Would love to hear from anyone taking this route ttc. I'm DOR and dh has low morphology but an amazing count and motility. So whenever af shows up in two weeks or so I'm starting Clomid, then doing a hcg trigger injection and then IUI. Hoping for success getting 2-3 good eggs to drop and putting the swimmers practically next to them!

Anyone came off clomid and then had a problem ovulating? I ovulated before clomid then ovulated on it and now 2 month after it I haven't ovulated Sad

maplebaby · 25/08/2016 16:55

Snowy hope it didn't hurt when it broke!

Broody I'm afraid I went from one month of clomid straight onto injectibles so I'm not sure. Sorry to sound patronising - but you def havent ovulated? Are you temping? I would speak to your consultant / clinic.

snowy1982 · 25/08/2016 17:30

It was a tad sore Sad

maplebaby · 25/08/2016 17:58

Oh snowy Sad this better be the month for you!!!

snowy1982 · 25/08/2016 18:52

They ended up having to use a steel one and doc said if I have to get it done again to tell them to use the steel, boy was it cold. If it works it was all worth it though

Hey maple,
My first appointments is the 20th September, I'm scared and excited all at the same time. I will be on cycle day 10 then roughly so I'm hoping I could start by the October cycle or maybe it will be the November one. Life feels like its at a stand still at the minute, I don't want to make plans just in case...
How are you finding the injections? Have you stopped taking the Clomid?

I'm on cycle day 14 and still not had a peak smiley. Does it advise testing at night as well? I can't find the instructions. I'm trying to work out timings because DH is on long days, so he would be grateful if he could avoid it tonight. ;-)

I've also bought a mooncup in a last ditch attempt, things we do hey.

Good luck for this month everyone.

maplebaby · 25/08/2016 19:49

I hope your appointment comes round quickly! I know what you mean about making plans - equally you don't want to stop doing things though! I'm sure you'll have more of an idea after the appointment.

Injectibles are going fine so far - off the clomid now - my lining was so thin last cycle they decided it was better to be on the injectibles and supplement with oestrogen if needed.

With the CB OPKs it says test with first morning urine. Could you use cheapies too? You could get a surge in the evening!

Question for the group, has anyone ever experienced twinges post IUI? Their not cramps, actually feel like ovulation pains although not as strong and on both sides rather than one.

Don't know if it's something good, something bad or nothing at all

maplebaby · 30/08/2016 13:45

Snowy I didn't have any twinges.. I don't think I have had ovulation cramps before and rarely get AF cramps so i might not be a good person to ask! How are you getting on now?

Update from me is that I responded a bit too well to the injectibles - had 10 follicles! Just had some urgent blood tests done as they should give them more of an idea of how many are actually "ripe" - I'm praying only 3 out of the 10 Confused otherwise they will cancel.
Good news was that my lining was 7.6mm though which is the thickest it's ever been!

Dizzybintess · 30/08/2016 13:51

I will be starting a 2 month course on day 2 of my next cycle. I used them for my daughter 5 years ago and it worked on cycle 2

snowy1982 · 30/08/2016 14:13

Getting on fine Maple still a bit twingey though and have been a bit of an emotional wreck today, don't know if thats still the trigger shot working on me or if i am just being a moody cow for no good reason Grin

snowy1982 · 31/08/2016 08:04

Officially half way through the TWW and keeping my fingers crossed that the next week flies by

friends123 · 31/08/2016 15:38

Good luck snowy! I hope the next week goes quick and it ends with a BFP for you.

Yay Maple, great news about your lining! I hope some of your follicles go back down so you can proceed this month still.

maplebaby · 31/08/2016 17:57

Hope the next week goes quickly for you snowy!

Thanks friends - they cancelled it unfortunately as blood tests showed I had 4 mature follicles and as I'm 30, the risk of them all taking were too high. I'm really disappointed but equally understand why they don't want to risk it.

Next cycle they will half the dose!

snowy1982 · 31/08/2016 18:15

Ack Maple sorry that they cancelled it, but better safe than sorry

I so sorry Mrs hugs and Flowers for you

star1980 · 04/09/2016 12:02

Oh Mrs, I'm so so sorry to hear that. It's so cruel after all you've been through to get a bfp to lose it. Please be kind to yourself and take care. Flowers

Julia2016 · 05/09/2016 09:19

Very sorry for your loss mrs. Hope you are both doing ok. 😔

It must be incredibly tough Mrs. :(

I was on Clomid this month, from the ovulation sticks I don't think I ovulated, I'd one strong line but it didn't seem strong enough to be a positive. We dtd but I wasn't one bit careful with anything, drank wine and generally forgot about it. I don't hold out much hope for this month, period not due until Wednesday week. I've a gyne appointment on September 24th so we will go from there..

maplebaby · 05/09/2016 11:56

Mrs Flowers so sorry to read this, please look after yourself.

My cycle was cancelled as too many follicles so just waiting for AF - not sure when though, in about 2 weeks maybe. Then back to injectibles but half dose only.

snowy1982 · 05/09/2016 11:57

Tail end of the TWW here - according to clinic i can test on Wednesday, though think i will wait until Thursday (assuming AF is a no show) as am off work. Heading away for the weekend with DH for our wedding anniversary so if its bit news this month at least i will be going away from the world for a few days to regroup

Russkispy · 06/09/2016 11:07

Dear ladies,
I need your help. Short summary about me
Age 40
DH41
TTC #1
Cycle 5 (yet to find out if BFP or BFN)

In November 2014 gad polyps removed and the same time discovered my left tube is closed/blocked which was a bit of a shock. Had some checks done in March and not sure how and why but thought the tubewas open. I'm not from here and allof the above was done in IVF Riga clinic.
Anyway, we've started TTC in April but no BFP yet. I told the same clinic I'd try IUI after 6 cycles,so they took DH's sperm and stored in the freezer and gave me Clomid equivalent. As I always knew I'd get it done over there, I'd then start taking the drug on CD5 bio still here and then fly over. But here's my question, do you think I should try Clomid and natural intercourse or straight to IUI with Clomid? I read all morning today and can't work it out what to do! I'll still take the drug on cd5 as they told me and then fly to check my tubes again and at the same time they can do ultrasound on cd 10-11 to see how I respond to the drug. But then what? Shall fly home for natural dtd or stay for IUI?! I can do this trip while still unemployed. And can afford being off of work. And it's so much cheaper in Riga! Would like to hear your thoughts as breaking my brains here and can't figure it out by myself! Big sigh
