Well, Fettle mentioned we should have a general chat thread - and I think it's a great idea!! We could have this one for idle chatter that doesn't have anything to do with actually TTC but just general stuff we want share with our TTC pals... Am I making any sense at all?? Fettle, help me out here

I'll start us off... has everyone seen the public profile that we can share with each other?? It's pretty cool... But I didn't realise how nosy I was, I just keep clicking on everyone's name now

I'm with you... I'm not ttc at the moment, so don't have any conception related stuff to say! A general chat threat sounds like a good idea...

OK,,, can we start of with what a complete Knob Jade is making of herself on BB... She really does nothing for the female sax! Not sure if she is being racist, but totally sure that she is a complete wossit! It is cringworthy seeing her on TV.....But 'whatever' she is the 25 most influential person in the world...GOD HELP US!!

I haven't watched CBB, but read the bits in the news and saw QuestionTime last night, they are pretty vile, and clearly very jealous of Shilpa. That Dannielle, eurgh. What on earth is Teddy Sheringham doing with her??

It's going to be awful when they come out of the house! I almost feel sorry for Danielle for being so daft and easily lead. I said ALMOST!

I've always detested Jade... I find it disgusting that she has earned (I use the term loosely!) so much money!! Some of the things I read about her mother make you wonder if she really stood a chance!?

To be honest I always thought of Jade as a complete idiot, but who managed to make good out of BB. She played her cards right and earned lots of money. But alas she has no common sense and has gone too far by trying to show her ugly mug back on our TV's...

Not been watching BB since the 1st couple of episodes, so can't really comment, but I think it sounds slightly out of all proportion crazy really.

I think somewhere on MN there is a thread just for this subject, if anyone is interested?

Anyway, just wanted to say Ready I support you on general chit-chat thread! Mainly because I miss you on the Jan thread and I'll have to miss the Feb thread totally as it is a short month!

ready - your profile made me feel inadequate! i didnt write enough cos it took me about half an hour to figure out how to get my profile to acknowledge that i had 2 kids! i kept viewing it and it said 'greedyforbabies joined MN in blah blah blah and has NO children....!' FINALLY it understood that i have TWO children!.......must have been me yelling at my PC " YES I HAVE!!!!!2 OF THEM, ASLEEP UPSTAIRS! DO YOU WANT TO COME AND SEE THEM"

Fettle - thanks for you support chick!! I miss you too!! That's the worst part about having calendar months to find out your fate cos our cycles are always going to be different at some point. I am hoping that I don't have to wait until March for my BFP

So.... did anyone see that "The Truth About Food" on BBC2 the other day? I sky+ed it and watched it yesterday, and had to say those women that drank their DHs sperm out of a test tube! Gag. Vom.

Why did they drink the sperm? It's something my husband frequently suggests (but from the source)... did it make them more fertile?

Ha ha... PMSL... it was a test to see if the food that men eat affects the taste of the sperm, so these women were tasting it. Honestly, one woman tasted and guessed what her DH had been eating, and then said "I'll just give it another taste".... VOM! I just looked at DH (whose face was all scrunched up at the sight of this women licking her lips!!).... tasting it from source is one thing... but from a test tube. HURL.

The outcome of the infertile men drinking 2 smoothies a day was not great, only one fella's sperm count increased, one actually dropped (although his wife had got pregnant during the study so something happened!)... but their DNA wasn't as damaged, which was a good sign...

i think that with regards to taking the sperm orally...in my eyes is a complete waste! we are ttc girls..drinking it isnt going to make babies
