Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Hello newbies!

(I'm sure we were talking about temping was back on thread 3-5 ish.... And I'm pretty sure someone was telling me that you had to take the temp from your foo... Maybe stark or someone else might remember??)

Mooseville · 25/04/2016 22:37

Evening girls! Just had a quick catch up after landing from a long weekend in France!!

Congrats maya Lovely to see a BFP - we seem to have lost our lucky streak!

I completely ignored the TWW in France, ate pate, cheese and drank red wine. If there is a little blastocyst in there it's dressed in a stripey jumper, wearing a beret with a string of garlic round it's neck! I just couldn't bear to ruin a holiday on the miniscule chance that I was upduffed.

However, I am all up for the healthy eating/exercise support group. I've totally let myself go the past couple of months, no wonder I'm not getting preggers! Regime starts tomorrow!

Feefeefs · 25/04/2016 22:44

I think I remember it being foof temperature too Kat

Ni4444 · 25/04/2016 22:59

Yeah I think someone said foof temp is more accurate, but I'll take a bit of inaccuracy over feeling like a turkey being basted!! Enough hitting my foof as it is in this ttc malarkey!

Moose that sounds absolutely blissful!!

twinkydink · 26/04/2016 07:56

So good to see everyone being active. I did yoga last night and have netball tonight!

neon glad you are finally out of limbo land and can get cracking with a new cycle.

kwick if you are reading this we are thinking about you Flowers

I'm thinking of getting a thermometer next cycle if no joy this one. FF won't commit to an ovulation date without it so I'm still none the wiser of when I actually ovulate!

SuchaJem · 26/04/2016 08:57

Morning all Smile

Hahaa at your little French blastocyst moose I hope you have brought home a little stowaway!

All this exercise is inspiring! I'm doing a fitness class tonight after work run by a colleague in Regents Park. Hoping the sun stays out!

I've updated the list, please let me know if I've missed anyone.

HepKestrel · 26/04/2016 09:53

sorry about AF ninja, but new cycle new egg! And 43 days? yeek.... don't envy you there!

Have started ov testing this morning. neg at cd10.
fx that the window overlaps nicely with the weekend!

am trying the clearblue digital monitor with the 4 day window (flashing smileys) You can find them at reasonable price on t'internet from your favourite tax-dodging evil shopping site.

kavanaughkj · 26/04/2016 11:09

I take my temps from foof - definitely more accurate. I tend to sleep with my mouth open a lot (attractive, huh) so my temps varied wildly - went to the foof for more reliable ones. That said, my chart still has a touch of the Rocky Mountains going on.

Moose, totally think you did the right thing. People always bang on about relaxing to get upduffed and the last thing you'd want to do is worry about food choices on holiday. I'd have done exactly the same (and did, on honeymoon - there was no WAY I was going to abstain while I was out there!!).

blueladybird · 26/04/2016 11:19

HepKestrel - I used the Clearblue 4 day window ones this month - due to irregular cycles I had to use a lot of sticks - they are expensive but it saved squinting and holding it up to the light to guess if it was a line or not. It suggests stopping testing if 9 days of high but no peak but I had a box of 20 so carried on (like anyone TTC is going to stop). I wasted several sticks by failing to follow instructions - my brain isn't in gear first thing.

bluebird - would you like me to change my username to avoid any confusion? I have only just joined so noone knows me as blueladybird yet.

Thanks or the tips re: temping Ni4444. I don't think I can face anything other than mouth or armpit so I'll start that next month.

Snowdog37 · 26/04/2016 11:29

Just popping in for a quick cuppa... I do miss English tea but I just got told yesterday that there's a supermarket near here that sells proper Yorkshire tea so I'm going there today to buy the lot!
13dpo and have had zero, and I mean absolutely no, signs of anything. I'm due af today or maybe tomorrow at a push. I've only just started getting cramps so I feel like af was just finding a new way to torment me. If she's not rocked up by tonight I'll test. The good news is our new fertility dr has cleared both dh and I for medicated IUI starting in June! Dh's counts are good, he killed all his swimmers by transporting them in an air conditioned car the first time. I guess he didn't take me seriously when I said to keep them body temp in his bra or something. His second sample was much better, over 300 million and 65% motile. Low morphology but that's ok according to the dr as his counts basically indicate 200+ million motile sperm. Hoping with Clomid I'll release a couple of decent eggs and the washed sperm he said will be at least 30-50 million so we are in good shape.
How's everyone else? Congrats may 🎉🎉💐💐

SkyLucy · 26/04/2016 12:03

Just need to share that I'm being tormented by the idea I'm preggers, smack in the middle of my TWW. Just chaired the department senior management team meeting thinking how much my boobs hurt!! Psychosomatic I'm sure. What an idiot. Argh.

HepKestrel · 26/04/2016 12:26

hi sky !

I think most of us have convinced ourselves in the middle of tww! (despite promising ourselves to the contrary!)

sore boobs can equally be AF related as they can be pg related.

SkyLucy · 26/04/2016 12:32

Ah thanks for the solidarity and rational reasoning Hep! Needed that...seems to have escaped me today! Gah. Smile

LovelyFishy · 26/04/2016 13:04

The cycle before last I was convinced I was upduffed due to sore boobs. Even fluffing up a pillow sans bra hurt too much to do! But alas, the tww and it's evil mind games.

Snow great to hear from you again, glad you'll be getting a proper cuppa soon! Also good news on the swimmers and IUI go-ahead, hopefully not long for you now. Smile

bluebird3 · 26/04/2016 13:59

sky and lovely I too have fallen victim to thinking sore boobs = pg. even though ive been through this before... But they really, really hurt this time. But they hurt far less today so I think it's the usual pms symptom. I'm not due till this weekend sometime. Bleh.

blueladybird I'm not bothered by the similar names so do whatever you like Smile and welcome to the group. ThanksThanks

Ni4444 · 26/04/2016 15:21

Great news Snow! Sounds like things are lining up nicely!! Fingers crossed June is the month!

I had sore boobs last month too as a pre AF symptom-first time ever! Bodies are such a torment!!

mayago · 26/04/2016 15:25

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I did a digital test last night, and OH was so much more excited to see it written out in black and white. The faintness of the second line was really confusing for him!

I really liked MFP for logging calorie intake, but it's my fitbit that gets me moving. I have friends who use it as well, and we've started competing. It gets a little obsessive, and is no where near doing a full session in the gym, but it's reliable for me!

I wish I'd not gained while TTC. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow, and already having a hard time fastening my jeans. It's like the TWW in how it's messing with my head! Even faced with having to start a new wardrobe tomorrow, I wouldn't change it for the world Flowers

Snowdog37 · 26/04/2016 15:27

I've had zero symptoms this month. Every other month I've had cramps or spotting or rages lol. FF is telling me I'm past my usual luteal phase and to test... I think af will be turning up some time tonight. It's hard not t obsess at this point!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 26/04/2016 16:27

I had every single one of my usual af symptoms guys. They mean nothing, honestly! My boobs are as sore today at 9+5 as they were at 7dpo! I had my standard cramps and spots too. And I still keep thinking af has arrived.

Still not told a soul, it's getting boring now. Not got booking in (for bloods etc) till next week and then scan date will be produced. But it could be another 3 weeks before it happens. Yawn! Haven't had any early scan's so have no idea if/what's going on in there.

Dh has been really "helpful" by cleaning everything.
So far he's broken ;
The pipe under the sink.
The George Formby lean mean grilling machine.
A wheel off the hoover.
The dryer is making a funny noise.
The back off a cabinet.
The oven smells of chemicals.

The man's a liability. I'm going g to have to wait till h goes to the gym and then stealth sneak my Dad in to surreptitiously fix everything! Swear to God he's nesting or something!

How is everything/everyone? I'm in limbo because I still don't believe I'm pregnant so can't get excited and I'm bored now with the immense wait! Don't test early guys, it just increases the amount of time you have to kill!

kwick thinking of you all the time Flowers

Hi everyone, can I jump on?

OH and I are ttc our 1st and this is the first month we've (or I) have actually bothered to look out for ovulation!

Currently in the tww and I'm running my brain ragged. Convinced myself that there is no way that I'm pregnant, but every thirty seconds, another voice pops up going 'yeah but what if?' - very tiring.

I pretty much have no idea what i'm doing ovulation wise, I could use some advice...I used a cycle tracker app this month and it said that I should have ovulated on Friday but my EWCM got involved too early and turned up on Tuesday.

So if I go by that, I ovulated either Tuesday, Wednesday or maybe Thursday at a psuh? When the CM is clear and stringy, that EWCM right? Is that when you ovulate or is it the day after that stops? On Thursday afternoon / Friday I settled back into regular CM, so I wouldn't have ovulated then would I...? (sorry that's a lot of questions!)

We dtd Sunday, Monday and Wednesday so I hope I ovulated earlier in the week and not Friday otherwise I missed it!

If I did ovulate Tues or Weds, I'd be 6/7DPO today but I feel absolutely no different, no tender breasts, no nausea, no nothing. Is it too early for all that? Am I prematurely psyching myself out? Should I feel no different at this stage if we had managed to conceive this month? Although I am extraordinarily cranky today, no patience whatsoever and the sarky comments I keep making are even shocking me lol and I had a very light, 5 minute AFish cramp this morning and I have been outrageously gassy the last 24 hours (TMI, I know!). But is that even a pregnancy sign? Probably not!

Any help would be much appreciated!! x

Kathrino · 26/04/2016 17:52

Snow, that's great news re DH's sample. Keeping everything crossed that you get that BFP soon.

Welcome ktt! I tend to get EWCM for 4 - 5 days before I ovulate but as soon as I ovulate it disappears so you could well have ovulated earlier in the week. FX you caught that egg!

Kwick709 · 26/04/2016 17:55

Welcome newbies!

CONGRATULATIONS mayago!!!! Star

ipatches I missed you - so glad you are back

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your lovely messages and having me in your thoughts.
Not sure if I mentioned but I opted for an op - had that on Friday. Managed to get an allergic reaction to anti-MRSA lotion on tummy flab that hangs over (in the crease) which causes no end of itchiness and misery. My womble hurts and I am still bleeding... Want it to end so I can go swimming and do some yoga.
Managed to give myself diarrhea with yesterdays choice takeaway...
I am off work until 4 May... I really need this time - not just physically.
Have come up with some PMA:

  1. Am able to get upduffed (albeit with intervention) - if happened once can happen again
  2. Now have longer to lose weight
  3. Now have longer to save
