Got my 12 week scan tomorrow and feeling slightly terrified!

Jem and moose you may have looked into it more then me but I was thinking about 5:2 and then stopped as I thought I read it can affect ovulation. INstead I started following slimming world which was working well until I started pretending to follow it and ignoring all the rules because I started running, hmm.

Gi diet (glycemic index) is brilliant. It's not so much of a diet but Dh and I follow it for the most part unconsciously and it's fantastic. Have been using the recipes for about 10 years.

Good luck jam mines on Friday. Bored of waiting now. My heart goes in my throat a bit whenever I think about it so I'm avoiding brain activity this week. not hard for me

We try to follow Low GI principles stark, I think it's a sensible way to eat too. Occasional white bread and pasta and sugary goods and booze sneak in though!

Quick Q - does anyone have any experience/knowledge about early ovulation? I have 31 day cycles and this month, after a lovely NINE day period, noticed a lot of EWCM on days 11/12 (soz for TMI). None since, and a bit gutted because we didn't DTD then. Making up for it now (), but think we've missed the boat! Any words of wisdom?

No wisdom, but I had a positive opk on cd12 a couple cycles back. So random early ovulation can happen?

Lol Stark, it's really hard not to think about it isn't it! Honestly, I think that babies take over your life even from the moment you start thinking about trying for one! This is it now, for the rest of our lives!

kav Id ruled myself out completely. Literally did it once, followed by a time the oh wanted it and I didn't, but did anyway. Gave up taking vits etc so anything is possible!

I ovulated early last month (not that early) but going by my ewcm it was defo about 6 days after. My words of wisdom is do it as soon as you spot it!

Thanks Hep and Vix - hmm...definitely think I missed my chance. I was so out of the TTC zone after my period I genuinely didn't even think about it 'til a couple of days afterwards! Gah.

Hey guys I'm still here. CD 39, 11 days late but tested this morning (OH made me) and BFN (with a clearblue digital no less, sodding waste of money) so I'm well and truly fed up now. Going to wait till back from holiday, where if AF hasn't shown I will have missed two. FFS didn't see this coming!! Thought my cycles would settle down all polite like, and then when I was ready my BFP would come through on the day AF was due. No fair!! I've no symptoms anyway, other than dull cramps in my lower belly, so sore boobs (if anything they've shrunk!!)

Skylucy don't beat yourself up about it. Honestly. People have had their BFPs without any EWCM, and when they least expected it, and when people thought they'd done everything right they get BFN - Its random!!

SkyLucy, Fertility Friend is insisting I ovulated on CD10 this period, waaaaay earlier than I usually would. I started getting EWCM from CD7 so I guess it's not outside the realms of possibility though. I'm rapidly learning that the period that I thought was pretty much set in stone is actually very variable when I pay attention to my body's signs. That said, I'm not sure how much faith I put in it because my ovulation kit reckoned I hit peak on CD11, and Fertility Friend has switched my ovulation dates on me before towards the end of a cycle for some reason - a couple of times now, each time by 2 days. Also it's telling me my cycle should end on CD 25 this month now instead of CD27 but I'm really not sure that is right!

Struggled to get into my fat jeans this morning. I've had 2 weeks off exercise with back problems or illness and I'm grumpy. Back to one of my classes tonight I think, in the hopes I can start fighting back the extra inches! My problem is that I hate dieting - I love food too much to restrict myself.

Finally plucked up the courage to do my test this morning, bfn, just waiting on af to go back to scratch so as to speak booked a little pamper session at my beauticians to cheer myself up a little.

Ladies I have early ovulation the cycle I got my BFP. I had a peak fertility on day 9 and the DtD on day 10 and 11. I had ewcm on both of these days. I think I would usually ovulate slightly later than this but this was my first month of doing OPKs so I don't know for sure though! I wasn't expecting it until a couple of days later at least as hats what FF and ovia had been telling me for the previous few cycles!
