Keep on with the cyclogest mrs, esp if you thought you saw a line. Fx for you.

Friendly, sorry you got bfn. Flowers

I'm really struggling too, I can't believe it has come to this and even with the IVF there's a very real possibility it won't work and we'll never get to have a family.

Clomid was an absolute no, apparently it just wouldn't help. Saying that I've just checked my cyclogest prescription and he's only written on it one 400mg pessary a day, is that right or should it be morning and night?

I started taking soy isoflavones this cycle, figured it can't hurt if I need IVF anyway, I'm not even sure if it's worth trying naturally anymore. Sad

Thanks girls, feel really sad today and can't believe that IVF is now looking to be my only option. I'm feeling quite anxious about getting my AMH result and my consultation next week.

I'd go with whatever your doctor prescribed Sunshine. I take 2 x 400mg a day but wonder if I needed that much. My doctor didn't tell me how many times a day to take it though so i just decided to go with the maximum dose.

Fingers crossed for you Mrs, agree with Sunshine that you should carry on with the Cyclogest a bit longer if you can.

Sorry to hear that you are both feeling miserable too, its so awful isnt it. Sometimes I wish I could just fast forward into the future to see what will happen. As my time is running out, I can't even take a break from this. I'm not sure how many IVF cycles the NHS will pay for but if there is any chance of it working I think we will keep trying, even if it comes to using donor eggs Sad

sunshinegirl12 · 01/07/2016 19:11

Friendly, I've been having a look at the Create fertility website that you posted a while back, I've been looking at a few and this one gives me the most confidence as they seem to specialise in low AMH and I like the natural/mild approach they take. Although I suppose it all depends on where the NHS send me x

mascaraisamust · 01/07/2016 19:12

Sunshine mine was 400g twice a day, once I'd been prescribed it I just called my gp when I out saying the consultant had prescribed it and they gave me a prescription for some more.

Mrs I did have implantation bleeding on cyclogest and thought it was all over. Best of luck to you.

Friendly sorry you feel so down Flowers you will get there even if through IVF x

Friendlycav · 01/07/2016 19:42

Sunshine, Create is who I have my appointment with next week so I'll let you know how it goes. Also like the fact that they take the mild/natural approach. I have my AMH result and it's sitting in my inbox but I can't bare to open it. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be good so am going to leave reading the result until Sunday so it doesn't completely ruin my whole weekend Confused x

sunshinegirl12 · 01/07/2016 19:53

Thats interesting that you're going there Friendly, please do let me know how it goes. Do you know how it would work with the NHS if you get a choice which clinic you go? Ah I hope your AMH result is good, fx for you.

Thanks mascara, so even though its a private prescription i can just ring up my normal GP and ask for a repeat? x

mascaraisamust · 01/07/2016 20:10

That's what I did, I said I had been prescribed it by a consultant and required some more. They were happy to give me it
(Even though the gp said she couldn't prescribe it before, I just played on the consultants said I needed it to sustain my chances of pregnancy). Also once I accidentally left it at home when I was going away for the weekend, I called the nhs number and they got the local gp to prescribe me some near to where we stopping. No questions!

Friendly, it might be better news then you think. Knowledge is power and you can move forward regardless of what it says.x

Friendlycav · 01/07/2016 21:17

I will definitely let you know how it goes Sunshine. I'm not sure how things work with the NHS, I will ask at my appointment but I think Create is private only.

Thank you for sticking around Mascara, it's lovely to have you cheering us on and giving us your support xx

Mrs, Create is a fertility clinic. I'm 31 so my AMH should be alot higher than it is, if yours is good then I wouldn't worry about it. Have you tested again today? Goodluck with your acupuncture, I hope you enjoy it, I do think it will help you even if just having someone to chat to and help you relax.

I was wondering what you've told your employers when you have to have time off for the appts? My work are really off with any kind of appts, you always have to show proof of the appt (hospital letter) and you get a lecture about not taking appts during work hours. I was wondering if I should just be honest when it comes to time off for IVF, although obviously I'd rather they didn't know. Confused

Mrs are you taking another test today? I was very crampy at the start, I felt like I was going to come on my period all the way up to about 8 weeks.

Sunshine I would be honest with work, I think you'll be surprised by how supportive they will be and how many people suddenly appear out of the woodwork who also struggled TTC too. It's just something people hide and more people that you think are going through it. It just happens that we see them fall pregnant and assume it was all a fairytale!

I'm cheering you all on until you get those bfps! I know how much it means to you all!

I'm glad you enjoyed the acupuncture, how often are you having sessions? Where did she put the needles? I definitely do think it has helped me with my stress levels x

What makes her think that? My acupunturist thinks the short cycle length has a lot to do with it, but not sure she would be able to tell about the quality of eggs. I do find it all so interesting x
