend a lot of time at baby groups last time when we were ttc although I was concious that the world was full of prams and pg women I could avoid them now I seem to know them all

been ttc since ds was born - well I gave myself a 2 week break after labour yep i really do sound crazy

JillJ72 · 24/01/2007 20:15

I remember when DS was about 6 months old and sooo incredibly cute how the desire to bd again was v v strong.. but financially it was impossible. We originally wanted to start trying for his sibling when he was 1.5, it ended up being 2.5... 16 months later a BFP (yay) that ended in ectopic (boo). 3 months off to recover, then back on the ttc circuit... and suddenly the joy of just bd to 'try' becomes a scientific art. The things I've learned that I was never taught at school... would make a teacher blush.

The only good thing that really came from the BFP/EP was that it silenced our 'critics' - all those who were asking if we were trying, ooo wouldn't it be nice if DS had a little sibling etc etc.

And now they don't say anything at all....!

JillJ72 · 24/01/2007 20:16

And sorry to hear about your BFN. It gets gutty, doesn't it?

ammylovesbabies · 24/01/2007 20:16

Sorry to hear bout BFN furryfox

It does seem like the world and his mate are up the duff at the mo and do you know what? If I see someone that is pg, I can't stop staring!! How rude is that??!! I'm like a crazy mad women possessed staring thing!!

I am lucky now to be in a much better position than a few years ago. I've grown up a lot since I had my 1st and am in a wonderful wonderful relationship. I just hope that we have a baby together to put the icing on our massive cake!

Perhaps dark glasses would be good for hiding our eyes as we goggle at the bumps...?! They used to be cool.. time they came back into fashion, whatever the weather.
