Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

snow I sometimes get vagina pain close to my period too.
Better luck next cycle ema, sorry to hear you've been waiting so long.
Glad you know where you stand skip although would rather it had been on the other side of the fence for you hon.

This waiting room is emptying out Sad
Might have to turn the music up!

Pug I've no idea what implantation feels sadly, have you tried dr Google? Hope that's what it is!

HepKestrel · 18/05/2016 14:37

I guess snow should be joining us soon?

LovelyFishy · 18/05/2016 15:17

I'm out the waiting room too now, AF finally rocked up. Even though I'm now officially in cycle 10 I'm feeling remarkably up-beat...

Pug you work shifts right? When do you temp each day?

Snowdog37 · 18/05/2016 15:25

Af is due over the weekend so I'm clinging to a fraying thread if hope she won't turn up. Although if she does, I'm starting Clomid etc with this next cycle so it's pretty exciting too to see what happens.

AliceScarlett · 18/05/2016 15:38

The witch has got so many of us today Confused

Pugmummy87 · 18/05/2016 16:28

Alice I got quite obvious ovulation pain last Tuesday and I only ever get that when I do actually ovulate. I don't really trust the opks ever since I found out they are unreliable for women with pcos.

fishy it's only occasionally I work shifts, most of the time I do a regular 9-5. I take it every morning at 6am when my alarm goes off. There is only 2 days on that chart where I took it later because I slept in longer on a day off.

Who knows what is going on in my body.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/05/2016 16:55

Sorry she got so many of you, the bitch! 🍸🍷🍦🍰🍫🍟🍔

Anyone heard how jam got on yesterday? Hope all went well for her at the scan.

Ah, makes sense pug.

I do wonder about CM and its ability to predict ov, some people say they never have anything other than creamy cm and get a BFP.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/05/2016 18:16

alice I honestly never had a snifter of any kind of cm until after conception/bfp. I'm dubious about it.

LovelyFishy · 18/05/2016 18:20

After worrying about shift work, today's article from Ovia: how shift work hampers fertility!! Thanks Ovia. Hmm

Pugmummy87 · 18/05/2016 18:29

Alice I only seem to get ewcm when I take epo! Even then it's only a small amount, I never get it in my underwear like some women seem to. Also it's never completely clear looking.

fishy I gave up with ovia, one moment she's all enthusiastic and practically screaming at you that every symptom could be possible early pregnancy symptom and to poas, then she puts up articles like that!
I did use to do shift work until about 5 years ago, hoping it didn't completely muck things up down there!

bluebird3 · 18/05/2016 20:16

pug I struggle to identify ewcm too. This is totally tmi but I always get a ton of cm a few hours or the morning after sex. Since we dtd a lot during ISW I never know what the cm is from.

On another note... Really upset today. I found out that two close friends (and colleagues) are leaving work to start their own business. I'm really hurt they didn't ask me, but even more that they didn't tell me. I found a leaflet by accident they had printed at work. I'm devastated as Ttc isn't going well and now this. I already don't like work that much but it's been ok since I had friends at work. Now they are leaving and I feel betrayed as well. Sad puppy tonight. SadSadSad

LovelyFishy · 18/05/2016 20:27

I also hardly ever see cm. Saw a little last cycle and that was the first with epo, but still not loads.

I've only ever worked shifts, over 10 years now. The fact that I've got no other known fertility issues, I'm under 30 and into cycle 10.... Maybe I'm panicking too soon but it does worry me!

Sorry to hear about work Blue. That's a double whammy. Sad

bluebird3 · 18/05/2016 21:58

Thanks lovely. It's shit when Ttc doesn't happen and doesn't happen and doesn't happen...nobody prepares you for what this feels like. I don't know how long I can do it but then also can't imagine life without kids. Hang in there. Fingers crossed that you're bfp is on its way soon. FlowersFlowers

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 22:12

So sorry to hear that bluebird, that sounds really hurtful. I hope you will be better off without them xx

bluebird3 · 18/05/2016 23:06

Thanks sucha. I don't have a lot of friends that live nearby so it will be a big loss but now I'm not sure I really want those kind of friends.

Jamjar12 · 19/05/2016 07:04

So much AF in the house, sorry guys :( Enjoy your wine, try not to beat yourselves up and then try again. Positive thoughts!

Had my scan on Tuesday, all was good :) Baby was very very fidgety (it's insane how much it was moving and I couldn't feel a thing) so we got to see it for a good half hour while they struggled to take all the measurements. I was bumped up a few days so now 13+4 and my belly has literally just been inflated to a bump!

Weird question the dr asked for a preeclampsia study I've agreed to be part of- 'How easy was it to get pregnant?' Options were Very Easy, Quite Easy, Normal, Quite Difficult or Very Difficult! What a bizarre question! I was like well, 5 months is pretty easy I guess but surely that depends on your POV?! If you'd have asked me in February, I'd have said it was looking like it was impossible!

Feefeefs · 19/05/2016 07:25

Sorry about your friends bluebird that's lousy.

Mooseville · 19/05/2016 07:50

Oh brilliant jam what a cracker!!!!

Maybe TTC is like childbirth, you forget how painful it was once you've got that BFP?? (One can hope anyway!)

Feefeefs · 19/05/2016 08:02

I think that might be true moose 4 months doesn't seem that last by now but it felt like an age at the time

HepKestrel · 19/05/2016 08:11

I'm out, and feeling annoyed with myself for clinging onto hope.
put me down for the 19th June.

SuchaJem · 19/05/2016 08:22

Awesome pic jam glad all going well.

13 DPO and got a snowy white bfn on an IC this morning so I guess I'm waiting for AF.

Onto cycle 6.

SkyLucy · 19/05/2016 08:49

Love that scan pic jamjar! The question you were asked is truly bizarre though. What meaningful data can be gleaned from responses like 'quite easy'?! It's entirely subjective!

Sorry to hear about the work upset bluebird, that's crap. I got really upset a few weeks back when I found out someone on our SMT had invited all members to a dinner party...except me! Apparently it's because I'm a vegetarian and she didn't want to 'offend me with fish'. In hindsight, that's actually hilarious, but at the time (smack in middle of tense TWW) it broke my heart!

kavanaughkj · 19/05/2016 10:12

People are odd. I'm having a bizarre form of the Monty Python's fish-slapping dance pop up in my head, SkyLucy! Offend you with fish?! ooooh-kay then.

Don't count yourself out yet Jem, it could still be too early for a bfp to show! Keeping fingers crossed for you ... and sorry to everybody who AF got. Hugs to you Hep - hope is a cruel thing I know.

I'm trying not to get mine up, actually. After thinking I had zero chance with illness and not DTD on O day, I'm tentatively excited now and trying not to let myself be. I was mega thirsty a day or so ago and I'm never normally troubled by thirst all that much - and had quite a bit of creamy CM over the last couple of days. Not masses, but more than I'd usually expect. Add to that my temps - they soared up yesterday and have stayed up this morning, so if they're still up tomorrow I'll be tri-phasic ...

... or I could be coming down with an illness, I suppose!

It's just bizarre. I was convinced I'd have no chance at all this month with the clusterf*ck that was my ISW, so I relaxed and forgot about symptom spotting for a while - just enjoyed the sunshine and good food - and now here I am symptom spotting again and trying not to work myself up.

You watch, my temps will plummet tomorrow morning, guaranteed!!

FXSkip · 19/05/2016 10:32

Morning all! Jam thats a cracker of a pic and what an active bean you have! Odd question indeed, even if they'd asked how long did you actively try for, what would that even mean? OPK'ing, Temping, cervix monitoring, ferning, SMEP... or just coming off the pill and hoping for the best.

Blue and Sky people are weird, and can be quite thoughtless at times.

Kav I feel your pain. To the point where I was like 'I can smell something, I'm defo pg.' and 'I just looked before I crossed the road (therefore have superhuman maternal instincts) I MUST be pg!'

Try to stay calm, look after yourself and try to forget about it. We're all fx for you though!
