Congrats Lucie!! X

star1980 · 04/08/2016 09:56

Yeay Lucie, congratulations!!! What an amazing result. Fingers tightly crossed for this little embryo and all the very best for the next 10 days. Eek!!!

Good luck for your day 3 result today MPP.

bananafish81 · 04/08/2016 10:32

Wow lucie huge congrats!! You really do make beautiful blasts!! Hope the next week or so flies by xx

MPP81 · 04/08/2016 12:20

Congratulations on being PUPO Lucie! Thats fab news! Are you flying home today now? Its only just ocurred to me that we could have met for a coffee or something since we were both here!

Just got day 3 results. We have 1 x morula, 1 x 10 cell, 1 x 8 cell, 3 x 7 cell qand 1 x 5 cell. I've been pacing all morning, waiting to phone so going to head out for a bit now :-)

Hope everyone is ok. :-)

lucieloos · 04/08/2016 13:28

MPP that's great news, as I said on fb that's a lovely set of results. Try and chill now for a couple of days. We are just having a quick bite to eat and then have a taxi booked to the airport. Yes we should have tried to sort something to meet up!! How many blasts will you transfer and will you get any leftovers tested?

I had my 2 acupuncture sessions with lucie today and she was brilliant, such a lovely lady so I can definitely recommend her. She has given me a print out of things to eat etc and she has left 3 tiny needle type things inside my ear and I have to press them a few times a day. One is good for stress so I will probably be pressing that one all the time!!

Hi Rebecca. Best of luck with the embys.

That is great news Itsme.

Congratulations Lucie. That sounds like a great result. Everything crossed for you.

Glad you have some good prospects too MPP.

MPP81 · 05/08/2016 07:58

Thats fab about the acupuncture Lucie! Though I'm intrigued by the needle things in your ear! How does that work? Do you pull them out yourself when you're done with them? Are they quick to remove? I hadn't thought about getting any potential frosties tested actually. Do you think that would be a good idea? How much extra does it cost? Hope your journey home wasn't too long for you!

Thanks Brenna! :-)

bananafish81 · 05/08/2016 08:08

Scan last night showed my lining was looking better after Tuesday's Neupogen wash. Not massively thicker but he said the appearance was better, and the outline was regular. We did another wash and will see how things look next week. The key deciding factor is whether I have a proper bleed or not. If I have a proper AF, with 2 days of actual red flow, then we could go straight into starting stims (doing a whole fresh cycle in order to try and grow my lining to put back a PGS tested frostie)

That's absolute best case. The far more likely option is that we would be looking at another hysteroscopy, probably early September.

Then 1-2 months a copper coil + progynova

If we can get me bleeding then we would then do a stims cycle.

So if we could actually then get my lining to thicken up, we'd be looking at transfer some time around Nov / Dec.

If after the coil we still can't get me to bleed, then we're into desperate measures like Tamoxifen before we can try stimming me.

Depressing to think my due date was early October.

Long old road.

I hope you ladies understand, but I think for my own sanity I probably ought to duck out of this thread for the time being

While I'm treading water in treatment limbo (we're not even trying to get me pregnant yet, we're just trying to get me to have a period FFS) it's very very hard not to feel left behind while following everyone else's progress - and I'm just standing still.

Wishing you all the very best - and in the nicest way, I hope if I'm ever able to rejoin you, that you'll have all moved on, because you'll have graduated to pregnancy threads

Hope you understand - will be thinking of you all

Xxx

lucieloos · 05/08/2016 08:11

Banana, that's great the lining is starting to look better. I have absolutely everything crossed for you. You really have had a long old journey but you will get there we all will. Sad to see you go but I understand and hopefully you will be back again soon and having your transfer. Take care x

star1980 · 05/08/2016 10:20

Oh Banana, that's really difficult to think that your due date is approaching and you're still in this limbo. My heart goes out to you. Thank you so much for the huge support you've given me on this thread. And also to others struggling to conceive on other threads - I lurk a lot and you always pop up to help everyone with your incredible knowledge and kind, caring nature. You are so lovely. Obviously I more than understand that you have to do what's right for you, and in your shoes I would do the same. Please please take good care of yourself on this horrible journey we all have the misfortune of being on. I hope you have success soon. xx

maplebaby · 05/08/2016 11:24

Banana I will be very sad to see you go but 100% understand the reasons. I echo what Star said about you being so helpful, understanding and cheering us all along. I'm glad the wash seemed to have some affect and I'll be thinking of you - all the best and take care xxx

Brenna24 · 05/08/2016 11:30

We will all miss you and your wonderful advice Banana but I totally get that feeling of being left behind. I have everything crossed for you that you can get your lining to thicken up, hopefully this cycle with just the washes.

I had the repeat bloods done today. DH has his SA in 10 days time.

MrsRen · 05/08/2016 11:43

Wishing you lots of luck Banana X

Itsme247 · 05/08/2016 12:06

Wishing you all the best Banana, will miss you and your kind words! I am very hopeful that you will conquer your pesky lining soon x

loopylou1984 · 05/08/2016 12:47

Banana - thank you so much for all your support and advice, I will be sorry not to 'see' you around here but like the others have all said I completely understand your reasons. Please keep us updated on your situation though if you can because I want to hear about it when you get your baby. Lots of love Xx

lucieloos · 05/08/2016 15:41

Well no more of our embryos were suitable for freezing today so we have the one we transferred and the 2 other blasts which are going to be tested. We are over the moon though as we didn't come into this round expecting to get frosties only a day 3 transfer. It would be amazing if one of them turned out to be normal. We will get the results in 3 weeks.

MPP, hope you've had a good day in Brno today and good luck for your transfer tomorrow. Can't wait for you to be pupo! When are you flying home?

Banana - I totally understand your position but wanted to say how extreemly grateful I have been personally for all your wisdom, support and humour. You are a fantastic person who we will miss loads. You do need to put yourself first tho - take good care of you and many many best wishes to you.

Lucie - your embryo haul is fab! Well done :) very excited for you. X

maplebaby · 05/08/2016 16:51

So pleased for you Lucie Smile

I had my scan today - have a 22mm follie and one which was about 15mm. Lining was thin though still at 5.8mm Sad that's 1.2mm since Tuesday.

Consultant said if I have a positive opk tomorrow then IUI won't go ahead (they aren't open at the weekend) so just shag. If I have a positive opk Sunday then IUI on Monday. Not sure if they would do it if the lining is still thin though?! Have a scan booked in for Monday anyway.

Been sat with a hot water bottle on my tum and googling how to thicken lining in 3 days!

sk1pper · 05/08/2016 18:35

Hi all,

Been lurking around the Conception forum a lot recently because I'm having some difficulty conceiving. I've been getting a lot of valuable information from people and I am determined to stay positive.

Age: 28 (soon 29)
DH Age: 35
TTC: #1
Cycle: #12
CD: #CD22

Planning a trip to my GP in 3 weeks time, I have private medical insurance through work so may even use that if I don't get the answers I'm looking for from the NHS.

MPP81 · 05/08/2016 19:11

Banana, I will also miss you but can understand your reasons. I think you are amazing, and I've often found your strength and determination incredible. You've been such a big help to me and everyone else. Like Star, I also lurk on other boards and see you pop up to help and offer support where you can. I wish you nothing but the best and will be thinking of you xxx

Brenna, good luck for your blood results and DH's SA!!

Lucie, thats so fab that you've gotten two frosties! Hoping for good news from the tests for you! Not surre if you saw my earlier post about your ear and the tests? We were going to go to the lake today but the weather's gone a bit pants (though its cooled the air alot, which is fab!) so we just mooched about a bit. We are geocachers and there are quite a few in Brno so we collected some. So nervous for tomorrow, I don't know how I'll get to sleep tonight. We are travelling home Sunday night as we were originally expecting EC to be Tuesday.

Maple, hope your lining thickens up for you and your iui can go ahead.

Welcome Skipper, though sorry you find yourself here. Staying positive can be difficult when you're struggling, and its lovely to have somewhere to come to talk to others in the same boat. Good luck with seeing your GP! I felt better when we started down that route as it at least felt like I was doing SOMETHING, if that makes sense!

Waves to everyone else!

lucieloos · 05/08/2016 19:35

Hey MPP, sorry I did miss your last post! The needles in the ear are really tiny they are just on a bit of sticky so easy to take off.

In relation to the testing it costs €350 per blast. I think it's a good idea as it's cheaper than travelling all the way back for a transfer for a blast that was never going to work anyway, the chances of success with a tested one are quite a bit higher, miscarriage is less and you don't need to worry so much about Down's syndrome and other chromosomal issues as your pregnancy progresses. It all depends if you want to spend the extra money now though. You would have to let them know tomorrow if you wanted to go ahead with it. I know how you feel about tomorrow I was so nervous too but it's almost certain you will have a transfer with the number of embryos you have so just try to keep that in mind when you worry. Tomorrow you are going to be pupo!

Skipper, sorry to see you here but good that you are starting investigations now which will hopefully shed some light and get you on the right path to move forward

Maple, sorry to hear your lining hasn't thickened up yet. You still have a couple more days yet. Fresh pomegranate juice and raspberry leaf tea are meant to help.

maplebaby · 05/08/2016 20:04

Welcome skipper - sorry you find yourself here. Good luck with the doctors! Like MPP it helps to feel like you are doing something about it!

MPP good luck for tomorrow!!

Lucie I had been wondering about the needles in the ear too! I've been drinking pomegranate juice for almost 2 weeks but will try the raspberry leaf tea. Also just ordered floradix after sammy mentioned her AF had been heavier after taking it!

sk1pper · 05/08/2016 20:55

Thank you everyone, that's very kind of you :)

I look forward to listening to your stories and I hope we can share good news together in the future.

MPP81 · 06/08/2016 10:56

Well, I am PUPO! We had 2 x grade 1 hatching blasts and 1xexpanding blast, 1 x early blast and 1 x morula that they want to check again tomorrow, so at least 1 frostie! One of the 7 cells and the 5 cell arrested at day 3. I feel strange. I don't want to get too hopeful, but at the same time its hard to ignore the fact that this is likely our best chance in over 2 years of ttc.

Lucie, the ear explanation makes sense! I think I was imagining huge needles through your ear! DH and I had a long talk last night and decided to go ahead with testing, but when we asked in the clinic, the doctor said she didnt recommend it as we have no history of issues and I am under 35 (just!) so we didnt and I am already regretting it :-( Also, they never gave us our STD results. Does that mean everything was fine? Not that I was expecting anything else, but I would have liked to have been told, I think.

lucieloos · 06/08/2016 11:03

Yay brilliant news MPP! I really hope we both get our bfps! Aww that's annoying they said that! Which Doctor did you have? It doesn't really matter what age you are if you want to know whether they are genetically normal for peace of mind and to increase your chances. Both banana and stealth have had it done and are under 35. It's just an extra thing to help reduce miscarriage etc. Could you get in touch with them quickly if you've changed your mind. You have 2 frosties there and maybe more tomorrow x
