We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

So I have 1 vial left of magic potion, clinic have confirmed I need to have 2 vials for IVF - and both need to be from same donor.

Hello just checking in, great to see all the bfps, so exciting!!

I caved in, and tested this evening with a clearblue plus I had in the cupboard, bfn. AF is not here yet but I have cramps so I expect she will arrive tomorrow. The only things giving me hope is that my temp has gone a little higher and my cervical appears to have gone so far up, it has basically disappeared however I have no idea what is normal for me in that regard so hard to judge.

Keeping my fx AF doesn't show, but I think I may be on the by the weekend! I will definitely not be testing until AF is actually late next time. Now I am just in the limbo land a pp mentioned above.

Question about EPO - do people stop taking it when they think they've ovulated (as it's not a super exact science) or when FW is over?

I stopped as soon as I ovulated lovely but I only did one opk that cycle so it could have been slightly before or after. If you've got a positive opk, I'd stop taking it.

Ah no, what does that mean kwick? Do you choose another donor?

lovely is it your first cycle with epo? I've just started taking it too but was a few days late. Started cd 6 I think. Not sure when to stop as I'm really not interested in opks anymore. My cycles are pretty regular 28 days so think I'll stop day 14. Maybe I should opk... Decisions..decisions...

This was my first cycle taking EPO too Bluebird. I started taking it CD 1 and I'm not taking it from today, CD 16. Definitely noticed a difference CM wise which was great!

Pleased to hear about the EPO doing good things! My first month taking it too, not noticed a huge difference yet but only CD 7?

Great - was determined to start DTD lots early this month and step up the game, after a few months where DTD enough hasn't happened. Woken this morning feeling yuck, sore throat, massive cold building..... Just in time for fertile week. I can never get DP anywhere near me when I'm full of lurgy! Arrrgh!!!!

This was my first cycle with EPO and I didn't notice a difference until I got my peak opk. I stopped taking it then buthe there was a huge amount more EWCM than previous cycles.

It was also my first cycle with OPKS so I don't know if we were lucky because we had a better idea of when to dtd or because of the EPO!

Fingers crossed it works for some of you loverly ladies!

Jem positive thinking as a group can be easier. Think part of it it to try and stop me getting my hopes up for this cycle too much.

If nothing happens this cycle I'm looking forward to chatting with DH about semen analysis, he has been very good with DTD and is defintely excited to be trying but not sure how he will cope with jizz in a cup!

starky all this talk of boring 2ww is definately making me drink more while I can, not sure thats what I'm supposed to do?!

I contacted the magic potion bank to ask - so lets see what thet say. If only 1 vial then clinic can do ICSI - which adds to cost- to be honest I reckon 1 vial will be enough as I will likely only have 1 egg. I did some bank searching yesterday but got a bit overwrought with lack of choice - will look again when just wrought.

Another dilemma in life of kwick:
Do I remortgage and release equity to redo bathroom (it really needs it) and pay for IVF
Or
Do I remortgage and release no equity but really reduce monthly repayment?

Morning all. Sorry things are tricky kwick. I'm a very sensible person especially financially but I would day if you can afford you payments and will be able to with a baby then try and get a bathroom and a baby, do what makes you happy. Before i got pregnant and during the brief time I was we worried about everything, was the house big enough, what would baby need, where would we put. Now I know we have more than enough regardless of when we get our baby.

PS. I can leave if people.would prefer, as I can't actively ttc for another couple of months. Xx

Managed to dtd yesterday so my mood has taken a dramatic upwards shift! Not the best month but I feel we at least have a chance now. Bring on the tww!

twink I never noticed a difference in my cm when I was taking epo, (but was only taking it one cycle ) I'm putting my luck down to starting earlier (before ovia said my fertile peak day was) and going for longer, ie. It said I was due to ovulate Friday/Saturday, so we dtd Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Literally a week of banging! I was taking epo and folic acid.

Jem been trying on and off since April (got a new job in Jan and 3 month notice period meant trying a bit less during that time) as far as GP is concerned we have been trying solidly since August. Not to sure about the OTC kits, would prob trust it but if we need/want a referral he will have to just MTFU.

Just need to contol the wine/gin intake so I don't gain weight, really need to try and get my BMI down if I'm going to end up needing referral but its just tricky, also I really like food and keep giving in to cravings like that will make me get my BFP.

Kwick, with my practical accountant head on, I'd say lower the monthly repayment (and put the difference into a savings account) but clearly I actually think you should go for bathroom and ivf. Although the former may be because I'm desperate to re-do our bathroom. One of the walls is totally mirrored and I really have had enough of seeing myself go to the loo/have a shower.

Based on average cycle lengths, AF is officially due today but as I lost track of when I ovulated, not sure how accurate that is. Have had cramps for over a week now but they got worse last night which leads me to believe AF is nearly here. After the BFN on Monday, just going to wait and see what happens now. I can deal with an early BFN but for some reason can't face the thought of getting one once AF is due/late.
