Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

One of my best friend just told me she is pregnant 1st month of having unprotected sex Once ! I am so happy and sad at the same time is such a weird feeling !
I feel so guilty for being jealous !

blueladybird · 06/06/2016 20:08

I'm back. Was on the previous thread briefly, then had to take a step back for my own sanity after a BFN.

Just had another BFN but I've taken it better this time. Just waiting for AF to show up (peaked on clear blue at day 16, now on day 33) so can start again.

Does anyone have ideas/tips for engaging OH? He won't DTD on demand (understandably) but it's a pretty core part of conceiving. I wondered if he is more involved in it all he might be more engaged.

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 21:27

BFN for me today, and yet no sign of AF and none of the usual warning signs.... Onwards to June Smile

5tardusty · 06/06/2016 21:31

How many dpo are you pigsbum?
Thanks for all who commented on my opks. Temps aren't playing ball just yet so i'm hoping they'll go up soon. Not sure that orally temping is v accurate for me though, as I seem to be coming out borderline hypothermic!! Might have to try vaginally next month Blush

Good luck to everyone this week wherever you are in your cycle. We are due some BFPs!

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 21:57

12 days Dusty, although I ovulated late this month on day 17 so I don't know if that makes a difference...I am usually 26 day cycles with an occasional 28 day one but today is day 28 and countingConfusedtypical that it all goes haywire as soon as I start paying close attention!

5tardusty · 06/06/2016 22:35

Haha just typical! BFN at 12dpo isnt that unusual i don't think, i don't think you're out just yet!

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 22:40

Ooooo really?? I am going to try and utterly fail to forget about it for a few more days and if there is no change by the weekend test again.

So in reality I'll probably bulk buy my body weight in tests tomorrow and pee on a stick every hour on the hour Grin

SkyLucy · 07/06/2016 00:19

Hi everyone, thanks for your wisdom earlier when I was losing it! I'm posting late, when I should be asleep, because I have good news.....I got a BFP this evening Grin. Strangest feeling ever - DH and I are in shock! It's actually our wedding anniversary, and I had a ridiculous amount of fun wrapping up the positive test and watching him open it as one of his pressies!

Anyway, it's very, very early days (Clearblue digi says 1-2 weeks) so I might go quiet for a bit - I know how common it is for things not to work out. I'll def still lurk though, and will update when I can. Night all x

LovelyFishy · 07/06/2016 03:27

Congratulations Sky, super good news!!

Nicky I totally get your feeling there! We've been trying for 10 months now, 1st couple out of my close friends group. I'm almost scared of someone else starting and getting a bfp before us!! It's silly I know, but we feel the way we feel and that's ok.

Bluebird sorry about the bfn. As for getting DH on board I find it easier not to tell him when FW is (although I think he kind of knows!) to ease "performance anxiety" issues. I also bought a little outfit from Ann Summers to try and help keep things feeling more casual and less like a scheduled event!

More symptom spitting for me...noticed some creamy cm this eve while at work, and I never get any even during FW normally! Also some light cramping, but who knows what that's about. Currently cd 21...

Ni4444 · 07/06/2016 03:33

Sky that's wonderful!!! Congrats!! And such lovely timing on your anniversary! X

blueladybird · 07/06/2016 06:02

Congratulations SkyLucy that's lovely news!

Thanks LovelyFishy - I have been telling him when the FW is so might try not doing so this month. But also wondered about going the other way and getting him an app/tracker so he can tell me when the best time is (and I'll pretend I don't know) so that he feels more in control. But perhaps that's just weird.

Just need AF to hurry up now. I think today is the day as it's the one week anniversary of my boobs starting to hurt which is when she normally appears. No idea why I tested last night to be honest but please forgive my sin.

Pigsbum · 07/06/2016 06:45

Congratulations Skylucy! Great news X

nicky883 · 07/06/2016 07:11

Lovelyfishy i know is common but i feel so terrible after she told me keep thinking why is so easy for them and so difficult for is we must have an issue . I feel like such a horrible person !

Huge congrats skylucy our anniversarry was yesterday too what a lovely present ! Did you do anything dofferent this month ?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/06/2016 08:02

marmitetoast1 · 07/06/2016 08:20

Hi all just catching up after a long weekend in the (gloriously sunny!) Peak District with DHs family. Had a great time spending time with SiLs little ones.

Still catching up but congrats sky!! And love the idea of wrapping the bfp stick up and adding it to his pressies that's brilliant!!Grin

Rapidly approaching the DILR week here (well, I think) but DH is full of the cold and/or hayfever and feeling grim.... Hmm

5tardusty · 07/06/2016 11:23

Congratulations sky What lovely news! Grin

4dpo and I'm symptom spotting like crazy. Got a small bit of red blood today which I am hoping is either left over from a successful ov or even early implantation. Far too early for AF so really hoping it's not a weird cycle. The only thing annoying me is my temps which have not shifted. I'm really hoping that I've just not been measuring accurately and I did in fact ovulate. All other signs were there except the temps, which are meant to be the most accurate indicator. Aargh!

HepKestrel · 07/06/2016 12:53

congratulations sky !

LovelyFishy · 07/06/2016 13:05

Bluebird I'd never thought of doing that before, but I like the idea! Given him the tracking apa and the power!

SkyLucy · 07/06/2016 13:17

Thanks so much everyone! Yes nicky I did do something different in May...I noticed EWCM for the first time ever and said to DH "I think it's tonight"! I've never temped/OPKd and my period/ov tracker always places ov smack in the middle of my 32 day cycle, but I spotted some cheeky CM on CD20 so thought we should go for it.

The symptoms have definitely been different to BFN months. Some slight boob twinges but most notably disrupted sleep (and I always sleep 9+ hours a night. And sometimes in the day. I am a sloth) and really awful nausea/dizziness last Thursday.

Thanks for the invitation Starky - think it's a bit early days for me to join such an established grads group - will def lurk for a bit though, love the pearls of filthy wisdom ('perineal massage'?!)

Ha marmite - yep, always good to present your beloved with something you've weed on. #romantic. Hope your OH perks up enough for DILRW!

Mooseville · 07/06/2016 15:01

Brill news sky We were in need of a BFP, it's been too long!!!

marmitetoast1 · 07/06/2016 17:03

Ah thanks Sky, although he's just rung to say he's now got conjunctivitis bless him! It's wrong of me to be annoyed right?! Envy

That's interesting that you spotted ewcm for the first time!, I've never noticed it yet but s'pose this is only 3rd month off the pill. Keeping an eagle eye out this month..

Pigsbum · 07/06/2016 17:31

I thought AF arrived today but it's actually really light, I wouldn't say spotting but significantly lighter than usual...I can't help but still have my hopes up a little. None of the other usual symptoms either

kwick · 07/06/2016 17:39

Still completely lurgified and still no af!!!! EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy
I got some wierd fanjo pain earlier Hmm

bluebird3 · 07/06/2016 17:59

Well done sky that's fantastic news!

We have also been having some performance issues...it's not anxiety as much as poor dh just not that interested and trying to summon a will to bone when he's just not bothered. Before Ttc we would dtd once a week, and even every other day is a lot for him some months. Its so frustrating and also is quite a blow to my self esteem. So sick of Ttc. Maybe a few months off is what I need. Hmm
